Love Never Regrets By Roana Cyrus -
Chapter 28
Chapter 28: It’s Hard for You to Remember
In a daze, Serena thought that their compatibility was so high that they could always enjoy themselves together. Perhaps this was also the reason why Penn liked to come to her, efficient and safe.
After they finished, Penn leaned down as usual and kissed her deeply for a while before letting her go, like a gentle boyfriend.
“Are you hungry? I’ll cook something.” he asked.
“Yes, I am,” she replied.
Did he have a thing for cooking?
Penn chuckled softly and tousled her hair before getting up.
To be honest, Serena always felt great about this aspect. Besides the process that made her blush and her heart race, there was also the warmth at the end, which made her feel really heartened.
After the intense workout just now, Serena was really tired and hungry, and she didn’t want to move at all. It wasn’t until the smell of food wafted from the kitchen that she put on her home clothes and went to the dining room.
Penn had already prepared three dishes and one soup, and they were all delicious. He didn’t say anything and served the soup and rice in front of her. Serena didn’t hesitate and ate them in small bites. It was really delicious.
She hadn’t eaten home–cooked meals in years. She couldn’t cook, and Blair couldn’t cook either. They usually relied on fast food takeout, and

their sense of taste was almost gone. For her, eating was just a way to sustain life. Having a home–cooked meal at was send girls to learn culinary arts, but she had never heard of boys being sent to learn it.
“No. I studied abroad before and couldn’t adapt to foreign food, so I started cooking by myself. Over time, I became skilled at it.” he replied casually.
“Oh, did you go abroad right after graduating from high school? I remember you were doing well in Boston High School back then.” Perhaps because she was relaxed, Serena talked more than usual. Actually, she didn’t remember whether his grades were good or not, because she really hadn’t paid attention to him back then.
“It’s hard for you to remember that I also graduated from Boston High School.” Penn’s words sounded like he was mocking her? With so many classmates at Boston High School, wasn’t it normal for her not to remember him?
“Of course! I remember, you were the toast of Boston High School.” That was what Jenny had told her, and there was always nothing wrong with saying that.
Penn grunted, clearly not believing her what she said.
Serena was in a good mood today, so she didn’t bother and continued chit chating.
“So, you made a habit of doing housework abroad? Now are you enjoy doing housework?” She remembered that he would clean her house, would wash the dirty clothes, would take out the garbage, would wash the dishes, and cleaned the kitchen as well. Thinking about it this way, she had to admit that this man was excellent and his future girlfriend would be very happy.
“Serena, no one likes to do housework.” He denied.

“Then, you’ve worked hard.” Serena buried her head in her soup.
After finishing the meal, he cleaned up the dishes on the table. Serena was too embarrassed to continue being a hands–off and grabbed the help. But Penn refused.
“Stay there, you don’t have to do anything.”
When he said that, Serena was happy to relax. She settled down on the couch in the living room and watched TV. Her TV only played one channel all year round, the legal section. Her life was very boring, she was not interested in playing games. Other than Whatsapp, she only watched the legal sections of TV drama and movies.
When Penn came over, she sank into the sofa with a blanket on, showing only one head, looked at him and said, “Lock the door for me on your way out.”
This was her way of kicking him out, with no intention of keeping him, which was unprecedented the last time he spent the night here.
Penn had no intention of leaving, but sat down next to her, took the blanket into his arms, and whispered in her ear.
“Use it up and throw it away?”
“???”
Penn lifted the blanket off of her and dominated half of it over himself, wrapping his arms around her under the blanket as usual.
“What are you watching?”
Today’s legal program was about a dog–and–pony show about a mistress with an illegitimate child who grabbed her property.
Serena watched attentively. When she saw that the law ruled that the

illegitimate child inherited half of the family fortune, she turned pale, frowned lightly, and was vicariously angry.
Penn laughed: “You’re a lawyer, and you’re still so emotional? Legally, illegitimate children are supposed to be first in line of succession.”
Serena stood up grumpily and said to Penn, “Who are you? It’s not your job to tell me what the law says.” She thought she must have had a scary look on her face, showing her teeth and biting people like a madman.
Penn’s smile froze and he frowned imperceptibly, and without saying anything, lifted the blanket and got up.
“Get some rest.” And left her house.
Serena’s emotions came unexpectedly, and she couldn’t control herself. She went to the fridge to get a beer, but found that the beer she had put there before had been thrown away by Penn. She didn’t want to stay by herself, so she sent a message to Blair, asking her to go out for a drink.
Blair quickly replied: “Baby, I’ll be right there.
Blair lived nearby, but she arrived in 10 minutes, followed by the convenience store clerk. The clerk held a case of beer, with a few boxes of goods on top.
“Just leave it at the door, thank you.”
Blair came over in the midnight, she was only in the pyjamas with a coat. At Serena’s house, Blair took the coat off, her pyjamas was same as Serena. They looked at each other and smiled.
Serena’s clothes from the inside to the outside was done by Blair last time. But now, without Blair, Blair disliked Serena dressed too modestly.

At this time, seeing the red dots on Serena’s chest, her gossipy heart suddenly came up. She was looked like Sherlock Holmes, looked around Serena’s house, and finally said with certainty, “A man came to the house and just left!”
Serena was shocked.
“How do you know?”
“The sixth sense of an emotional blogger.”
Serena admired.
Blair also did not investigate deeply into who the man was. According to her theory, as long as the man was unmarried and the woman was not married, there was no ethics involved, no morality involved. In a safe situation, they could enjoy the love of men and women, this was normal. Just as having meal, who would care about who the cook was? Under her subtle influence, Serena had also accepted this theory. It would have been better if the other wasn’t Penn.
A whole case of beer, Blair drank a few bottles, Serena did not finish one. But, the mood had been completely good, with a little bit of alcohol, and soon she fell asleep smoothly.
The next day, she found both of them were sleeping on the couch in the living room. Serena habitually took her phone to see what time it was and found a few messages from Jenny.
