Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 904: Inspection of goods
"In that case, let's have a few more drinks and toast to our partnership!" John was still speaking smooth English in that foreign accent. Hector also raised his glass in greeting.
"Cheers."
His handsome face has more than a few soft contours in the warm light, and although his features are on the dark side, they accentuate the beauty of his oriental face just right.
Seeing Hector and John having a good conversation, Pierce, who was also smiling, narrowed his eyes as he watched Hector drink a glass of red wine without changing his face and praised, "I didn't expect Mr Hector to be such a good drinker!" Compared to Hector, John's face was already red with drink, and even his neck was red.
John leaned back in his chair, somewhat half-drunk, "Nice! I'll drink to you again, come on! Go on."
It was clear that John had been drinking heavily.
Hector raised an eyebrow and drained his glass again, the red wine slicing across his throat and surging up in a burning layer.
By the end of the day, only Hector's sanity remained at the entire table.
He looked at John and the others who were slumped over the table and got up and said to Thomas behind him, "Let's go."
"Yes."
Thomas was not surprised to see how much Hector had drunk.
Hector's drinking he dares to say second, no one dares to say first.
On the way back to the hotel, Hector opened the window and let the night breeze pour in, taking away a large part of the smell of alcohol that hadn't dissipated.
He hadn't felt anything earlier, but now, with the alcohol coming on, he was a little dizzy.
So he spoke out and ordered, "Go back and prepare some sober soup for me."
"Good..." Thomas was mentally amazed; after all, Hector rarely had that need.
Hector rubbed his aching brow as he drove all the way to the hotel entrance.
Just as Hector was washing up, Thomas brought in a bowl of sobriety soup, something he had gone to the hotel kitchen to make fresh.
Hector casually wiped his damp hair with a towel and downed the just-right temperature sobriety soup in one go.
Afterwards, it was time to half lie down on the bed and make the usual video call to Eloise.
Eloise was a little sleepy, but once she saw the familiar face, any sleepiness dissipated.
By now, Hector's booze had mostly dissipated, so it was not obvious that he had returned from a hangover.
He didn't delay Eloise's sleep and just before a few words were exchanged, he said, "Go to bed, night owl."
Eloise glared at him, she was staying up late because of him?
However, nothing more was said.
Eloise hung up after saying goodnight to each other and drifted off to sleep.
...
Early the next morning, the sun poured through the window in a room.
Hector's entire body is bathed in the morning sunlight as he buttons the end of his cuffs with one hand, a dark grey blazer over his white shirt. At that moment, there was a knock on the door of the room.
"Please come in." Hector's voice was calm and unmoving, his body standing in front of the window, leaving a blurred silhouette in vain.
Thomas walked in and looked at Hector, "Prince, Pierce and John are already downstairs, go and inspect the goods later."
Hector nodded, "Got it, tell them to wait a moment."
Whenever they want to watch it, it's the same for Hector.
Hector washed up, had a few hasty bites of breakfast and then took the lift downstairs.
John and Pierce, who were sitting on the sofa in the hotel lobby, stood up as soon as they saw Hector coming down and greeted him straight away. Hector said slightly apologetically, "Sorry to keep you waiting, let's go to the warehouse now."
John shook his head unconcernedly, "It's okay, we've only just arrived anyway."
Pierce smiled back, "Yes, Mr Hector, you are too kind."
The three men walked out of the hotel door together, Thomas following behind them.
The four men then got into two separate cars, one black and one white.
The black one is Hector's car, and he sits in the back seat, his narrow eyes looking ahead with amusement.
He was quite happy with this start.
After about twenty minutes or so, the car pulled up in front of an abandoned factory, which looked a bit ramshackle from the outside.
Thomas found a warehouse in a relatively secluded location, but not on the outskirts of town either, just the right distance.
Hector got out of his car and saw John and Pierce's car followed by a car, and the officers who came down also had toolboxes with them. With a quick glance, Hector had a rough guess as to who they were.
Pierce ordered one of the white-clad men, "Okay, you guys go in and check it out."
At Pierce's command, they walked in one by one.
"Mr Hector, the results are in and we'll sign the contract immediately." Pierce was very pleased with the speed.
After all, if this batch of herbs can be ordered so early, then the time to make the medicine will be a little quicker. Hector looked at Pierce with a bemused expression, "Yes."
He stood there in a calm and relaxed manner, as if he was a landscape unto himself.
The men who went in were supposed to be professionals brought in by John and Pierce. But no amount of professionalism would have helped.
The quality of his batch of herbs is untraceable.
Hector and John and Pierce walked slowly into the warehouse, only to see a man dressed in white, pulling samples from several of the bags before going through some of the processes of testing the drugs. After a while, one of the leading men, walking up to John and Pierce, reported, "After testing, the drugs are fine."
With that, he handed over the test results in his hand.
John and Pierce confirmed this personally before looking to Hector who was standing off to the side.
John smiled and nodded, "The herbs are up to scratch."
Hector was impressed, "The expected outcome."
Pierce laughed out loud, "Mr Hector sure is confident in his supply of herbs!"
