If only there were a grinning competition held all day long in Jakarta, Nathan would have to sign up as the main participant. Why, you ask?

Since last night, right after he made sure Tasya entered his house safely. He even waited until she was truly in her room; it's like a Korean drama, right? The lover waits until the window is opened from the second floor. Waving affectionately while wishing her a good night, sweet dreams, and not forgetting to dream about her partner lovingly. Well... that's what Nathan did to Tasya.

Really. In all his thirty-five years of life, he had never done something like this. But because of Tasya, it didn't matter at all, and he didn't mind. In fact, he felt like Nathan's gaze didn't want to leave the tightly closed window. A sign that the girl chose to rest as she had mentioned since earlier.

And he carried that happiness into the next morning. Ignoring the questions from his mother and letting Alexa make jokes about the joy that surrounded him. Breakfast this time was filled with various guesses from the two of them: what was happening with Nathan?

Did Nathan respond?

Impossible. He intentionally made the two middle-aged women curious. He asked Naina to hurry up with her breakfast so he could get to the office soon.

"What's going on?" Naina asked, puzzled. It was strange because this morning, Nathan took her to school. Plus, his behavior seemed suspicious. His smile... it wouldn't disappear even for a moment. "Daddy is acting really weird." "Weird how?" Nathan smirked. "Don't you like it when Daddy takes you to school?"

"It's not that I don't like it, but Daddy taking me to school is not usual. So it makes me feel weird. Usually, I'm accompanied everywhere by Mr. Jack."

Nathan disregarded Naina's protest. His mood was at its highest point, and he didn't want to be disturbed by the words of the child sitting beside him. Nathan knew that Naina's eyes were narrowing with suspicion. Did Naina not know that Nathan was happy right now? "We're making a quick stop."

Naina's brow furrowed further. "Where to?"

"To buy chocolate."

"For who?" Naina grew more suspicious.

"It's for someone," Nathan said with a mischievous wink.

"Not for Aunt Mirah, is it? Or that Aunt Unicorn?"

Nathan burst into laughter wholeheartedly.

"Meeting at Le Meridien, scratched that. Changed to Sahid. At two with Greenland. But ask to reschedule for Thursday, same time and place." Tasya reads her schedule once again. "In two days, meeting Nadine at Amaris, it's a closed meeting." She also notes down the most important part.

Her schedule filled with scribbles never leaves her side. Her hands move skillfully to input all the changes. If there's any doubt, she listens to the recorded information from Nathan. "Tasya," Nathan calls, making her look up.

"Yeah, sir?"

"Can you meet Nadine now?"

Oh God, why does Nathan like changing his schedule so much? They were supposed to meet Nadine in two days because Nathan had some unexpected business. Tasya had a hard time adjusting it because Nadine wasn't easy to meet due to her busy schedule as a hotel manager.

"I need to confirm with her first, sir." There are two rules when working as Nathan's assistant: don't show irritation when Nathan arbitrarily changes his schedule, and keep up with Nathan's working pace if you don't want to hear him be even more talkative than the mothers at the market haggling over prices.

Being Nathan's assistant had taught Tasya to be patient like the ocean.

"I'll wait." Nathan pulls out a chair and settles comfortably, propping up one leg. He quickly takes out his phone and starts browsing to pass the time. Lunchtime is approaching, and Nathan intends to invite Nadine to Amaris for lunch. Meanwhile, Tasya swiftly contacts the relevant parties and conveys the changes. In her heart, she's grumbling about dealing with the unchanging ways of Boss Raptor. But when she looks at the chocolate box that Nathan brought this morning, her smile starts to return.

She hasn't forgotten Nathan's words this morning.

"For you, to keep you energized at work. Don't eat them all. Well... it's not a problem if you do, let the chocolate fat stick to your body."

Tasya looks back and forth between the box that Nathan just placed on the table and the boss's smiling face. "Naina really loves this chocolate, sir." "Yes."

"I haven't given it to Naina yet."

"Not yet," Nathan grins slightly. "She asked for a different one."

"Do you leave together?"

