The night was quiet.

The man and woman lay together intimately in the dark room.

Sherry suddenly stopped struggling and her body started to lose strength. Shewanted to lie on top of him, but he suddenly let go of her.

Her sanity immediately pulled her back from her pleasure, and she quickly moved away from him. Her face blushed as sheglared at him with teary eyes.

However, in the man’s eyes, she was like a beautiful flower covered in morning dew, looking charming and pitiful.

He gulped nervously. He pursed his lips and stroked her face softly and said, “Why are you looking at me like that? Do you wantme to kiss you again?”

Sherry’s eyes flickered nervously. She tapped his hand and crawled back to her spot, burying herself under the blanket andturning her back on him.

John smiled as he lay back down.

The room returned to silence, but the two of them could not fall asleep.

Sherry frowned as her heart continued pounding.

John curled his lips in delight as if he was a mastermind whose plan had succeeded.

Sherry only fell asleep after midnight, and when she opened her eyes the next day, the sun was already hanging high in the sky.It was 10 o'clock already, but fortunately, she had no plans for the day.

She rubbed her eyes before she had a glance around. She was alone in the room.

Had John taken Caprice to his office again?

She picked up her phone to call him, but then a tiny figure popped her head over the door and looked at her.The little girl cried, “Daddy, Mommy's awake!”

Sherry’s eyes gleamed. She got out of bed and strode to her daughter.

John came in from behind Caprice. Unlike his usual formal wear, he had a gray casual sweater on, which maintained his usualelegance and politeness, but made

him look kinder than usual even more so when he smiled at her.His smile reminded Sherry of the kiss last night and she blushed. She asked, “Why are you still here? Shouldn't you be at work?”John said, “There’s nothing important at work that needs my attention today, so | plan to bring Caprice out. Are you coming?”

Sherry averted his gaze and looked at Caprice.

The girl looked at her with pouty lips and her expression spelled out her desire to go.

Sherry said without a second thought, “Yes!”

“Then, hurry up and clean up.” John even patted her head when he said that.

Sherry glared at him, but he smiled at her bewitchingly. Her eyes flickered before she strode into the bathroom to get prepared.After cleaning up, she changed into some warm clothes and carried Caprice out of the room.

John was beside her when they headed out.

Aunt Wanda and Jason were behind them, carrying the things that Caprice might need.

Coincidentally, they ran into Madam Stockton and Queenie on the way out.

Madam Stockton learned that John might not be going to the office today, so she came over to visit them. When they came out,Madam Stockton’s gaze shifted and carefully sized them out.

Queenie was much bolder. She said, “Bro, Sherry, are you guys bringing Caprice out?” John hummed a reply.
