After Jaylene landed, Keegan and Stella did not go far before coming to a stop.

Stella turned to say something to Keegan, but he ignored her and headed straight for Jaylene. She tightened the reins and dismounted the horse.

Jaylene had a minor scrape on her hand, but there were no significant injuries apart from that. Juno's speed had decreased significantly when Jaylene fell off, preventing substantial consequences.

However, Jaylene was still in shock. Stella had experienced the terror of being tossed around on horseback when she learned to ride, so she understood what Jaylene was feeling, Jaylene sat on the ground, red-eyed and on the verge of tears. Upon seeing Keegan, she felt even more distressed. At that moment, she could not help but call his name.

Keegan did not answer her. He squatted down, grabbed her hand, and softly said, "Try moving your limbs to see if they're alright."

Stella's face was tense, "Juno had already slowed down when she fell off from him. She's fine."

Jaylene leaned against Keegan and followed his instructions by moving her arms and legs. After confirming that she had not broken anything, Keegan asked, "Apart from your hand, do you feel pain in any other areas?"

Jaylene shook her head with reddened eyes. "Keegan, I was so scared," she said hoarsely.

"Come here. You're fine now," Keegan comforted her in a low voice.

Stella pursed her lips, suddenly feeling that her presence was unwanted.

She was about to turn and leave when Jaylene suddenly stopped her, "Stella, you clearly know how to tame Juno. Why did you lie? Were you deliberately deceiving me to get on the horse?" Stella looked coldly at her, "When have I told you that I couldn't tame Juno?"

Jaylene calmed down and recalled the conversation they had. Her tone became sharper, "You said that Juno only allowed Keegan and Grandma to touch it.

Doesn't that mean it won't let you touch it? Yet, it seems responsive to your voice. It's hard to believe it would deny your touch."

"You misunderstood me. When I said that, I meant that they're the only two people from the Kane family that Juno's okay with. I'm not a part of the Kane family." Jaylene could not believe her ears. Her expression turned ugly. "Are you playing games with me?"

Stella chuckled, "Jaylene, riding the horse was your own decision. I advised you many times, mentioning that Juno has a fierce personality and is not easy to control. Yet, you insisted on going against my advice. How could you say what happened to you is my fault? If I had known you would blame me, I wouldn't have saved you. Instead, I would've just let you fall to your death!"

Keegan frowned upon hearing that, "Enough! Stop being so harsh!"

"I will not stop!" Stella was furious. "Are you blind, Keegan? Why aren't you able to distinguish right from wrong?!

Jaylene wanted to show off in front of you, yet she ended up embarrassed, and now she wants to put the blame on me. Why the hell did I even save her?!"

Keegan's lips twitched, 'I didn't even accuse her for what happened just now.' Stella was too tired to deal with the two of them. The longer she looked at them, the more her anger grew. She left the stable without looking at Keegan's unpleasant expression.

"Keegan, it's all my fault. Stella is right. She advised me not to ride Juno, but I didn't listen to her. I didn't know what I was saying. Hurry up and go after Stella and apologize to her," said Jaylene. "Why should I apologize to her?" Keegan said unkindly. "She has such a bad temper. All I did was just tell her to stop being so harsh."

Jaylene lowered her gaze and said, "I think what I said just now must have angered her too."

Expressionless, Keegan said, "It has nothing to do with you. She always gets mad when she sees you. It's probably just her nature." Jaylene did not say anything else.

She and Keegan finally went back to the house after they treated her wound.
