Meanwhile, at a medieval-themed commercial street back at Glenchester, John was shuttling through the crown with Caprice.Aunt Wanda and two other bodyguards were following them.

The sky was dark, but Caprice still wanted to stroll around. Her big googly eyes moved rapidly and sized up everything in hersurroundings with utmost interest.

One of her hands clung to her father's neck while she held the pink—colored bread in her other. She got the

bread from the moment she arrived on the street and had been munching on it since. John held her single-handedly whilecarrying a bunch of pink and yellow toys in the other hand.

Suddenly, Caprice pointed at a shop selling antique souvenirs. An exquisite music box with beautiful carvings caught herattention. “Daddy, that...”

John brought her into the shop. Caprice was captivated by the shiny gemstones and meticulous carvings on the music box. Afterconfirming that she wanted the music box, John told the storekeeper to pack it. “I want this music box.”

The storekeeper packed it up immediately.

John added the nicely packed box to the plethora of toys that he had been holding. He looked around the souvenir shop andthen asked Caprice, “Is there anything else that catches your eye?”

Caprice stared at her father's hand that was holding a bunch of other toys. She shook her head and said, “I only like the box.”John smiled and carried her out of the shop.

Ashort stroll later, they finally left the commercial street. The driver also timely brought the car over.

John put all the toys he bought in the trunk and then

carried Caprice into the car. Aunt Wanda and the bodyguards entered together.

The driver asked, “Sir, where are we heading?”

John looked at Caprice. “Sweetie, where else do you want to go?”

When Caprice stared outside the window, John looked in the direction of her gaze and saw a boy of similar age to her. The boywas in his father's embrace and was chatting with his mother beside him.

It was heart-warming just looking at the family of three.

John's gaze shifted. He turned Caprice‘s face over and asked, “Caprice , Daddy‘s talking to you. Where else do you want togo?”

Caprice shook her head while she continued nipping on the bread in her hand.

John then said to the driver, “Let's go home.”

The driver nodded and started the car.

It was quiet along the way. Caprice nibbled on the bread like an ant. She had been out for the entire afternoon but was not tiredat all. Something was clearly going on in her little mind as she stared forward blankly.

John stared at her in silence for a while before he pulled his phone out.

In the past two years, he texted Sherry every once in a while but had not gotten a single reply from her.

He tapped on the camera and snapped a picture of her working slowly on the bread from the side.

He set it as his wallpaper and then sent the picture to Sherry, including via all of her social media accounts.

This would be the first time he was sending a picture of Caprice to her. Should she have a conscience, she would not stay silentthis time.
