My Daddy Wolf
Chapter 24

Alpha POV

Tory is not here. Bo and I have searched the house. We did replace a small amount of blood in the upstairs bedroom on the floor, and it looks like someone took some things from a closet. I need to replace her and Tee immediately. This cannot be happening to us. "We will replace her, Alpha," Bo says.

"We have to replace both of them. Any word on Tee's husband?" I ask Bo.

"No, he is on business out of town. I left a message on his phone. This is not something I want to send in a message," Bo says.

"Yeah, I know. Just tell him he needs to come home immediately," I say to Bo.

"Yes, Alpha. Everyone is waiting on you outside. There are a lot of wolves here to help. They all love Tee and Tory. We will replace both of them," Bo says.

Bo and I head back downstairs. I glance over at Tory's teacup. Fuck, I should have made her damn tea. Why did I leave Tee unprotected with Alan still here? I have made too many mistakes in the last twenty-four hours. I need to protect the women of this pack.

I go out the front door. Bo was not kidding. Even the old times came to help. They never help unless there is food or booze involved. "Thanks, everyone, for coming," I begin to address the crowd of wolves.

The wolves stand tall and turn to listen to what I have to say. "Listen, Tee and Tory have been taken by Alan. We need to replace both of them quickly. If you know of anywhere, he might go to hide with them, see Bo or me. I need you to split off into groups. We need to search Tee's house, the woods, the lake, check the roads, any abandoned homes in the area, and anywhere you can think he might be hiding them. I have not been able to get in touch with Tee's husband, and please be delicate if you hear from Henry. This will crush him. Tee stays here at my house when he is away; I feel responsible for her and would like to be the one to tell him what is going on, so please be delicate if you talk to Henry," I say to the crowd.

Bo goes out among the crowd and starts breaking them off into small groups. I feel lost, like I should do more than what I am doing. I have no idea which way or where he went. After Bo sends everyone in different directions to search, he and I walk the property, searching for any sign of how Tory was taken from the property or if she was taken from the property already.

Bo walks ahead of me. He stops not too far from the side Kitchen door. "Look, has anyone parked here lately," Bo asks me.

"No, I do not know why anyone would park here," I say to him.

We look at the ground. It is obvious something was parked here. Alan waited here for us to return home, and then he took her when I was not paying attention. "Someone had to help him. No cars or trucks are missing or stolen. Steven's truck is still at the cabin. None of my trucks or cars are missing. Someone is helping him, but who?' I say to Bo.

"Did you notice anyone missing from the group that came out?" Bo asks.

"No, not that would matter. I think everyone came except for the elders. They are too old to help with a search, and most of them do not drive anymore," I say.

"I did not notice anyone that might be missing either," Bo says.

We walk along the tire tracks to see which way they went. We follow the tracks to the road. They seem to turn onto the dirt road and head toward town. "Go get my truck. We will follow the tracks. At least it will give us some idea which way they went," I say to Bo.

Bo leaves me to continue walking along the dirt road. I follow the tire tracks until it ends at the pavement. It appears the vehicle turned right, and it went off the pavement and into the grass when it turned. Bo pulls up beside me with one of the old-timers.

"Alpha, Joe here seems to think that Alan has a house not far from here," Bo says.

I open the door and get into the truck. "Take me there. How did we know not about this house?" I ask Bo.

The old-timer perks up. "Because Alpha, it is not his house. It belonged to Maude. Alan's father was a wolf. Maude was not a wolf. The old house belonged to her family," Joe says. "How do you know all of this?" I ask Joe.

"Well, sir, I married Maude's sister, Anna. She died young, and then I remarried. I remember the house; at least, I think I know about where it is. Does this help you?" Joe says. "Yes, Joe, you have no idea how much this helps us. Maybe he went there with Tee and Tory," I say.

"We should grab a few more wolves," Bo suggests.

"Yeah, we should," I say.

A few wolves are walking up the road to enter the woods from another direction. "Bo, grab those guys," I say to him.

"They are young wolves, are you sure?" Bo asks me.

"Yes, they are young and fast, not like our old asses," I say to him.

Bo goes to the young wolves and instructs them to get in the back of the truck to go with us. The boys jump in the truck without hesitation. They are young and ready to prove themselves to their Alpha. We pull out onto the pavement after the boys are securely in the back of the truck.

"Just follow this road down until there is a red dirt road on the left, I think. It may be the right. I will know when I see it. Forgive me, Alpha; it has been a long time. I do not get out much anymore," Joe says. "Take your time, Joe, to remember," I say to him.

We drive for several minutes. I am starting to think the old wolf is lost when I see the red dirt road. "That is it, right there. The house is way back off the road. It is an old farmhouse with a big basement," Joe says. "Let's park in the woods. We do not want him to see us coming for him," I say.

We pull the truck into a wooded area. We can see the house. "Joe, I want you to go back and get more wolves. Bring everyone here. We are going to take care of Alan today," I say. "Yes, Alpha," Joe says.

Joe waits for all of us to be clear of the truck, and he pulls out of the driveway to go back to the house to get all of the wolves he can replace to come to help us rescue Tee and Tory.
