Nathan's journey to Tasya's house this afternoon is accompanied by a lot of whistling. Besides having finished his work at the office, he has also sorted things out with Bonnie. Why postpone matters with Unicorn Worm for too long? It's not good for his relationship with Tasya, right?

Besides, can Nathan really be easily deceived? It's not easy to play Nathan, especially when it comes to women.

He's an explorer. He has met many, from the ordinary to the extraordinary, in terms of relationships between men and women. No, it's not just about the bedroom and moans. It's the personal character that Nathan has learned about during his travels, enjoying the beauty of the world. It's not just about having fun. Meeting people from all over the world has made him realize that humans are fundamentally good but can be shaped into something bad and cunning by circumstances. Just like Bonnie. Nathan analyzes what the woman really wants. A woman who usually deals with many men wouldn't so easily claim she's pregnant, complete with a fabricated doctor's report and sweet words declaring love. Nathan isn't easily fooled.

He exposes all her pretenses without beating around the bush. The woman's face turns even paler when she admits her involvement with Farhan, especially after Nathan's serious threat. She's been stirred up. Don't blame Nathan because he won't hesitate to show his fangs. Especially when he's struggling with Tasya.

Ugh!

There isn't much work to be done at the office, and most divisions can operate smoothly without his direct attention. So, when the workday ends, he rushes home. He responds with a laugh to Leo's question about why he's leaving the office early.

He says, "Going to visit my girlfriend's house."

Nathan's car had already entered Tasya's residential complex. He was getting ready to unbuckle his seatbelt, but that motion suddenly came to a halt. His eyes caught a clear view of a stranger standing next to Tasya. "Who's that?" Nathan wonders.

In all the time he's known Tasya, there has never been a man near her. Well... how could Tasya replace time to date when most of her days are spent with Nathan? They often work together, sometimes attend business parties on weekends, and go on holidays together, often with Naina as well.

So... it's natural for Nathan to wear an expression of curiosity and suspicion. He quickly exits the car and approaches them, walking confidently without letting his guard down, especially towards the man who's now looking at him. There seems to be a conversation happening between them. What could it be?

"Can I come over again?" the man asks hopefully.

"There's no need for anything else, Res," Tasya replies firmly. Meeting Tasya right now is a stroke of luck that Respati has been waiting for for years. "We can talk a lot about your mother's condition, right?" Respati doesn't mind if he's seen as taking advantage of the situation. Opportunities like this rarely come twice, right?

"We can discuss it at the hospital," Tasya says, realizing Nathan's arrival. His sedan is parked in its usual spot, and he's starting to approach. Tasya's gaze shifts away from Respati to the man walking towards her. "Are you home already?" "Looks like it, huh?" Nathan laughs, reaching out to gently stroke Tasya's head. If the girl scolds him, it's fine. The important thing is that in front of this unknown man, Nathan has to show his ownership. If this approach doesn't make the man leave, Nathan also doesn't hesitate to plant a sweet kiss on Tasya's lips.

"You're not working late for once." Despite her annoyance at her messed-up hair thanks to Nathan, Tasya still wears her wide smile. "Someone promised me dinner."

"When?" Tasya is surprised.

"Not that young, don't pretend to be forgetful, Mama Raptor." Since the man isn't moving away, Nathan is forced to use his final move. As he closes the gap between them, he intentionally gives Tasya a quick peck on the cheek. "Who is he, Tasya?"

Respati, who has been watching their interaction the whole time, can only stand there in silence. His mind is filled with questions and judgments about the man who is now so close to Tasya. From their gestures, it doesn't seem like they're acting. The man, still wearing a black blazer even though his shirt is a bit disheveled, radiates love and affection.

Just like Tasya, who returns his gaze with the same look.

The gaze that he used to enjoy when he wore his gray-white uniform. He found it endearing because Tasya rarely looked at him, often focusing on books and her stories.

"Oh, he's the doctor who's taking care of Mama in the hospital, Nathan. Let me introduce you, his name is Dr. Respati."

Out of politeness, Nathan extends his hand. It's warmly received, complete with a wide smile, a friendly tone, and the demeanor of a doctor used to dealing with patients; he has his own charisma. But unfortunately, Nathan isn't a fool easily fooled by fake smiles.

"Respati."

"Nathan." Nathan responds warmly to all of that. "Nice to meet the doctor who's handling Mama Abigail," he adds, still wearing his trademark smile. "I hope we can trust the doctor to provide the best for Mama Abigail. I'm sure of it." "Thank you for your trust."

The handshake ends just like that. Nathan takes the opportunity to give Tasya a hug. Well... even though her eyes are glaring, she doesn't pinch his waist or push him away. It means Tasya also enjoys their closeness, right?

"What's Mama cooking? Naina's been here since earlier? Did Mr. Jack tell me she's causing trouble?"

Tasya just rolls her eyes in annoyance. "You two are alike. Equally annoying, right? Do I have to make a comparison?"

"Oh my God! Your lips are so cruel."

The girl with bangs smirks.

