Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3431 Off to the Lab if He Can't Be Fixed
Watching Matthew reach for his other shoulder with his free hand, Reuben trembled uncontrollably in fright, his face full of desperate pleading.
"If begging worked, what would they need you for?" Matthew's hand gripped Reuben's other shoulder, applying just enough pressure.
Reuben's eyes rolled back as he passed out from the excruciating pain.
Matthew stood up and calmly addressed the Island Watch soldiers gathered nearby. "If any of you have objections or feel dissatisfied, come forward. If you defeat me, I'm yours to deal with. If not, go back where you came from." With a swift kick, Matthew sent Reuben's limp body flying toward the soldiers, who scrambled to catch him, their faces pale as they looked at the remaining squad captains for guidance.
After a tense moment, one of the captains gritted his teeth and ordered, "Retreat!"
The Island Watch, who had arrived with such bravado, now slunk away like defeated dogs.
Mack strode over to Matthew, grinning broadly. "Nice work, Matteo!"
"Thank you, Mr. Mack," Matthew replied with a slight nod and a smile.
Mack's expression turned serious as he looked at Matthew and said, "You don't have to worry about a thing. Here, nobody cares about your past. You don't have to share anything you don't want to. We're all brothers here." Matthew's eyes flickered briefly, and he nodded in acknowledgment.
"D*mn, that bonfire party almost got ruined by those Island Watch punks!
"Alright, folks! Let's get the music going; get back to the food and drinks!"
Laughter and chatter filled the dock once more as everyone resumed the celebration.
Meanwhile, at the Island Watch headquarters, silence hung heavy in the air. Several squad captains knelt outside the Warden's office, silent, as Reuben lay unconscious on the floor.

"You worthless fools! You've dragged the Island Watch's name through the mud!" a cold voice rang out, making each man flinch.
"Yes, yes, we failed, Warden. Please forgive us," they muttered, groveling.
"Take Reuben to the infirmary. If they can patch him up, confine him for a month to reflect on his failures. But if he beyond help, then the Island Watch has no need for dead weight. After years of exploiting his position, it's time he paid his dues. Send him to the lab."
Cold sweat broke out on the backs of the kneeling men.
"Yes, warden. We'll follow your orders."
They quickly lifted Reuben's limp body and carried him toward the infirmary.
"One more thing-do not provoke that man again. Or deal with the consequences yourselves," the Warden's final command echoed as the lights in the room dimmed.
The captains exchanged glances,
shock in their eyes. Who was this
young man to warrant such a
command from the Warden
himself? Not daring to question further, they cast a pitiful look at the unconscious, pale Reuben
This time, it was truly up to fate. If he could be healed, he'd be spared. But if not, he'd be sent to the lab on the neighboring island, where terrifying experiments awaited.
It was common knowledge that in the lab, invasive experiments were par for the course, and Reuben might end up nothing more than a test subject.
