Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 906: Another Door
Hector sniffed, a slight curiosity passing through his eyes, "What exactly is the place?"
In fact, it was roughly clear to him exactly what the place was.
But he didn't mind making a scene with John, casually going along with it as if he really didn't know anything about it at all. It is purely just a businessman who works with them.
As the lift rises, it soon, reaches the seventh floor.
Unlike the marble of the hall, the white tiles here glow like a mystery.
Without the luxury of the lobby, Hector guessed that this would be where pharmaceutical research was done.
John saw Hector's puzzled expression and stroked his chin with some pride, "This, here, is the SA headquarters institute."
Hector pretended to be enlightened and said, "No wonder it looks so sacred, I didn't realise it was the Institute, Mr John has really opened my eyes."
John laughed aloud, "Nowhere, nowhere."
And then John took the lead, leading Hector and the others to the end of the passage, where the walls were set with two transparent doors, of a similar material to glass.
A man in white overalls appeared inside, his eyes looking at them calmly, opened the door from the inside and said respectfully, "Mr John, hello!"
John smiled and nodded, "Good work!"
They walked in as a group and Hector looked like he was visiting, but didn't move to take a look around.
The research lab is bigger than they expected and not at all comparable to Almeida and Sener's institute.
There is also a wide range of advanced research equipment and medical instruments.
Hector was careful to notice that the walls not far away were filled with small holes, similar to sound-absorbing devices.
Hector didn't count the staff here in detail, but a rough estimate would put it in the hundreds.
And, this is just the number of staff on one of the floors of the building.
Hector is not sure that this is the only research room here.
As Hector looked on, he said to John, "This place is huge."
John smiled, "That's natural, our group has an absolutely superb technical team, each and every one of them, we have hired heavily. If you really want to do research, you can't have one without the other, equipment, space and talent." Hector chimed in and then asked, seemingly casually, "Mr John, may I see for myself?"
John raised his eyebrows and nodded without hesitation, "That's for sure, since I brought you here, you have that right."
"Good."
Hector began to look around, the curiosity that filled his eyes could not be hidden. He remembered, of course, to do the whole show.
He showed Thomas around, watching the researchers in action, but could clearly feel two eyes resting on him behind him the whole time.
Hector sneered, John had promised to let him visit on his own, but was only being polite.
It would be difficult for him to really disabuse them of their suspicions and wariness, at least not now.
He took a few more steps, looked at a measuring cup of bubbling purple liquid in front of him, and wondered, "What is this, please?"
The researcher was about to pour another liquid in when he smelled it and paused in his movements, "It's a mixture of the juice of the perilla leaves and the drug for purification."
Hector nodded thoughtfully and didn't pursue the question any further; he didn't really intend to be able to ask anything.
With that, and moving forward, on the right hand side are layers and layers of iron shelves, several of which are concentrated with a variety of vessels, while others are piles of herbs. Hector asked the same simple questions again as before.
Without exception, they were all answered.
But it was all half-understood, telling him only one piece of information, that the herbs were good for what they did. For the rest, only ambiguous words remain.
It didn't take much thinking to know that this was something John and the others had arranged to say beforehand.
Hector turned back to John, who had followed him all the way, and Pierce, "I don't know much about researching pharmaceuticals, I wonder if I could ask Mr Pierce to give me a brief introduction?"
He seems to be a man who seeks to learn, but one who must also keep a good handle on the situation.
Both making his curiosity less overly curious and not at all, Hector had to be authentic and natural.
Otherwise, it would be easy to arouse the suspicions of John and Pierce, two old foxes.
At that, Pierce narrowed his eyes and replied, "Most of the products we extract now are mainly health products, which are good for daily health care, but there are three types of medicine, so the "filtering" step is very important... ..." The irony of hearing "poison" from his lips was all Hector could think of.
Hector looks serious as he listens to Pierce's half-truths and blatherings.
Naturally he could sense their caution, which was only natural, after all, this had only just begun to work together. They were still in the observation period, so how could they possibly reveal all the Institute's secrets? After the tour, he was about to leave when, with a sweep of his eyes, he actually saw a door with a coded device in an inconspicuous corner.
He slowed his pace, pointed to the door and spoke casually, "Is this a research room too?"
