Mr. Right, Spoil Me -
Chapter 123 Three full hours
"Old master Bask was worried that you new couple had some disagreement and wanted to come and have a look for himself. Now it appears that our worries were unnecessary."
After saying, John excused himself in embarrassment and apologetically.
After hearing these, Andrew looked at Andrew's grandfather and laughed, "Andrew's grandfather, I'll be honest with you. Indeed, something big had happened."
At this moment, all of them frowned and felt something was amiss.
Just now when they entered they saw that the two were looking at each other and there wasn't any loud yelling nor flailing of hands. They were affectionate towards each other, what could have happened? Andrew's grandfather calmed down and sighed deeply while standing in front of everybody.
"Andrew, out with it, what had happened."
From the looks of it, Andrew's grandfather's expression wasn't too good. He knew the big things from Andrew could be bad things.
The young man's eyebrow raised and with his hands in his pockets, he nodded at the woman on the bed and said, "I think you should ask her."
Thus, all eyes now turned to Sarah's face.
She knew that she would receive their attention and it was inevitable. She started to blush and pursed her lips and said shyly, "grandfather, you, you are going to become a Great Grandfather." Everyone was stunned for a second and Andrew's grandfather was even slower to react.
"Ah! The missus is pregnant!"
One servant screamed and shocked everyone to their senses.
"So, the 'something big' was the pregnancy!"
"No wonder, I was thinking, master and missus are so loving and just now they were talking to each other, how would there be any problems?."
"Looks like Master is really capable! They are only married for a few months and... Unless it's before..."
Sarah quickly explained, "No, it's just seven weeks. It was confirmed at S city."
"Let me have a look."
Andrew's grandfather's eyes immediately looked as if he spotted some treasure as he looked at Sarah and with the steward supporting him, he walked over excitedly. "it's just seven weeks, we have some time to go."
Sarah reiterated as she felt that everyone's attention was on her like she was going into labor now. She felt very pressurized by them.
"Is the child healthy? What did the doctor say? Shall we call..." Andrew's grandfather kept asking making Sarah uncomfortable. It's just a pregnancy, why get all so excited?
"The check-up was done just a few days ago. The doctor said that the baby is doing well. Andrew's grandfather, it's getting late, let's not call the doctor. I am due for another check-up in a few days. We can wait a few more days."
Sarah laughed.
Andrew's grandfather was smiling from ear to ear joyously.
He nodded in agreement, "Fine, up to you. I only want the child to be healthy and born without complications."
That last sentence...
Sarah felt emptiness and confused.
He probably felt that what he said was inappropriate, Andrew's grandfather clarified himself, "Once these nine months are over, you must be at ease and give birth to this child. The Basks will take good care of you. Sarah, from now on you must take care of your body and you must protect the baby."
She listened carefully and understood what he meant. She looked directly at Andrew's grandfather and both nodded.
She already thought about it. This was what she should do, wasn't it?
At night, Andrew's grandfather instructed the servants to prepare chicken soup and let her drink a few bowls before sleeping.
Sarah can't finish them. From the time she was pregnant, her appetite had been very poor. She felt that everything was tasteless.
She didn't think that the soup tasted nice, in fact, she felt that it had a strange taste.
Pinching her nose, she quickly said, "I won't drink, quick, you drink them."
She ordered Andrew who was sitting at the computer working. His fingers were typing nonstop on the keyboard late into the night. He was obviously very busy.
He saw her bringing over the three large bowls of chicken soup and he quickly turned off the computer.
The white and tender chicken looks appetizing.
"It tastes good, why don't you eat some?"
He felt that it tasted good.
"It's already so late and they are too oily." Sarah just gave an excuse, looking at him enjoying himself.
Seeing that she didn't want to drink and the thought of Andrew's grandfather getting angry if the soup wasn't finished, he drank all the soup and even ate the chicken which he didn't want to eat, "I'll eat!"
Sarah smiled and would rather he eat all of them.
Since her pregnancy was known to everyone in the Bask residence, Sarah was like a precious item wherever she went, everyone greeted her with respect.
She had a feeling of royalty, being greeted all the time.
"Andrew, I need to tell you something."
"Yes? Go ahead." He was looking at the computer and continued to type on the keyboard. He looked at her once and continued to work.
Ever since Sarah was pregnant, Andrew's grandfather asked Andrew to go less frequently to the office and spend more time with Sarah. Thus, Andrew brought his work home. Even for the usual meetings were done remotely online. Sarah was always by his side.
"Can you talk to grandfather and let him release me. I can't endure this much longer. I'm like a bird locked in a cage. I've been thinking that I want to go to the office. It's intolerable staying at home." She started to pout pitifully.
Sarah squat on the sofa with her body tucked on one side, revealing only her sad and helpless eyes.
At this moment, Andrew's hands stopped. His deep eyes locked and focused on her face as if he was disinterested in what she said.
"Why are you looking at me?"
"You feel bored?"
"Of course, I don't even have a phone. You confiscated my phone."
She thought about that night. Wait... Did she hang up the call?
Oh no!
She immediately asked him for her phone, "Quickly give it to me, I need to take a look."
Andrew saw her worried look and gave it to her.
"What's the rush? Just take your time."
Sarah didn't check on the call in front of him. She just looked at the call records.
Her pair of eyes looked at the call records... a call lasted three whole hours.
Oh no!
She looked at the duration and her heart sank.
When did she spend so much time on the phone with Matthew? How? Then isn't last night's issue...
Andrew looked at her turning pale and felt her head and then quickly asked, "What did you see? Why are you so flustered?"
"This.... It's.... the phone... the bill wasn't paid." Sarah called the service provider and tried to cover the incident.
