Bailey's pov

Katrina and I got into Stefan's car and we headed to the party, but weare surprised to have met Kaleb on the way. If I didn't know any better Iwould've said he was purposely driving slow so Stefan would catch up.When we got to the house, the party was already in full swing. Teenslittered the lawn, some dancing while others downed whatever liquidwere in the cups.

We stepped out of the car and Mira skipped over to Katrina and I,linking her arms with ours. " Ready to take the stench of hormonalteens?" her nose wiggled in distate.

Both Katrina and I gave her a side glare. " You're the one who forced usto tag along." Katrina pointed out, leading Mira to shrug.

We entered the house, wincing when the sound of the music blastingoff the walls made my ears ring. The boys were behind us but steppedahead as people who were obviously drunk and half drunk cheeredthem on.

Katrina, Mira and me curled closer to each other as we weave awayfrom the crowd. I felt out of place here.

" We should probably get ourselves some drinks?" Mira suggested, looking around for the kitchen area.

" No drinking remember?" I yelled, trying to get my voice to her over theblasting music.

" Kaleb, Ryan! " A guy leaning against the doorframe yelled, waving atthe boys to come over. Mira being the nosey sister she is, followed afterthe guys while dragging Katrina and me along with her.

Despite not wanting to be close to Kaleb....Mira was making this difficultfor me.

The first thing that caught my attention was the blonde girl lying acrossthe kitchen island on her back. Her top was lifted slightly just under herbreasts and her stomach was exposed.

She giggled as the guy who called Kaleb and the guys over pour someliquid in her belly button. The guy smirked at Kaleb and wiggled hisbrow. " This is your treat for tonight captain.”

My stomach dropped and all I wanted to do was barf.

When I thought it wouldn't get worse, it did. Juliet who had been trailingafter Kaleb like a lost puppy decided to yap out of her mouth. * The onlygirl Kaleb will do body shots on is me."

I didn't turn to look at Kaleb's reaction, nor did I care to....I didn't careright?

I needed a breather.

I untangle myself from Mira and brought my lips to her ear so I canutter. * I'm going to replace the bathroom okay?"

Before she can protest and tell me she will tag along, I rush away fromher like the fire of hell was nipping at my feet. I disappeared into thecrowd and made my way up the stairs, dodging a couple of clumsyteens.

She would have a hard time catching up to me if she followed after meas everyone were clamped together on the dance floor, making itdifficult for anyone to pass through without a struggle.

I made my way upstairs and decided to enter the first unlocked room. Ididn't need to pee so I didn't think it would be a good idea to hog up abathroom someone else needed desperately.

The room was empty and dark, but the sliding door leading to thebalcony was open. I sighed and sat down on the bed, trying to get mythoughts together.

I have changed since sleeping with Kaleb. I do not feel like myselfanymore. It feels like I am constantly on eggshells around both him andMira.

As the thoughts bound into my head, my phone buzzes in my bag. Itook it out and it's a message from Mira. She's asking why I left andshe's coming up to meet me.

I texted her quickly saying that I was okay and I would join them backsoon. It took a little longer to convince her and she finally agreed to notcome up to look for me.

I sighed and plopped on the bed, looking out the opened door. The coolbreeze flushed against my face and I cracked a smile.

At least this can cool me off.

I just need to stay here for a few minutes until I am sure Kaleb is donedoing body shots on girls.

Then I'd replace an excuse to leave...

Or maybe I should make an excuse now. Say I vomited and I feelincredibly sick?

Just as the thought came into my head, the door suddenly burst open.Startled I looked at the intruder, my heart skipping when I realized I hadnot locked the damn door.

How stupid can I be!?

I swallowed and scurried to my feet, ready to scream bloody murderwhen his voice reached my ears.

“I'm starting to think dark rooms are our thing, flower." The lock clicks inplace and my heart began to beat impossibly fast.
