Vivianna smiled and held him in her arms. Thinking that's a Saturday, she could finally have a good rest. She planned to stay with her son the whole day. She remembered there was a forest next to the villa, so she could take Zeph there for a walk. "Brush your teeth! Mommy will keep you company at home all day today."

"Really?"

"Yes, why don't we go for a jog in the woods later?"

"Okay!" Zeph was excited.

When she was abroad, Vivianna used to take Zeph to jog in the park on her day off. After returning to her home country, she hadn't not had much fun with her son.

They went downstairs after getting changed. It was still quite early, Vivianna took Zeph into the forest to get some fresh air. It was a small hill not far away from the city centre. It had been protected primitively well. That mountain must have belonged to Augustine as well.

As no one would dare climb the mountain. It was clean and the air was fresh. It was definitely a good place to exercise in the morning.

Vivianna was with Zeph. The pleasure was something that people wouldn't understand. It was the bond of a mother and son. Zeph's dependence on his mother and love toward his mother was incomparable. After Augustine got up, he went to knock on Vivianna's door but no one answered. He opened it straight away. As soon as he opened the door, Vivianna and Zeph were not inside.

His heart sank and he became nervous. Could it be that Vivianna had left with his son?

Augustine went downstairs and saw his housekeeper, Damian, he asked, "Uncle Damian, where is Vivianna and Zeph?"

"Oh! Young master, don't worry. Miss Carlewood took the young master to the woods."

Augustine breathed a sigh of relief. He was wearing a grey T-shirt and leisure pants. He put on his shoes and strode out of the castle.

He looked around and intuitively turned left. He strode over with his slender legs and chased after Vivianna and Zeph.

Vivianna and Zeph weren't walking fast, so he managed to catch up in a short while.

"Daddy! Daddy is here!" Zeph saw Augustine first.

As soon as Vivianna turned, she saw a tall man walking down the mountain. She was slightly startled. 'Why is he here?' Augustine looked at the blushing little guy with a gentle smile and questioned, "Are you tired from climbing the mountain?" "No, I'm not!"

"Good! Come on, let's continue." After Augustine had finished speaking, he raised his eyes and met Vivianna's eyes. Vivianna frowned. Why did he interrupt her bonding session with Zeph?

Augustine took Zeph's hand and went ahead. Vivianna followed. Zeph kept looking back while they walked, "Mommy, come on!"

Vivianna understood Zeph's love for Augustine. Even though Augustine only met Zeph not long ago, they had a strong connection. It was because since Zeph knew that other people had a father, he had been fantasizing about having one. He had been eager to get all the love.

That was also because Vivianna didn't stop the relationship between her son and Augustine. As a mother, she couldn't be selfish. She had to provide him a healthy growing environment.

Vivianna was walking in distrait. She did not know that there was a ladder in front of her. She miscalculated and misstepped. She fell out of balance and fell on one knee toward the cemented ground. "Ouch..." Vivianna couldn't help but let out a low cry.

Then, Vivianna's knees buckled and landed on a sharp surface. She was only wearing shorts and sportswear and her snowy-white knees were gradually taunted with bruises and blood. "Mommy..." Zeph rushed down from the top.

Augustine also came down. Vivianna was in so much pain that she sat on the stone. Both of her knees were injured.

Zeph's eyes turned red and he cried, "Mommy, is it hurt?"

"No. It's just a small wound. I will go back and put on some medicine." Even though Vivianna was in great pain, she said it nonchalantly in front of Zeph.

As Augustine crouched down, Zeph pouted and reported to him, "Daddy, mommy is injured."

Augustine looked at Vivianna with his enigmatic eyes, "Why are you so careless?"

Vivianna felt a little guilty as she wasn't paying attention to the surroundings.

Augustine said to Zeph who was so anxious that his tears kept streaming down, "Zeph, can you go down the mountain by yourself?" "Alright!" He nodded.

"Okay, let's go!" After Augustine had finished speaking, he crouched down in front of Vivianna, "Hop on."

Vivianna looked at his broad back, her heart skipped a few beats. Was he going to carry her down the hill?

"Mommy, hop on! Let daddy carry you down the hill." Zeph said.

"It's okay. I can walk." Vivianna refused his kindness. He said that he was going to let Zeph stay in the palace on the previous day. She seemed to be inexplicably on guard against him.

When Vivianna was standing up

shakily, Augustine's two strong arms lifted her hips and carried her on his back. Vivianna was startled, she didn't have any choice but to hold his neck. Hence, she was forcefully carried by him.

"Augustine, put me down. I said that I could walk." Vivianna protested.

However, Augustine patted on his back twice, "Be a good girl."

Vivianna's face turned red right away. Zeph was walking ahead of them so he did not notice his mother's reaction.

Vivianna gave in. Augustine carried

her all the way down from the

mountain and returned to the castle Damian Ewing had already taken the medicine box out. Vivianna was sitting on the sofa with both knees coated in red ointment. Fortunately, the wound was not deep,

"Mommy, we're not going anywhere today. Let's play at home, okay?" Zeph felt sorry for his mommy, he didn't even want to go out and play anymore.

Vivianna was speechless as she hurt herself so early in the morning. She even made Zeph worry.

After a while, the servant had finished preparing breakfast. Vivianna enjoyed her breakfast with Zeph and Augustine.

When they were having breakfast, Augustine questioned her curiously, "What were you thinking when you were walking?"

"I wasn't thinking of anything." Vivianna mumbled in a muffled voice.

Obviously, Augustine did not believe her. The steps were so big and flat. It was impossible she would fall down, unless she wasn't paying attention.

After breakfast, Zeph refused to go upstairs to play. He sat beside Vivianna and stared at her wound, hoping it'd get better.

Augustine handed an iPad to each of

them, Vivianna gladly took it. Zeph

was singing a children song

whereas Vivianna was watching the

news Augustine went back to the

study room to continue with his work.

Vivianna asked Zeph to go upstairs to play after an hour as he was not allowed to watch it for too long.
