As they rode the horse to the third nursery, Anastasia observed the small buildings being built, each with two apartments. Her arrival to the pack as well as the annual celebrations meant that more people migrated into this pack, choosing to live here instead.

The pack was always keen on having new members so small houses were built and sold off to them. The houses were basic but had everything necessary in them, the residents could expand their house or move into somewhere else when they gained

the money.

There was an entry process to get into the pack which was mainly checking that there were jobs that the person could get and if they were a threat, as well as documentation written for them. It usually took two days to process. Anastasia skipped it entirely because she was discovered to be their mate way before she even thought about joining. The last nursery they went to needed new fireplaces and some roof repairs.

Anastasia was so excited to start getting reparations done. Watching some people living in temporary tents in the distance made her think about what she overheard.

Anastasia bit her lip as she asked Julia, "Are people envious of me?" Julia slowed down her horse a little so that they were riding side by side. "I wouldn't say so, well I'm not anyway.

I like being plain and not having constant attention to me. But I think other people are because of how blessed you are, good mates, good living, everything."

"Do you think people are vengeful?"

Anastasia didn't feel comfortable with showing her hair out in public at all, her pretty face was enough for her to be recognized, but her hair just bought too much attention.

A daisy in the middle of bark. "Not," Julia denied. "Anyone would be jealous of someone living a good lifestyle, but they have no reason to revolt. A lot of people join our packs from other packs just like you because of how better it is.

The living here is more than satisfactory so no one acts on their selfishness because there is hardly anyone who wants change." That made Anastasia feel so proud of the pack and her mates.

The society that they had helped maintain was fairer than most, with all sub-genders getting the same opportunities even if most stuck to their stereotypes. "Hello," Anastasia looked up from the flower crown she was making to see Minister Atlas.

"Hello," she replied, squinting up at the elderly man. It was difficult to see him with the placement of the sun.

'I was hoping you would do the council a favor," the minister carried on.

Anastasia stopped her movements. "Oh, is it for the pack?" She had yet to do anything significant for the pack, there was nothing he wanted more to contribute.

Everyone was so lovely to her and she wanted to do so much to help out. "Yes,"

"Okay, what is it?" She was eager, writing to be asked to help out with something big. "I need you to be present for the meeting today," he said.

Anastasia squinted at her a little more, expecting to be told something else. "Anything else?" "And to sit with Logan." Anastasia was confused.

"Is that all?" That was such a simple request. She usually sat in the meetings anyway, getting to know how they ran.

Why was this her big role? She felt undermined and a little upset at the lack of complexity of the task. She was still new to the pack but was hoping to do something worthwhile regardless.

Earning large leadership roles took years and Anastasia had got a huge role within days, but nothing exceptionally helpful to do.

She was impatient. "There is something we were hoping you would help happen," Minister Atlas carried on. "It will all be explained during the meeting but it would be a huge help if you helped convince Logan to do something."

"Okay, I will try," Anastasia finished off. The Minister bowed slightly in respect and turned away, leaving the omega alone again. "The Lee pack as you all know are one of our greatest allies and share a border with us," Minister Kim spoke. Anastasia nodded along, they were the pack that supplied the alcohol, the same alcohol that Anastasia spilled over herself.

It was a powerful pack, nowhere at their level, but had an inner conflict with them over personal issues from years ago.

Things sometimes got tense. "The leader's son, Hawk, found it insulting how despite having found your long-awaited mate, you held no party to celebrate it or invite them to greet this mate. They expect this because of our close relations."

"We sent out a letter to every pack near and far, letting them know of Anastasia's arrival and our wish to keep our relationship private until everything is settled. They were aware of that and had no reason to be upset. We didn't exclude them from anything," Leo said sternly.

"That is true and we have already written them a letter stating that. However, there has been a surge in the rogue population near their south borders, and wish for you to assist them in it. As of two days ago, two villages were attacked."

"I'll send my men over immediately then," Logan dismissed. It was then that Anastasia realized something was up. The ministers were all looking at each other nervously.

"the issue is, they want you to personally go as well. Leader Lee will be there with his son and wanted to treat it as the hunting trip you had postponed for over 3 months. They replace it upsetting that you have discarded such an invitation and want you to go with them for it."

Logan's brows furrowed and his jaw twitched. "The danger level is minimum," Minister Atlas butted in. "It doesn't make sense why you would need to be there for such a simple task, but it is more about keeping the alliance secure than anything else. It's a five-day trip in total."

"I'm not going," the alpha said with finality to his voice. Leo didn't say anything, just nodded in response.

The ministers all turned to the omega, sitting on Logan's lap whilst holding his tensed- up hand.

As Anastasia looked around at the ministers, she realized just how much power she had. Sure the twins were the leaders of the pack, but she was their mate, they're equal.

They had spent a dizzying amount of time searching for her and as a result, became completely obsessed with anything and everything about her, even before they met She had the power to easily sway their opinion.
