Chapter 1466

Chapter 1466

Meanwhile, at a fine dining restaurant, Caprice sat on the child seat by the window, her small hand holding a spoon and slowlyeating her meal.

John sat beside her, having just finished eating, and put down his cutlery. The little girl had only eaten half of her meal. She would most likely take another half hour to finish.

He leaned back in his chair and picked up his phone. His fingers subconsciously clicked on Sherry’s social media, only to seethat the post from this morning was gone.

The screen was blank.Did she delete her photo?

John’s expression sank for a moment, then he smiled again. Her honey trap had succeeded, so she stopped showing the pictureto him.

The next day, at 3 p.m., Sherry finished a meeting and her day's work. She was mulling over the reason she could use to look forCaprice when she suddenly received a

message from John.

He sent a voice message. “I’ve read the letter of intent.

Come see me now. | want to talk to you face to face.”

Sherry’s expression lit up, and she immediately replied, ”

Okay, I'll come over now.”

The hotel was not far from Stockton Tower.

Ten minutes later, she arrived.

She walked straight into the lobby, passed by the reception desk, and said, “Hello, my name is SherryFowler. I’m here to see Master Stockton for a meeting. He

told me to come over.”

The staff smiled back at her. “Hello, Ms. Fowler. | know you. Peter informed us that you'll be coming over.”Sherry smiled. “Then, I'll go straight upstairs.”

After saying that, she headed toward the elevator.

The staff hurriedly called out to her, “Ms. Fowler, Master Stockton wants you to wait for him in the conferenceroom on the third floor. Please come this way with me.”

Sherry frowned. “He wants me to go to the conference

room?”

The staff smiled and said, “Yes.” He then walked out of

his workstation and stood in front of her.

Sherry held her breath and followed him to the

conference room.

After waiting for almost half an hour, footsteps came from outside the door.

Peter pushed the door open, and John’s slender and straight figure walked in with him.

Sherry looked behind him.

John sat down opposite her and asked with a smile, ‘ What are you looking at, Ms. Fowler?”

(

Sherry was somewhat upset and asked bluntly, “Where’s Caprice?”

John maintained his smile. “We're going to be talking

about business. It’s not convenient for her to be here.”

Sherry frowned. “You're doing this on purpose.

It was impossible that he did not know that she wanted to

see Caprice.John raised his brows. “What are you talking about?”

Then, he leaned lazily on the chair and looked at her, asking, “Does Sager Corporation not want to cooperate with meanymore?”

Sherry held back her anger as she looked at him. “What

did you want to talk to me about, Master Stockton? Is

there anything about the letter of intent that you're not satisfied with?”

He continued to lean languidly on the seat. “I can see your sincerity, but there are indeed some changes thatneed to be made.”

Sherry quickly asked, “What changes?”

John picked up a teacup and took a sip of tea, appearing incredibly leisurely and carefree.

After putting down the teacup, he took the letter of intent and slowly flipped it over like he was admiring a piece of art.Sherry was speechless.

Awave of irritation surged to the top of her head, and she growled, “Can you hurry up?”

John looked at her. “Is that the attitude Sager

Corporation should show when asking others for a partnership?”

Sherry rolled her eyes at him. “If you really want to collaborate with Sager Corporation, then please hurry up. If you don’t want tocollaborate, return the letter of intent to me!”

Sager Corporation and Stockton Tower’s collaboration was bound to be a strong alliance. It would be a win-win situation for bothparties.
