Stella snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Wenham with a puzzled expression. "What's wrong, Dad?"

Wenham said, "When you smile like that, it reminds me of your mother when she was pregnant with you. She would smile at me like that whenever she got mad. Then, she'd make me tie a watermelon around my belly and do house chores while joking that I looked like a frog. I'm traumatized."

Stella was speechless.

Trevor laughed out loud. "It's because you teased her about having spots on her face. She wanted you to experience the feeling of pregnancy and being called unattractive."

Wenham got confused. "But I said that the spots were cute. I guess US men can never figure out what women think, huh?"

Stella imagined the scene of Wenham getting tortured by Freesia and could not help but laugh. 'It seems like I got my traits from my mom, huh?' In Vinci Rivera, Jaylene was speaking to the receptionist with a lot of things in her hands. She had not made an appointment, and the receptionist did not recognize her. So, they refused to let her in.

Her expression was extremely unpleasant. She said in a low voice, "Are you serious? Do you not know who I am?"

The receptionist handled it professionally. "Except for Mr. Kane's wife, anyone who wants to see Mr. Kane needs to make an appointment." Then, the receptionist picked up a poster of Stella on the table and compared it to Jaylene. "You don't look like her at all."

Jaylene got so angry that her face turned red. "Have you lost your mind?

Keegan divorced her a long time ago!" "Oh." The receptionist paused momentarily before asking again, "So, do you have an appointment?"

The conversation circled back to the beginning. Jaylene's expression darkened as she said, "Just wait!"

With that, she dialed Keegan's number again.

Keegan was sitting in a restaurant, watching his constantly buzzing phone.

He then glanced at Aldor and said, "You answer it."

Aldor joked, "I can't do that. Ms. Saun knows that I'm on Mrs. Kane's side.

It'll raise suspicion if I pick it up for you."

Keegan nodded. "You have a pretty clear understanding of yourself."

His response left Aldor utterly speechless.

"How long has she been there?"

After Jaylene stood in the lobby for an hour, her call finally went through.

She spoke in a coquettish tone, "Keegan, why did you only answer my call now?"

Then, she glanced at the receptionist and said arrogantly, "Aldor, come down and take me upstairs."
