Harmony ignored Catalina and left without so much as a glance. Catalina seethed with resentment. Harmony's lack of response told her that she and Ezekiel would never be a thing. Harmony never thought she would become an item with Ezekiel. She knew where she stood. So, she wouldn't ask for more. All she wanted was to grasp this short-lived happiness.

When Ezekiel made it back to the balcony, he didn't see Harmony anywhere. Meanwhile, Catalina had stayed behind. Her eyes shone with greed as she quickly said, "Mr. Weiss, hi. I'm Harmony's friend. Are you looking for her? She's gone to the bathroom. Why don't you wait for her here?"

"You're Miss Mayo's friend?" Ezekiel narrowed his eyes.

"Yep. We're both celebs, and we worked together before. It's great she met you. She just broke up with her boyfriend, and I was worried she might not get over him." Catalina sighed, hinting to Ezekiel that Harmony used to be in a relationship. I bet people like Ezekiel prefer innocent girls.

"I know she just broke up," said Ezekiel. He obviously didn't mind.

Catalina was shocked. Does he know her well? "Oh, I see. I thought you didn't know. She's a nice girl, but she has too many suitors," slandered Catalina.

"Is that so?" Ezekiel took a sip of his red wine. He was not surprised. There was something likable about Harmony. He couldn't deny that he was attracted to her as well.

"You don't mind?" Catalina asked curiously.

Ezekiel shook his head. "I don't."

"So, you're going to court her?" Catalina asked again. He wanted to know all about Ezekiel's thoughts on Harmony and replace out how far they would go.

Ezekiel hadn't thought that far. Courtship?

Harmony returned to the hall. She did go to the bathroom earlier. When she searched for Ezekiel, she saw him standing with Catalina. Her heart sank at the sight as she felt something inexplicable filling her soul. Nonetheless, she realized it was jealousy after musing it over.

When Ezekiel saw her, he went over to her. Harmony squashed that ugly emotion into a little ball as she smiled at him. "Done with your chat?"

"Yes. I met your friend," said Ezekiel.

Harmony was stunned, Catalina called herself my friend? And she talked to Ezekiel? Nothing good, I bet. "What did she tell you?" Harmony asked, smiling curiously.

"She said you just broke up with your boyfriend and need someone by your side, answered Ezekiel. He beamed. "Ah, she also told me you have a lot of suitors. Is that true?"

Harmony knew what Catalina told Ezekiel after hearing his words. There's no doubt she told him about the breakup. I can bet every dollar I own that she also said I have a lot of suitors just to make me look like a girl who goes around sleeping with a ton of guys. Ezekiel didn't fall for it, though. It's cute. "How lovely of her, but she's not my friend. She's the one who stole my ex," said Harmony, nipping Catalina's scheme in the bud.

Ezekiel was shocked. "Is that so?" He turned to Catalina again, his gaze colder and sharper.

Catalina almost choked on her wine as she sensed his gaze on her. What did she tell him to make him look at me in disgust? "Stay away from her. If she tries to hurt you, tell me. I'll make her pay." Ezekiel looked at Harmony. He sounded like he'd taken up the role of her guardian angel.

Harmony beamed. Nice assist, Catalina. "Thank you, Mr. Weiss." Harmony asked, "Do they serve a buffet here?" I'm hungry.

"They do. Right here." Ezekiel smiled and held Harmony's hand. Then, he promptly led her to the hall, where a buffet was served.
