Sherry tried to help him up, but he lost all his strength to the stab. His weight and physique overpowered her, dragging her downto the ground despite mustering all her strength to hold him up.

The stench of blood entered her nose. She tapped on his shoulder to nudge him, but as soon as she lifted her hand, her palmwas blood-stained. His back was drenched in his own blood.

Her hand shook.

Sherry looked at John. His face was bleached white and his half-closed eyes were glued to herSherry’s lips trembled out of fear “John? John? JOHN!? Hang in there!”

She pulled her phone out to call the ambulance.

Ada, who was kicked to the ground by Carl, was apprehended by the security guards.

Carl swiftly made a call and ran over to Sherry. He looked at Sherry and her blood-stained hand. “Sis, don’t worry, I’ve called anambulance. Help is arriving.”

Sherry then looked at John. “Did you hear that? Help is coming! Hold on! Hang in there!”John’s lips moved, seemingly spelling the word ‘alright”

Sherry pursed her lips. Her tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably. She resented the man. She resented him forimprisoning her, bullying her, starving her, and almost killing her!

However, when she saw him being stabbed because of her and dying in his own puddle of blood, her heart tighteneduncontrollably. The heart-wrenching scene was too much for her to handle. Her lips. pursed, her teeth gritted and she held hishand tightly until the ambulance’s siren entered her ears.

The paramedics came down swiftly to attend to John’s injuries.Sherry regained her composure and stepped aside.

One of the paramedics said, “There’s a stab to the chest, possibly harming the heart. We need to bring him to the hospitalimmediately.”

The paramedics then carried John into the ambulance.

Sherry followed the paramedics to the ambulance, and Carl followed her.

One of the security guards thought Carl was leaving, so he immediately asked, “Sir, what should we do about Ms. Wright?”Disgusted, Carl bellowed, “Turn her into the police immediately.”

Ada’s face turned pale. Her body was shaking because she did not expect to stab John.

Carl's words pulled her back from her shock. She shouted at Carl, “Carl, | did this for you! Sherry is a shameless bitch! She’strying to deceive you and her ex-husband! She’s a cheap-”

Things went silent Not only the bystanders and the other employees were stunned, even Carl and the paramedics werespeechless

Sherry kicked Ada in the belly and shouted, “Ada Wright, if anything happens to John, I'll make sure you suffer for it!”

If it was not for the ambulance leaving, Sherry would have beaten Ada to death Sherry then went back to the ambulance.“Who are you to the patient?” the paramedic asked

Sherry said, “I'm his wife ”

The paramedic allowed her to follow them. The door closed and the ambulance sprinted off to the hospital he parking lot was leftwith a puddle of blood and a bunch of petrified bystanders.

Cart watched as the ambulance left his sight. His brows furrowed in silence for a while
