Jason then pulled his phone out and tapped on the video he got from the bodyguard assigned to follow Sherry. He handed Johnthe phone.

John took it and watched with his brows furrowed.

Jason added, “When our men found them, one of them was taking videos of you and Ms. Fowler. They only stopped when youand Ms. Fowler separated.”

The video clearly showed the group watching him and Sherry and one of them was clearly taking videos of him interacting withSherry and Caprice.

The video of the group was taken from a distance, hence their blurry faces, but it was enough for John to recognize them.

The men were Aiden and Caden, the first and second sons of the Sagers. The woman in the glamorous dress might be thefather’s niece, Ada, who had been living with them and had a crush on Carl.

They were having dinner at the restaurant when Sherry embarrassed them at the table. They must have found out when Sherrycame down to see him and Caprice.

His gaze shifted after the video ended, and it put a grin on his face.Jason was baffled by his expression. “Sir, why are you smiling?”He was followed and taken video of, so how could he still smile?“It's nothing.”

Jason put away his curiosity and asked, “They have hired more men to follow you and Ms. Fowler. | believe there’s a car on ourtail now. Do we need to act?”

John gave the phone back and leaned back comfortably. He said with a smile, “No need to act now. Just pretend that they arenot here.”

Jason was more confused than before, but judging from the evil grin on his boss’s face, there should be nothing to worry about.

It was like the wolf replaceing out that it was followed by a bunch of rabbits. Not only did it not act immediately, but it also seemed tohave a plan to lure the rabbits to its den.

Jason’s eyes flickered and no longer asked any more questions.

Sherry had a good night’s sleep. She could have gone on if the alarm did not wake her.

It was a Saturday, which she usually spent at work, but with Caprice around, she just wanted to stay at home with her.The girl was still soundly asleep.

Sherry kissed the girl on her plump cheek and continued lying down beside her, watching her sleep quietly.

Then, her phone suddenly rang.

It was Lisa.

Afraid that the call would wake the girl, she got up and answered it outside the room.

As soon as she answered the phone, Lisa said, “Sherry, | have some friends who want to meet you. They are with me now. Youshould be free for the day, right? Come over rightnow.”

“Aunt Lisa, I’m actually busy for the day,” Sherry said.

“| know. | know. You want to settle the proposal back at the office, but there’s no rush. You can settle it on Monday. My friendshave wanted to meet you for a long time now. Get ready and come over here. We are waiting for you.”

Lisa hung up on her before she could say a word, leaving her speechless.

She put her phone away and returned to the bedroom.

Caprice had already woken up and she was sitting on the bed with a blurry look. Her googly eyes were sizing up the room.When the girl saw her mother, she squealed, “Mommy...”

Sherry went over to the girl who crawled into her arms and leaned on her chest.

Sherry felt an immediate warmth in her heart. “Caprice, don’t be scared. This is Mommy's place.”

The girl was obviously afraid of an unfamiliar environment. She nodded and hummed a reply. She then said, “Mommy, | want topee.”

Sherry chuckled and brought the girl to the bathroom.

She brought Caprice home in a rush, thus she did not have time to prepare the necessities for the girl. Sherry wiped the girl’sface and hands, combed her hair, and put some fresh clothes on her before bringing her out.

“Mommy, where’s Daddy?” the girl asked.Sherry patted the girl’s head. “Hold on.”

While Caprice nodded adorably, Sherry headed to the door and opened it.
