Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 910: Caught in the act
Hector looked at Eloise helplessly and before he could even begin to guess, he heard the sound of two little ones giggling and giggling, and getting louder. "Hahahahahaha, daddy dumb and dumber, can't guess..."
Sweety was quite honestly tearing her daddy down, and Solomon mixed in with the small group of people mocking Hector.
Hector laughed out loud, "You two little guys, you're not going to fight for three days, are you?"
Eloise reminded the two little ones with a smile, "Did you hear that, you keep laughing and Daddy's going to beat you up when he gets back."
"Well, daddy don't hit me! I'm sure I'll be good and I won't laugh!"
Sweety sat up with a surge of energy, flopped into Eloise's arms, padded into the screen, and assured Hector.
The same is true of Solomon.
Hector laughed out loud and instructed, "Okay, how could daddy want to hit you? But, Solomon and Sweety be good and don't disturb Mummy, okay?" "Got it!"
The two little ones nodded very nicely.
They are rowdy when they are rowdy, but they are also more obedient one than the other.
After complimenting them, Hector admonished Eloise, "Well, Eloise, it's time for you to go to bed, too, it's important to get well."
Eloise didn't expect to hang up the video so soon. She looked reluctantly at Hector's face and lifted her lips, wanting to say something, but not saying anything. She knew that Hector was also doing it for her own good.
He finally had to press end the call under his urging gaze, and Solomon and Sweety, being children after all, fell asleep as soon as they hit the pillow.
With the lights off, Eloise's ears were filled with the sound of two children breathing long and soundly.
After a long time, she too drifted off to sleep, her head replaying Hector's appearance.
After Hector and Eloise ended the call, he was still a little uneasy and went straight to Almeida's mobile number.
Despite the lateness of the night, the call was answered in a matter of seconds; Almeida and Sener had been staying up late doing research for the past few days.
Unbeknownst to Hector, Almeida and Sener looked at each other when she received the call, both of them with a slightly mixed expression.
Hector got right to the point and asked, "Eloise has a cold and fever, is it affecting her health much?"
Fever?
Almeida and Sener stare wide-eyed before it quickly dawns on them that Eloise should have made this up off the top of her head with Hector.
So Almeida tried her best to control her weakness and matched Eloise's words perfectly, "Not much."
No wonder, who let them be threatened by Eloise already.
Sener and Almeida are bitter in their hearts, this couple, one tells them to tell the truth and the other tells them to tell lies?
Only after hearing them say this did Hector's hanging heart drop and explained, "You must keep an eye on her health at all times and remember to talk to me if there is anything going on." The thought of Eloise's pale cheeks made Hector's heart ache inexpressibly.
Nothing should ever happen to her.
Naturally, Almeida was full of it.
But in his heart of hearts, he was so upset that if he lied to the prince with Miss Eloise like that, the prince would skin him when he found out the truth! Early the following morning.
Hector had just finished his breakfast when Killers breezed in, today in a black dress that reached her thighs with a different kind of sexiness.
She spoke with some excitement, "My men have found out that the SA Group's side is shipping the herbs out tonight, and I plan to do it before they do."
Hector took a light sip of his coffee and nodded slightly, "If you're going to do it, get on with it, what are you doing running to me?"
Easily doused Killers' flurry of enthusiasm without a hint of mercy.
Killers grunted and glared at Hector's cold side face and couldn't help but grit his teeth, "You're just so heartless, aren't you? May I ask, am I not helping you now, you really are too good at breaking my fragile little heart, aren't you?" Listening to Killers' accusations, Hector acted as if he hadn't heard them and simply admonished, "Be very careful on tonight's operation."
Was this a simple dictate to send her off?
However, she knew that this was as far as Hector could go.
She couldn't help but bristle, "Don't worry, it can be anything."
...
SA Group, President's Office.
The atmosphere was oppressive and John sat in his office chair with an extremely gloomy face, as if covered by dark clouds.
One pair of eyes filled with anger as they stared at the group of research lab staff dressed in white in front of them.
The pressure-filled gaze made them even breathe with caution.
John suppressed his anger and his voice was so cold it seemed to be squeezed out of his teeth, "What the hell is going on here?"
The researchers were trembling, and one of them spoke up stiffly, "When we took inventory this morning, we found a few tubes of germs and some drugs missing from the freezer.
At the time, I thought it was an illusion, but when I verified it, I found out that it was really missing."
This man was one of those who had entered the research room last night.
John slammed the table with a loud "ping" that sent a shiver down the spine of several people in front of him.
John's fists clenched in anger as he pressed on, "How could it be missing for good reason? Did someone suspicious get into the research room last night?"
The staff member who spoke earlier, replied, "No, only Shaun and I went in last night to look at the cultivated germs.
Also, fingerprints and facial recognition are required to enter the research room, so if a suspicious person entered, there's no way we wouldn't know about it. It could have been yesterday during the day shift ..." He did not finish his sentence, but the meaning could not be clearer.
After all, he and Shaun had only gone in to have a look and hadn't paid attention or counted the numbers, and it's likely that the day shift session had gone awry.
John had obviously thought of that too and spoke up, "Get all the staff who had entered the research room on day shift yesterday in here."
Anyway, that's how many people come in and out of that research room, and asking and ruling them out one by one first is one way to go.
The staff from the day shift soon arrived, standing in a neat row.
"Did you notice anything unusual yesterday?"
John still has great trust in the people inside the Institute.
However, it cannot be ruled out that there are any other people mixed in.
A staff member on the day shift replied seriously, "We counted the drugs and germs at the end of our shift yesterday and they weren't missing."
As he said this, several more voices came out from the side, "Yes, I can testify to that, I was counting along with them."
"I'm on the side too ..."
...
Several people said the same thing.
In that case, it should not have been a mistake by the day shift staff either.
But this is undoubtedly the worst news of all, either an insider did it, or an outsider did?
At the thought of this possibility, John was so angry that he violently slammed the teacup on the table, his face turning from red to green to blue to white. Annoyed, he shouted angrily at the group of them, "Do you know how much time and effort it took to develop that tube of germs?!"