"I have to head home, Tasya." Respati tries not to show his displeasure. His heart burns with frustration from their interaction. He hasn't had enough time to talk to Tasya.

Ah... Tasya rarely talks. She only speaks when necessary. Since lunch, Tasya has been busy taking care of a girl who gave her disapproving glances. Later, there will be another chance to be with Tasya. Many questions are swirling in his mind, and he needs answers. During lunch, despite being busy with work, his eyes never left Tasya. Also, the little girl who didn't hesitate to show her displeasure.

Is Tasya really married?

"I'll keep you updated on your mother's progress," the man says with a smile, quickly brushing off his thoughts. He doesn't want all the questions in his mind to be evident on his forehead. "Thank you." That's all Tasya says.

"Sometime... Can we talk again? Casually? Without interruptions?" It's up to the man next to Tasya to bare his fangs. It's okay. Just consider that he's crossing a lot of boundaries because of Tasya. Respati has never, in all his years, stepped out of his comfort zone. The zone where he carries himself as a warm and courteous doctor towards patients and their families, with his own manners and friendliness. Unfortunately, this time, Respati wants more.

"Without interruptions?" This time, Nathan speaks up. "Unfortunately, my wife needs special permission to have a casual conversation with someone else. The permission is clearly from me, her husband."

***

"Who is he?" This isn't the first or second time Nathan has asked. He doesn't get tired of it even though Tasya has asked him to sit down. Being followed by Nathan is annoying. Unfortunately, Nathan doesn't want to give up. He just has to replace out who Respati is.

"Later, Nathan." Tasya stops in her tracks. "I'm busy." She tightly grips the folder in her hand. She intends to throw it at Nathan but can't bring herself to do it. The man's face looks undeniably tired. She also knows that Nathan has a lot of meetings and piled-up reports to work on.

"It's better to sit and keep Naina company, Nathan," Tasya says through clenched teeth. "So that dinner will be ready soon. Robin and Ronan will be home in a bit."

"Robin usually comes home this late?" Nathan better put on an innocent face.

Honestly, Nathan is jealous. Especially since a man named Respati seems to pretend not to notice Nathan's presence in front of him. Is Nathan not big enough to be seen? Even though he's positioned himself very closely to Tasya. And still, the man doesn't give up!

There must be something going on between them that Nathan doesn't know about. Especially the situation between them is driving Nathan's heart crazy. Respati is the doctor handling Tasya's mother. Should Abigail be transferred to another hospital? There must be many other psychiatric doctors. Instead, he's always worried about Tasya. His head is already filled with strange thoughts. Especially Respati's words were so blatant. Can they talk casually? Like a date? Not happening! Throughout his time with Tasya, they have never been alone in a proper and appropriate way. Why would they let someone else take precedence? It's impossible!

"It shouldn't have happened." Tasya paused for a moment with Nathan's recent question. "I forgot to check my phone since earlier."

"Yeah, right," Nathan sneers. "Busy with Respati, huh?"

"Nathan," Tasya immediately warns Nathan. "I'll explain who Respati is later. It's better if you sit down calmly. Let me cook while I check on Robin."

Just as Tasya is about to continue her activities, a knocking sound and shouts followed by cheerful laughter greet Tasya. Her two siblings enter simultaneously. "Tasya!" Robin's voice dominates immediately.

"Where did you come from?" Tasya asks with a puzzled look. Her gaze is not directed at Robin but at Ronan, who has been smiling since he came in.

"I took him to the café where I work, sis. Luckily, there weren't many customers, and the boss didn't mind."

"Why did you take him?"

"Well... Robin was curious about what I do at the café, sis. Plus, he's well-behaved and not annoying. He was doing his homework." Ronan approaches Tasya. "Don't be mad, okay?"

"You made me worried."

"I sent a message to you, sis. You didn't reply. I figured you were busy," Ronan says with a smirk while giving Nathan a glance. When his eyes land on the girl in the living room, Ronan furrows his brow. "Who's that, sis?"

"Oh, that's Naina. Mr. Nathan's daughter." Tasya intended to be angry, but Ronan's gaze turned the situation around. She didn't want Ronan to think she was too busy taking care of someone else rather than checking her phone for her two siblings. "Go take a shower first. You'll meet her later. I'll continue cooking."

"Dinner together?" Robin asks with joy.

"Yeah." Tasya, relieved by Robin's presence, gently rubs her little brother's head. "Go take a shower, okay? I'll prepare dinner."

"Okay."

Tasya's smile then turns to Ronan. "Don't you want to greet Mr. Nathan first?"

Ronan finally eases the tension on his face. He's already grateful that his sister is willing to smile. Besides, he doesn't mind having another family member. It could even be fun. Especially last night, Ronan realized that they hadn't finished solving the problem for some unknown reason.

So... Ronan reaches out to Nathan and shakes his hand with respect.

Hoping in his heart that the man who is now patting his shoulder and asking about his work genuinely cares for his sister. If he ever makes his sister sad, he won't hesitate to hit him. Although their body sizes are quite different, that doesn't matter. Winning or losing doesn't matter; what's important is his sister's dignity.

That's Ronan's promise.
