Chapter 1084: Stirring Trouble

With those words, Kian took advantage of Miss Lindsey's dazed stateto close the car door and quickly got into the passenger seat. They leftwithout giving Miss Lindsey a chance to react.

Miss Lindsey stood there, her face wearing an unpleasant expression, gazing at the departing car. She couldn't help but grab her phone andcall a friend, asking, "Ayan didn't take the bait at all. I made myintentions quite clear, and he didn't react at all. Could it be that I wasn'tclear enough?"

Her friend responded, "You should have met him alone. Men of hisstatus always want to maintain a clean image around others. So youshould have approached him privately. These things require the righttime, place, and people. If you do manage to win him over, you'll beliving the high life forever. Why bother working hard and pleasing yourcurrent old man?"

Her friend's words reignited Miss Lindsey's confidence.

She watched the direction in which Ayan had driven off and silently toldherself, “I will definitely win this man over!"

On the way to the airport, Ayan sat in the back seat, his expression coldand stern. There was a clear sense of displeasure in his eyes. He tooka deep breath, and the pungent scent of the perfume that the womanhad left lingered around him, making him feel quite uncomfortable.

He immediately removed his suit jacket and tossed it to Kian in thepassenger seat, saying, "This jacket reeks. Get rid of it."

Kian quickly understood, nodded, and said, "Certainly."

Ayan then asked, "What company is that woman from? Contact hercompany and ensure such a person never appears in my presenceagain."

She had the audacity to make a move on him. It was utterlypreposterous.

Kian promptly shared the woman's company information with Ayan andalso contacted the company's owner, despite the early hour.

This company's owner had cooperated with Sophia, which was whythey had dinner together last night. Naturally, they also wanted a shareof the project that Sophia was working on. Even a small portion of thepie would be beneficial for their small company.

Kian explained the incident to the owner and expressed his belief thatsomeone like this woman should not be allowed to continue working forthe company. He sternly advised against such behavior, explaining thatit was unacceptable. The owner immediately distanced the companyfrom the woman's actions, stating that it had nothing to do with thecompany and was solely her personal behavior. The company hadnever sanctioned such actions.

Kian glanced at Ayan, but Ayan didn't respond in any way. It was clearthat Ayan wasn't concerned about whether the company was involvedor not. He only cared about ensuring that the woman wouldn'treappear.

After resolving this matter, Kian ended the call. He looked at Ayan andsaid, "Mr. Simpson, today's incident should have been an accident. Thecompany was interested in working with you, so they wouldn'trecklessly make a move on you. If things work out, it's beneficial forthem. If not, they will continue as they are. Any negative publicitywouldn't be good for them, given their small size."

Ayan's gaze remained fixed on the window, and his face wasexpressionless. It was impossible to discern his thoughts.

Kian's words hung in the air for a while before Ayan finally spoke in adeliberate manner, "If they didn't do it on purpose, it's for the best. But ifthey had intentions of scheming against me, they truly miscalculated.”Kian nodded in agreement with Ayan.

The next moment, Ayan spoke again, saying, "After returning to HanceCity, take me straight to Franklin Bay."

"Of course, Mr. Simpson,” Kian agreed with a nod.

In no time, they arrived at the airport.

Ayan's flight was scheduled to depart in forty minutes, and the trip backto Hance City would only take about two hours. So he estimated that bythe time he returned to Franklin Bay, Camille would likely still besleeping or at home if she was awake.

Ayan hadn't seen Camille in two days, and to be honest, he missed herquite a bit.

Therefore, his first thought upon returning to Hance City was to see her.Of course, Camille was unaware of Ayan's plans. She had stayed uplate into the morning and decided to rest until later in the day. Whenshe messaged Sienna before going to sleep, Sienna was surprised tosee the message's timestamp. She mumbled to herself, "Is she stayingup all night because Ayan isn't home?"

"Did you stay up all night?" Rex, who had just emerged from thebathroom, took the message and asked while looking at Sienna.Sienna didn't respond, just looked at Rex with a faint expression, rollingher eyes without answering.

Rex smiled and, approaching her, asked, "What were you muttering toyourself?"

“I won't tell you. Can't people have some personal space forthemselves?" Sienna replied, her tone casual.

Rex tilted her chin up gently, gave her lips a soft kiss, and said in a low, husky voice, "You belong to me. Do you really need personal space?""I belong to you, but I'm not sold to you, am I? Can't I have a littlepersonal space?"

"No."

"What about you? Is there nothing you keep from me? Have you beencompletely open with me?" Sienna gazed into his eyes, her gazeprobing, as she knew that Rex had something on his mind that hehadn't shared with her. Her focused look didn't give Rex any chance toevade.

They locked eyes for quite some time, and though Sienna continued togaze at Rex, he remained silent throughout.

Sienna asked, "Why aren't you answering? Is it something you can'ttalk about?"

Rex ruffled her hair gently and said, "What do you mean by something Ican't answer?"

"So you've got many things you're keeping from me?"

Sienna raised an eyebrow, her eyes containing a mischievous glint. She blinked and looked at Rex, who seemed hesitant to respond. In theend, Rex didn't answer. He didn't want to lie to Sienna, but he alsodidn't intend to confess. His silence, to some extent, acknowledged it.During their standoff, Rex's phone rang.

It was his secretary calling.

Rex released Sienna and took the call, stepping aside and answering it.Sienna observed him intently. After the call, she noticed that hisexpression had grown more serious. He said, "You handle it, and I'll beat the office later."

Ending the call, he lowered his hand with the phone and kept his gazeon Sienna. In a gentle tone, he asked, "Did you meet the troublemakerswith Camille yesterday afternoon?"

Sienna hadn't told Rex about the incident to spare him unnecessaryworry. She decided to keep silent on the matter. However, when Rexquestioned her like this, she couldn't help but think, "Uh-oh."
