Mommy, My Daddy Is A Billionaire CEO -
Chapter 34
Debby resumed work that morning and while going through several paper works she had left unattended to, she listened to her colleagues as they engaged themselves in a discussion. It was centered on the on the new head of the computer department. Debby listened as they spoke good things about the new head of department; this made Debby curious to know who the new head of the computer department was.
She turned to ask one of her colleague discussing about the new head of the computer department. "Sorry to interrupt your discussion, but who is this new head of the computer department?" Curiosity was getting the best out of her.
"Oh! She is the C.E.O's girlfriend. They stepped into the office together today and have been the subject of discussion amongst all of us." Her colleague explained, leaving her in a state of surprise. Debby was curious to know what Edna was doing in the corporation. Before lunch, Debby got a certain file, which required the signature of the C.E.O and thus, she headed for Harry's office.
When she opened the door, she almost bumped into Edna, who also had a file in her hand. Debby was curious to know what Edna had come to do in the office.
"Good to see you are in one piece, dear sister." Edna commented and walked out, secretly fuming over the fact that Debby was the personal assistant to Harry.
Debby closed the door and moved over to Harry's desk. "This particular document needs your signature and also it requires that you review it as well." While Debby tried to be formal as possible, she noticed Harry staring at her.
In the mean time, Harry was simply thinking about his situation-ship with Debby. At first, he had wanted a divorce to happen, but seeing that Debby was the mother of his child, he wanted to keep Fred and let Debby go. Although he planned on paying her handsomely.
"I am going to have to let you go without your son." Harry announced all of a sudden to Debby, who stared at him with a confused face. "Seeing that you are the mother of my child, it is only proper that I compensate you for all the troubles you went through, in raising Fred by yourself. However, Fred will stay with me, while you go."
Debby stared at Harry in bewilderment for a moment. "Even if the whole world is offered to me, I would not leave my son alone." She said.
"I am not giving you a choice, woman, I am trying to let you know what is on my mind." Harry replied. "The reason I reached this decision, is because of Edna. She happens to be carrying my child"
Debby stood there, speechless about the revelation. She was sad about the fact that Edna was pregnant and it was obvious that nothing could be done about the situation. "You can divorce me, but the bottom line is, I am not leaving my son alone." She maintained her stand. "I won't let another woman raise my son while I'm alive.
Harry stretched forth his hand and got the documents then began to review it. "Later this evening, I want you to get all your luggage ready, you will be leaving the mansion. Either I throw you out of the house by force or you go in your own accord. Don't you think of playing a smart one. I want you fully out of my house and if possible out of the city. You can call my personal assistant whenever you need money and it will be provided for you." Harry finished signing the document and handed it over to Debby.
"I will rather die than leave my son in your care and move out of the mansion. If I am going to leave, I am going to leave with my son." Again, Debby took her stand on the subject matter and left.
She checked the watch to discover it was a couple of minutes before 3PM. She packed up some of the document she had left unattended to, and kept them in a private shelf then left the corporation to get her son. She didn't want Harry anywhere close to her son, which was why she had rushed to get him out of school.
"Mom, what is going on?" Fred asked as Debby took him out of the school premises hastily. The school was yet to close, but Debby needed to pull this act fast, before Harry would beat her to it.
"It is alright honey, all is fine." She said, stopping a taxi and informing the driver to move her to the nearest train station.
Although she didn't have enough money with her, all Debby was after, was getting her son out of Darkwood and out of arms reach from Harry.
When they arrived at the train station, Debby had no plan prior to leaving Darkwood and checked through the train station map for a nearest City and came to discover that EastHill was the only possible place she could flee with her son to.
When they bought their train ticket, Debby held on to her son and they moved into the train, which eventually kicked off after an hour.If you are not reading this novel on Ebookex.com know that some paragraphs are not complete. While the train was almost leaving the shores of Darkwood, the conductor announced to all passengers that there was a blockage, which had forced the train to stop.
Debby groaned in frustration as she was very anxious to leave Darkwood. While they all waited for the situation to be fixed, several black vans pulled up at each side of the train station, and everyone was in disarray as soldiers stepped down from the van. The soldiers informed everyone on the train to step out of the train. Debby was confused about what was happening. When she stepped out of the train, alongside other passengers, she noticed a familiar black mustang at miles away. When the doors of the van opened, Harry stepped out of the mustang graciously and his gaze immediately fell on Debby.
