My Baby’s Daddy novel (Anastasia) -
Chapter 2699
At this moment, a deep voice resonated, "You don't have to answer that."
The entire studio was shocked. Fans turned their heads with wide eyes. At the same time, Harmony was thrilled as she realized that Ezekiel actually came. He stepped onto the stage and ignored the gazes as he took Harmony's hand. "Let's go."
"Sir, this is a live interview! Leaving without permission is a breach of contract," the host hurriedly interjected.
Ezekiel glanced at the host coldly and said, "I will handle the rest."
Harmony didn't fully react to the situation, but he had already held her hand tightly. In front of the female host, the director, the fans, and nearly eighty million viewers nationwide, she was led out of the interview room by Ezekiel. As he led her down the corridor, Sera approached eagerly. She was grateful for his help but was still concerned since Harmony was a celebrity. Hence, this behavior wouldn't sit well with the TV station and would affect her career.
"You're here, Mr. Weiss, you're here. That's wonderful," Sera said.
"I'll take her away first. I'll handle any breach of contract issues," he said.
At that moment, the deputy director rushed over and blocked their way. "Please stop. The live broadcast has been interrupted, and we need an explanation to the audience. Please wait here for our instructions."
Harmony scolded, "Kent Donnor, why is the script different from what we discussed? Did you change the script?"
"We will investigate this matter, but your actions today have violated the terms of our contract, Miss Mayo. You may need to bear the responsibility of compensation." Kent snarled. After all, the views had almost reached ninety million, yet Harmony cut off such a high-profile broadcast. Thus, he was furious. Then, he turned his gaze to Ezekiel. "Who might you be, Sir? Why do you have the right to take away our guest without permission? You have no right to do this."
"He is my friend," she explained. Then, on second thought, she added, "He is my boyfriend. He has the right to do so. Please don't cause trouble for him."
"I don't care what kind of relationship you guys had, but you have violated our television station's rights. Hence, you must stay here and deal with this until we are all satisfied with the result.
Ezekiel's face already showed signs of annoyance. Then, he said sternly, "Step aside."
Kent was taken aback and looked at Ezekiel, who emitted an intimidating aura. At that moment, Kent felt a sense of trouble and wondered if Ezekiel was someone from a wealthy family.
"We're leaving," Ezekiel said as he dragged Harmony away. Regardless of the consequences or the amount of compensation, she was also willing to face it.
Ezekiel held her hand until they exited the building and arrived at the parking lot. After they got into the car, he let out a sigh of relief and leaned toward her. "Did I scare you?"
She pursed her red lips and shook her head with a smile. "No. What you did back then was cool. Thank you."
He smiled and reassured her. "Don't worry. I'll handle this matter."
"It was the television station that broke the agreement first. They played a dirty trick, giving me a completely different script than they used on stage. I will take legal action against them," Harmony said, not wanting to be treated like a pushover.
"Good! I'll provide you with a lawyer, and we'll make the television station publicly apologize to you in front of the entire people," Ezekiel declared, wanting to help her vent her frustration.
"How much does your lawyer charge?" she asked curiously.
