Conan

I wake up in a field of flowers. Atleast I think so untill I suddenly remember her and the way I put her in bed. I look up to notice that I'm in bed, in my wolf form. Dammit, he must have swifted in my sleep. I look around and see that she is gone. Then I hear the screaming at the door. Someone is talking to me through mindlink at the same time.

'Get your ass up.' I hear Duncan, my beta say.

I howl and get up. She is gone, where has she gone? I put my nose in the air to replace her. I need to replace her and explain. My guess is that she doesn't remember much, because she passed out. My wolf jumps forward in anger at the thought of the guy.

Must protect her.

I hear Duncan screaming from downstairs. 'Alpha, don't tell me you have female company now.'

I send him a mind link back. Leave, I will replace you. And have some fucking respect for your Alpha'.

I charge up and for a moment doubt if I should stay in my wolf form or not. Clearly she has already seen me, but she probably doesn't know a human is hidden in this. I decide to stay a wolf. I make my way into the hallway, anxiety hitting me. What if she's gone? What if she thinks I kidnapped her or did to her what that guy was planning to do.

I sniff her out and realise she has gone through the window in the poolroom. Her scent is still fresh. I stop to listen to the surrounders outside. I hear a ragged heartbeat.

It is her. She is alright. The voice says.

Dammit, he shouldn't get so fond of her. I charge through the house to get out in the back. I see her running into the woods. If I wasn't a wolf the woods would be an excellent plan. Little survivor. I run past her into the woods and change back to my human form. I grab a pair of clothes I have spread all over the sideline of the woods and get dressed quickly. I can hear her coming so I hide myself between a tree. When I see her coming I step behind from it at the same time she looks over her shoulder. 'Love is weakness' my father says. His voice catches me off guard so much I don't see her run into me untill I get hit hard, right in my chest. For a second I can't breath. I look down at her on the ground and hear her struggles to breath. She looks up at me and frowns her eyebrows. Then she passes out, for the freaking second time in 2 days. This was getting annoying. For a moment I try to decide once again what to do. In the far distance I hear a truck stopping. Great, Duncan is back. I roughly lift the girl up and start walking towards the house.

Be careful with her. You hurt her.

I growl at my wolf. He really shouldn't get fond of her. She is leaving today. Right after I make sure she is well fed and okay. Just because that's the decent thing to do. For no further reason at all. My wolf smirks at me.

Duncan sees me approach and I can feel his concern when he sees me holding the girl. I roll my eyes in frustration. Now I have to explain this to him too. She is a pain in the ass. My wolf growls at me.

She is an angel.

I sigh, this is going to be a hard battle. When I get up the house I send Duncan an Alpha glare. One he understands all too well and has gotten often. He needs to remain silent. Eventhough Duncan has his heart on his tongue, he does do as I'm told. He knows I'm his Alpha and often respects that. However we are brothers too, so sometimes he does speak at me in a brotherly way. As where I have grown up to take the position as Alpha when I was young, Duncan got stuck. After everything that happend I swear he vowed to himself to never grow up. I don't blame him, but it would get on my nerves sometimes. Well, a lot of times. Kicking open my front door I walk inside with Duncan silently following me. I throw, yes throw the girl on my couch which makes my wolf growl at me. I pace back and forth wondering what to do next. She ran, she ran hard into the woods because she was scared. She probably has the craziest ideas for what she is here for. Duncan taps his feet impatiently, waiting for me to give him permission to speak. I look up at him. The moment I do I regret it.

'Who is she? How did she come here? Where did you replace her? Did she try to run? Is she hurt? Who is she?!' He asks without taking a single breath.

I look up to the sky and pray to remain my patience.

'I don't know. I saved her from a rapist but she was drugged so I brought her here so she could heal. I found her in town and yes she tried to run, because she probably doesn't remember me. She passed out last night and now again when she ran into me. I don't think she is hurt, maybe a headache.' I answer him.

I leave out the part of being mated to her. I don't want him to get the wrong ideas.

'I'm your Beta. I can sense you are not telling me everything. This is her, right? Your mate? You would never just take a stranger here into your house. Especially not a human.' He says back in a stern voice.

Eventhough he asked me, I know he knows for sure. For the millionth time since last night I think about what to do. I don't want a Luna. I didn't even bother looking for her. Some of the packmembers disagree, Duncan being one of them but besides him nobody tried to go against my wish.

'Yes, she is. But it doesn't matter. When she is awake I will tell her what happend and bring her back home.' I say in a stern voice, my dominance rolling off me.

Duncan looks at me with doubts in his eyes. I can feel he strongly disagrees, but like the good boy he is he keeps his mouth shut.

She's awake.

I look down at her and see that she keeps her eyes shut, but I hear her holding her breath. She is awake. I send a mind link to Ducan to have him call a doctor. He turns around and walks away. As soon as the doctor clears her she can finally get going. I don't need her.
