Chapter 38

It took another hour before they got to the final stages.

All that was left was to push for half an hour. Leo was next to the beta healer, in between her legs as Anastasia rested on Logan's chest.

The omega was pushing and pushing as hard as she could to try to get the pup out.

With every push, Logan was scenting her for comfort, to provide her with energy to continue what she was doing.

With one final push, she managed to pop the pup out completely.

A girl. Leo grabbed her wailing frame and placed her on his chest, holding her firmly against him until her cries ceased, recognizing one of her parents.

Anastasia smiled at the sight, the bright blue pup being placed on her chest right after. She felt so slimy against her bare arms, but that was the last thing she cared about.

Aurora, they had decided the name for a girl long ago.

Leo smiled down at her. Logan was in tears as he stared at the tiny figure over his shoulder.

Anastasia felt a new kind of love bloom through her bond, love for their pup.

The combination of all the hormones still surging through her body, the relief of having them both go safely, and finally seeing one of her pups made her burst out crying.

Leo was holding back his tears as he sat back a bit and breathed out deeply, head thrown back whilst he took a second to calm himself.

Logan tightened his hold against his omega, burying his head against her shoulders as he wept openly.

It wasn't long before the contractions started again for the placenta. Leo took the pup from her to clean and dress as the other alpha helped them through it.

The pain wasn't nearly as bad as she thought it would be after the first pup had come out.(a/n this is fictional it hurts in real life).

The healer smiled at her as she cleaned her up, checking for any issues.

The contractions stopped and Logan was handed the pup, tears in his eyes as well. Leo replaced him and cuddled his omega, pressing kisses all over her face.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you," he chanted, voice wobbly. "You gave us the greatest gift in the world, and we still have two more to receive. I love you." Logan handed over the pup to the healer for inspection, the girl making small noises as she got used to being out.

"You delivered the pup so well," she stated. "Four hours, wow. You're not bleeding too much either."

"That's good," Anastasia sighed and deflated. Her anxiety died down now that she knew everything was okay and fatigue overcame her.She did some final checks, making sure more contractions were not happening.

"Stay awake for a little longer. Let me know if anything happens at all."

"Let's go back," Logan cleared his throat, his voice still very wobbly from crying. His eyes were becoming red and puffy.

Leo picked up the pup and tucked her into his chest, humming softly whenever she made a noise.

Logan lifted Anastasia and gently carried her back to their room.

"That went way better than I thought," Leo muttered and turned around, glancing back at them. "No complications."

"Because we have the best omega," Logan replied.Anastasia smiled slightly but winced a little as the adrenaline from the day wore down, and only the discomfort was left.

She was comfortable in their nest, feeling sore and pained from birth. Her whole body ached, and she couldn't wait to take a bath later. Right now she needed to rest.

Leo settled behind her again, the pup back in his arms. Logan stood in front of her, admiring his pup. She smelt like milk and her mother, which the scent pups carry until they are around ten, and started developing their wolf scents and people started to know what they would present, as Anastasia had not gotten the chance to smell her before, but now it was the only thing she wanted to smell.

Anastasia removed her breast, seeing how the pup's mouth was open at the smell of milk, and positioned her so that she was feeding on her.

Logan took his arms to support the pup, giving Anastasia the ability to fully rest her back against him.

Both alphas were staring intently at her, admiring her features as she excitedly sucked.

Logan pressed kisses all over her tiny face, lips traveling down her body to her tiny hands and feet.

The love was still so strong in their bond that it gave Anastasia the energy to stay awake even longer.

She fell asleep with a tiny mouth still attached to her and woke up feeling even worse than before, causing him to groan a bit until she recognized that she was submerged in water.

Leo was gently cleaning her body with lukewarm water, removing all the various liquids that covered his skin after birth.

"I feel awful," she moaned, as Leo carefully wiped between her legs, touching her as lightly as possible to avoid aggravating his skin.

She panicked for a moment thinking about her newborn pup but remembered that Logan definitely was plastered to her side, not letting her out of his sight.

"Sleep," Leo stated as he gently lathered soap over her still very swollen stomach. The pups were not moving around at the moment, and Anastasia couldn't have been happier. The kicking on top of everything would cause her to go mad.

"We will take care of everything. Sleep darling." And just like that, she was out again. When Anastasia woke up, she was in even more pain. And her back hurt so badly.

She looked around with foggy eyesight and realized that it was afternoon.

She had slept for at least 14 hours.

"Ah," she winced as he moved a little. "What's wrong?" Logan's concerned face hovered over her immediately.

"My back,” she whimpered a little. The alpha didn't even hesitate to gently turn her to her side and massage her body.

Soft murmurs were heard in the distance as the pup made tiny noises whilst Leo played with her.

Anastasia couldn't see them from where she was but she wished she could.

"Leo?," she called out as Logan's hands moved to the biggest knots on her back.

She sighed a little whilst the other alpha came into view.

"Yeah."

"I want to see her," she demanded lightly.

She still hasn't got the chance to properly admire and scent her pup.

She was placed next to her seconds later. With her mind in a clearer state than it had

been before and after the birth, she was astounded by the sight of her.

She was just as small and as beautiful as the day before, but it felt different.

She was more attuned to her now, her omega alert for any signs of discomfort coming

from the pup, and ready to jump up the minute anything seemed even a little off.

Her tiny legs were kicking a little as she gazed up at Anastasia, her mother.

The omega could feel tears coming out just at the sight of her.

She simultaneously wanted to show her off to everyone in the world, but keep her far away from any possible danger.
