Chapter 29

Anastasia sat on the bench in the gardens and stared into the distance crying softly. The view of the flowers and ponds was so serene, creating the perfect backdrop for the omega to gaze at whilst she drowned in her thoughts. Her bump size was slowly increasing and made her more emotional along with it.

Her biggest blessing was the lack of vomiting and nausea, she stopped after the first week. Maybe the moon had blessed her with good fertility.

She heard Logan approach, having just come from his duties like normal before the hasty steps were descending towards her and the alpha kneeled in front of her.

The alpha had barely glanced at her before he had sensed her somber mood, not enough sadness in her body to be felt through the bond, but enough to be visible on her features.

"Who hurt you?" The alpha growled as he bared his teeth at Anastasia, hand on his cheek to wipe away a tear.

"No one," Anastasia smiled at the alpha, endeared by his actions. "I was thinking about my big brother. The one I told you about, he protected me all these years and told me he'd come back when I presented to take me away. He must be out there looking for me. I miss him."

"Oh," the alpha nibbled his lips, trying to think of a solution for his mate. He had heard so much about her brother, he wanted to meet him himself and thank the man for his care for their mate. "Do you know what pack he went to?"

Anastasia shook her head, eyes trained back onto the distance. She heard the sound of drums in the distance, the noise being carried by the wind into their garden. Her brother always used to play the drums, having a love for music as big as his love for his baby sister. "I was hoping that he may pass here one day as most packs do."

The alpha nodded silently, wishing that there was a way to replace the man. He also wanted to meet the alpha who took such care of their omega, he knew how important he was.

"I hear three heartbeats," Leo stated, pressing his face against her stomach. They were laying in the nest with the alpha on top of him, his legs to the side so as not to crush Anastasia with his weight, but his whole upper body leaning against her.

Anastasia gently brushed the alpha's hair with his hands, admiring the silliness as he stared down at his mate.

He stayed there for a while, listening closely."You are bigger than most omegas at one month, I think we are having triplets."

"Three?" Anastasia exclaimed. She had felt three heartbeats a couple of days ago but wasn't sure so she waited until it was obvious.

The sound was too minuscule at this stage to be noticeable. Her mates and hers were way louder than the ones inside of her, so she wasn't able to tell. Alphas were more in tune with their omegas when they were pregnant, and could sense these things easier. Leo Confirmed her suspicions.

"Logan?," she called out for the other alpha, who came towards her from the other room immediately.

"Yes, my love?" He asked softly, sensing the atmosphere.

"Can you hear three heartbeats?" Logan looked at him weirdly for a second before kneeling to press his ear against her stomach, Leo Moving out of the way to give him

room.

Anastasia latched her free hand onto Logan's hair, feeling the coarseness of it as she waited. The alpha listened from different angles, examining her more, his face pinched into deep concentration as he observed her stomach, thoroughly checking her.

They stayed silent whilst the alpha listened, he had the best hearing out of all of them. After a while, he lifted his head.

"Yes," he said but was frowning, not his usual growth though, this was the one he had when he was upset. Anastasia 's heart dropped completely, their bond felt odd on his side too.

All she wanted was to satisfy her mates as they did for her, she could not stand the thought of them being unhappy with what she had to offer.

"Aren't you happy?” Her voice wobbled, tears springing to her eyes from sensitivity. Three pups seemed perfect, one for each of them. It was a rarity and a blessing in itself, how could the alpha not like that? Logan looked up and he backtracked immediately.

"No, baby, never. I'm just scared. You heard what happened to our mother, three is unheard of. I'm so scared, for you and the pups," the alpha reassured, cupping her face, Leo rubbed her back from where he was. The omega's tears dried up, feeling huge relief inside of her.

"I'm not worried though," Anastasia stated, cheering up immediately. Her mates had been cautious around her the whole month, checking up on her all the time. The anticipation of finally getting a pup as well as their mother's death made them cautious.

She understood it fully, but still needed to reassure them that she was fine. "I only puked a little bit and nothing hurts that much AND I'm carrying three pups. Other omegas at my stage struggle. Look how big I am already, I thought I was just gaining a lot of weight but it's because I have two extra surprises on the way, I'm so happy."

"But you will be so big," Leo whispers, A large hand on her belly, Logan puts his hand next to his brothers as well. Their expressions were soft and loving but also scared. "How will you carry that, you are so tiny."

Anastasia pouted, she knew she was tiny compared to them but for an omega, she was taller than most. "By then I'll probably just sleep all day, any way I have you two, you can just carry me everywhere."

Leo bit her ear teasingly, pressing a kiss to her jaw. "What are you talking about? We already do that, you spoiled omega."

"Only because I have the best mates," she giggled at the kiss both alphas were now pressing on her face.
