Mr. Right, Spoil Me
Chapter 164 Being Beaten Up To Death

It was very still on the plane, and only few people walked around.

The plane kept flying in the sky.

"Is there anything abnormal?"

The deep voice with worry sounded again.

"Mr. Scott, take it easy. Everything goes well."

Matthew Scott's subordinate answered delightedly. There was no signal of danger around them.

Definitely, they couldn't detect the signals so far away behind them.

Matthew breathed a sigh of relief. "Take her to me as soon as you arrive. Don't stay here for so long."

"Yes, Mr. Scott!"

The reply was decisive.

Matthew hung up the phone, and kept working on his computer.

Sarah Cox just sat by him.

She touched her belly unknowingly. She was going to get in touch with her baby for the first time.

Hope the situation will be good, she thought like this.

She had few morning sicknesses these days, and even her appetite was normal. How could a pregnant woman's life be such peaceful?

Even she would have thought she were not pregnant if she still had had no period.

Sarah sat on the sofa, and didn't know what she should do to kill time. Matthew was busy with his work. Great, he finally had no time to bother Sarah. Sarah quietly walked to the staircase, to replace some books in the bookshelf there.

She had no phone, no computer, and nothing else to kill time here.

"What's this?"

Sarah looked around casually, and found all of Matthew's books were boring.

Of course, all of those books were accordant to Matthew's taste.

Most of them were related to philosophy, and something abstruse. Even the name could prove its difficulties to understand its content.

Wait, there were some foreign languages books which had drawn Sarah's attention.

She recalled Matthew's abundant languages and fluent spoken ability. When did Matthew master so many foreign languages?

He even didn't study in junior high school, as she remembered.

Sarah also had felt pitiful for him about his lack of substance before, though he was good looking.

Matthew should have studied in high school when she was at university, but he refused, and preferred to be her bodyguard.

Sarah also had laughed at him that girls all liked knowledgeable boy, so he would suffer from loneliness all his life.

She even took Bruce Randall as an example, who was learned and smart, and overwhelmed Matthew in all respects except for handsome appearance. Bruce was Sarah's boyfriend at that time.

Those memories were as poisonous as the bane on the honey's surface, slowing invading into her body through her blood vessels.

Finally, Sarah selected a book, which she could keep a little interest in reading.

She had read the previous seasons at university, and she even hadn't expected that she would finish the last season here. "Eh... Can I hang around out of here?"

She wanted to sit on the swing in the yard, and played on it while reading.

Sarah stood in front of Matthew, and asked for his permission cautiously.

Matthew paused his action, and asked. "Which one have you picked?"

Sarah showed the book to him.

However, Matthew took out some books from the drawer of his desk, and handed them to Sarah. "You should read these books."

What?

Sarah got close to have a look, and then turned embarrassed.

Those books were all related to pregnancy!

Matthew even explained. "It fits your situation now."

Sarah compromised. Fine, she would read those books.

"I'm going to the yard, and won't leave far." She intentionally emphasized the last word.

"OK."

Finally, he didn't force her this time.

Sarah was pleased and hurriedly ran out.

The swing was in the yard, where she could enjoy the scenery on the island and the soft sunlight.

"Why did he buy this kind of book? Did he buy this for me?"

Sarah murmured as she opened the book.

At this time, two people passed by the gate.

"I just saw a dead man."

"Me too."

Sarah's attention had been drawn by them.

"How has that man been killed?"

"He has been beaten up to death."

"Oh, my god!"

"Keep calm!"

The two passed Sarah and made Sarah curious.

Who had been killed? Was there not safe?

She reached out her head to have a look. It was quiet outside, and it seemed to be no fighting there...

"This is one of the worst holidays!"

"Me too! We even saw the dead man!"

There were more complaints outside.

Sarah stared at them curiously. Why did they all complain about this?

Sarah was scared of the words they said to describe the dead, so she went back to the room.

Matthew was still busy, and didn't pause until he heard Sarah's footsteps.

Looking at her pale face, Matthew shut down the computer and walked to her. "What's wrong? You look pale."

Sarah sat on the sofa, and felt her heart shrinking. Why was she so scared of some words?

"I'm fine, and I just want to have a rest."

She even didn't want to read books anymore.

Matthew wondered why she became so scared after going out for minutes.

He went out to check, and then came back soon.

A flash of gloom appeared and disappeared in his eyes. He comforted Sarah. "It's okay. We're safe here. Don't listen to those rumors."

"I heard they kept saying there was a dead man, beaten up by someone to death. We're not safe, indeed."

She was frightened. It was too dangerous abroad.

She would feel safer at home.

Actually, no place was safer than home.

"Don't worry. I'm here."

Matthew embraced Sarah, and kept her in his arms. He put his head on her shoulder and smelt the fragrance of her body.

Sarah held her knees in her arms, and sat in a defensive posture. She just worried about her baby, and felt a strange unknown feeling of being scared.00
