Chapter 1240 Tanya recovered her,composure and got out of bed. She explained, “Master John, | don’t know where Ms. Fowleris. | delivered dinner, and she knocked me out and even stripped my uniform.”

John glared at her before he strode out.“Lock down the place. Seal the main gate and every other possible exit. No one leaves the premises.”The bodyguards immediately ran out upon receiving the order.

John strode out of the building. His handsome face was clouded by a layer of darkness due to the dim environment. He was alsoenveloped in a terrifying aura.

Sherry actually tried to escape?!She tried to escape while he was here?!

At the same time, Sherry made her way to the main gate. She pocketed her hands and sauntered like a supermodel on a runwaywhile under disguise.

As Celine carefully followed her, she could not help but remind her that they were escaping, not going to a fashion show. “Canyou lay low?”

However, Sherry ignored her. Guests were heading towards the main gate as well. Julie was there sending the guests off with asmile.

Celine immediately stopped and said, “This is as far as | can send you. Ms. Julie is there sending the guests off. If she sees me,she will be suspicious , so you are on your own from here. The madam has prepared a car for you outside. Just turn right whenyou get out and you will see a black car with a number plate that starts with A. They will take you away.”

Sherry nodded and continued strutting to the gate.

The guests had just started leaving, so there were only a few groups at the gate, which allowed Julie to notice her.Nevertheless, Sherry ignored her and used two men as her cover while continuing forward.

It was then that the alarm went off.

The guests were startled and turned around to the source.

A bodyguard came running and shouted in a hurried tone, “Shut the gate! NOW!”

Sherry could not stay still anymore. She shoved the men away and ran towards the gate. The two men, including the runningbodyguard, were shocked.

The bodyguard pointed at Sherry and shouted, “STOP HER!”

Several bodyguards jumped out of the dark and chased after Sherry.Sherry ran out of the gate in the blink of an eye and headed to her right. She soon saw the car that Celine mentioned.

The bodyguards were closing up on her. One of the bodyguards almost caught her, but she kicked the guy off before jumpinginto the car. The driver was obviously prepared and was much more responsive than she anticipated. Before she could sit up,the car zoomed off, leaving the bodyguards in pursuit behind.

They soon joined the traffic on the road.

However, the bodyguards were persistent as they chased her in multiple cars. Sherry looked through the rearview mirror. “Theyare catching up with us! Hurry!” “Hmph.” The driver scoffed and accelerated.

Sherry felt like she was sitting in a plane instead of an escaping car. Startled, she glanced at the driver.It was then that she noticed there was more than one

man in the car.