"Yes. She said her PR is top-notch. She's so confident, she wants to show it off to her teacher."

"That's great," Tasya smiles broadly.

"If there's any homework, she wants you to help. Are you okay with that?"

Tasya laughs. "Until now? Didn't my help ever show?"

No. Tasya doesn't really fancy the chocolate she just received. But the moment of buying the chocolate had a sense of familiarity. Her mind was filled with Naina's and Nathan's smiles as they chatted and competed in the car. It must have been so much fun.

"Done?" Nathan's question brings her back to reality.

She blinks slowly before refocusing on her gadget. "Yes, sir. Ms. Nadine can be met this afternoon. I'll prepare the files first."

"Don't take too long."

Tasya immediately looks at Nathan in disbelief. "I just got the news. I can't prepare and go right away, can I, sir?" Unable to contain herself any longer, she mutters in annoyance. Nathan responds with a chuckle.

"Don't be slow, Snail. We have a lot of work."

"Yes, Raptor. I already know we have a lot; you should be helping instead of making it harder!"

Nadine was feeling quite anxious about this meeting. Even though she was the one who initiated the conversation, she didn't expect any threats, right? She was terrified, really. But she couldn't just stay silent. She needed to live and work. That's what made her back down from revealing what had been hidden for so long.

Even though she wasn't the one responsible, she knew there was a major deviation within Optima that was supported by Faldom a few years ago. The data she had could incriminate many parties. That's why she chose to step back, not wanting anything to happen to her life. She thought that after all these years, she could free herself from the guilt she felt.

It was that guilt that had led her to meet Nathan Sinclair a while ago and tell him what had really happened. Unfortunately, she forgot that this project was undoubtedly orchestrated by many influential figures with vested interests. "I'm finally able to meet with Mrs. Nadine." Nathan shook hands with the woman who seemed to be smiling thinly while scanning her surroundings nervously. Meeting various people had taught Nathan the meaning of business associates' glances, including now. "Please relax, ma'am. I assure you we can talk here safely."

Unconsciously, Nadine let out a sigh of relief. They were sitting in a room intentionally made as private as possible. Tasya had arranged it to ensure there were no disturbances, including the presence of other visitors.

"I hope I'm not diminishing my good intentions at the beginning," Nadine smiled thinly.

"No, not at all." Nathan laughed. "Shall we have lunch first? Or get straight to the heart of the matter?"

"Whatever you prefer, Mr. Nathan. I'm not bothered. I have plenty of time for this afternoon."

Nathan nodded in understanding while glancing at Tasya, who was setting up her laptop and the reports they had collected to discuss with Nadine. Most of it they already knew the answers to, but there were a few things Nathan couldn't just take Nadine's word for.

"My schedule isn't too packed this afternoon either. Just checking a lot of reports, and I've seen some of them," Tasya said, but her words came to a halt as she caught Nathan studying Nadine. Intently and with great interest. Oh God, why did she agree to Nathan's request so foolishly, where he would prove himself changed?

What's changing when he's already looking at the woman so intensely? Tasya guessed that he could now determine the bra size and clothing size Nadine wore. She couldn't deny that Nadine was an attractive woman. But this was a meeting, right?

Why does Nathan always seize opportunities, though?

"What are you looking at, Tasya?" Nathan asked, but his eyes didn't shift at all. They remained focused on Nadine. No, Nathan wasn't in the middle of researching his role as a hunter. But there was something that made him make a decision, where both sides would surely benefit.

Nadine... a woman who didn't want to fall behind in fashion. Nathan could see that clearly. Even her nails were well-groomed, and her makeup was done by a professional. Nathan couldn't deny that the job of a hotel manager demanded style. And this was what gave him the idea. Because from their first meeting, Nadine was uncomfortable meeting outside. Only after Nathan made sure this place was very private did Nadine let down her guard.

"Most of its already done," Tasya said, sighing in annoyance, really. Knowing that Nathan had a penchant for mischief, she placed her agenda somewhat roughly. Since Tasya suddenly became the center of attention, she immediately put on a fake smile. "Shall I call the waiter? We can order food while we chat?"
