Harry entered the Vernon's villa and was immediately welcomed by the butler.

The averagely old butler immediately lead him to sit, "I'll go to inform Master that you here." He lowered his head and quickly walked away.

Harry had received a call from his grandfather a few minutes ago telling him to come to his place. Actually, he also had something to tell his grandfather.

About a few seconds later, an old man was lead in to the living room, he was supporting himself with a rod and looked very weak.

After he had sat, Harry greeted him and asked, " grandpa, how is your health?"

"It would get better if you do the only thing I've been asking for," the man said and coughed, "Harry, it had been many years since your girlfriend died. For how long will you mourn her?"

Harry hated for his grandfather to talk on this subject, this is why he always try to avoid coming to his place.

"I found Broderick Alessandro's daughter," he immediately changed the subject to what he thinks was more important.

At the mention of Broderick Alessandro, the old man felt a sharp pain in his heart. That man, Broderick Alessandro, killed his son, his wife and two of his three children.

"Grandpa, don't worry, I'll cause her so much pain than her father had caused us," Harry said with so much determination. "I already have her in my custody."

"What's her name?" The old man, Lord Vernon asked.

"Debby," Harry responded. "Grandpa, please recover soon. I'll come to check on you often," Harry said, willing to leave. He didn't want to spend more time here so that his grandfather wouldnt talk about the subject of marriage again. "Harry!" The man called weakly, "you need to get married to another woman. I want to see you happy again before I leave this world." You won't leave this world so soon and who says I'm not happy? I'm very happy." " Harry faked a smile.

"You can decieve everyone but you can't deceive me, Lord Vernon brought out the drugs he takes daily from his pocket and threw it before him.

"I will stop taking drugs if you don't come with a woman in three days time. You know what will happen to me if I stop taking drugs, right?" Lord Vernon asked

Harry picked up the drug and immediately stood and went to sit beside his grandfather," grandpa, you can't do that, please."

The old man stood and said," you better do as I've said or it will be said that you were the reason why your grandfather died." The old man then walked inside.

Harry looked at the drugs in his hand and gritted his teeth.

"Why is it hard to remain single? I don't want any fucken woman around me!" he munbled angrily. He doesn't want to ever have anything to do with women again but his grandfather was now making things difficult for him.

As he walked out, he thought about how fast the health of his grandfather had been deteriorating. If he stopped taking drug for even one day, it would have a great effect on him. Some paragraphs are incomplete if you are not reading this novel on Ebookex.com. His grandfather was the only person he has left that could be regarded as a family plus the man has stood by him over the years ever since the death of his parents.

Debby sat alone in a room, she was already cursing her decision to come over to Darkwood. She had only want to come and resurrect her father's company, she didn't expect that she would fall into trouble with the most powerful family in Darkwood. Looking at the time on her phone, she realized she had already been locked here for three hours. She didn't know for how long she would remain here, she didn't want to call Sarah yet to inform her about the situation of things cause that would make her and her son troubled.

She was still hopeful that he may send her home, afterall, she was innocent of the pain her father caused him.

She remained seated on the bed in the room for another twenty minutes after which she heard some twists on the knob of the door.

Her heart skipped fearfully as she wondered if it was Harry who was about to appear.

Ther door opened in no time and Harry walked in, she immediately stood up and looked at him with a calm look. She didn't say any word except for staring at him frightenedly.

"Please let me go home to see my son," Debby, immediately pleaded.

She didn't know for how long he planned on keeping her here.

Harry smirked, "actually, you don't deserve to ever set your eyes on your son anymore."

"How long will you keep me here?" Debby pleaded helplessly. What she was most concerned about was her son. How would her son feel without seeing her this night? Without seeing her for days?

"...For as long as I remember how your father murdered my family in cold blood," he said and turned

Debby rushed towards him and he immediately turned, with tears on her face, she pleaded," my son will feel very bad this night if he didn't t' t see me. For the sake of my child, please let me go. Please!" Harry looked coldly at her and smirked, "I may kill your child if you don't move away from me."

Debby furrowed her brow in shock. She took steps back with tears falling off her face shamelessly.

"And don't even think that you will be served food nor water." He said aloofly, unbothered by the tears on her face. He then walked out and locked the door on her.

Debby felt absolutely hopeless and her sadness increased. She paced around the room with a throbbing heart. Tears never stopped streaming down her face.

She was particularly concerned about her son. If her son didn't see her for the rest of the day, he would be very worried. She had tried all her best to make her child happy always. She won't mind sacrificing her happiness as long as it will make her son happy. She still has phone in her hand. Should she call the cops? Calling the cops on a man like Henry Vernon is obviously a waste of time but could it help in some ways? She then unlocked her phone and when she was about to dial the cops's number, a thought dropped in her heart. What if he gets even angrier that she dared to call to police on him?

He could make life even more unbearable for her

But for how long will she keep serving a punishment of an offence her father commits. She sat after a couple of minutes and then placed a call across to Sarah.

Once she answered the call, Sarah lamented, "Ma, are you fine? You should have been back from work by now."

'That's right but something came up, I might not come home today,"

Debby sounded as calm as she could

"Ha! How about Fred? I doubt if he can sleep without you?"

Debby knew what Sarah said was true. She is always by her son's side whenever he sleeps and wakes. It had been like that from the day she gave birth to him but it seems this night would be a little different and it hurts her so much. "Try to pet her to sleep. Tell him mommy is fine and that I'll be back tomorrow evening, that is if I eventually didn't come home this night," Debby said, trying to be optimistic about the situation. Perhaps, he could release her tomorrow. "Alright, ma. I'll try my best," Sarah said after which Debby hung the call up.

Debby stood at once. She needs to get out of here. She won't let her son sleep alone without her, her son doesn't even have a father, she's the only person that her son has.

She looked around the room and her eyes soon sighted the window.

She turned back her head and walked to the door, she twisted the knob of the door but as expected, it was locked.

She left it and went to the window, she slide the glassy window to the right and peeped. The floor she was on was the second floor of the building. The distance from where she was to the floor was a little scary.

She might get injured if she try to jump off. But she can always treat any injury she sustains later on.

She then climbed the window, her heart palpitating in fear. What if she sustains a serious injury that lead her to been unconscious. She would be found and taken to that man, her later will then be worse than now.

But for the sake of her child, Debby concluded to jump. She jumped and fell to the floor. She had a cut in her leg as a result thereby causing blood to flow down her leg. Also, her feets hurt terribly. She wished she could sit and cry cause of the pain her leg is causing her but Henry Vernon's guard could replace her."

While struggling to walk away, she saw some of the guards at the main entrance of his villa. She turned back carefully and replace her way to the back gate. Still, the gate was heavily locked.

She arranged some kegs she saw on top eachother and climbed the big large fence that surrounded Henry Vernon's villa. At the end, she escaped.

Despite the intense pain she was feeling in her legs, she couldn't help but smile. She was glad in the hope that she would get to see her child that night and, particularly, sleep beside her son.

She soon replace a cab home. Once she stepped out of the cab, she ran speedily to her door and knocked while wincing in pain. She wants to see her son, that's what matters to her the most now. The door opened and at once, she attempted to rush inside the house to see her child and hug him but unexpectedly collided on a tall figure.
