Chapter 1103: Stingy

Camille pursed her lips and smiled, her voice soft as she responded,"You're Mr. Simpson, my child's father!"

He reached out and grabbed Camille's chin, letting out a low grunt.“You just won't say what I want to hear, will you?"

Camille chuckled. "Aren't these things what you wanted to hear? Howcould you be like this? I thought everything I said would please you.Looks like I was thinking too much.”

"You've learned to bite back now?" He stared at Camille andunconsciously tightened his grip on her chin. Without waiting for anyresponse from Camille, he lowered his head and forcefully kissed herlips.

His voice hoarse, he said, "Be good and don't make me uncomfortableanymore."

Camille wrapped her arms around his waist and blinked. "I'm verygood; it's actually you who seems a little off."

The two bickered while the old Simpson prepared himself.

To avoid drawing attention to themselves they took a car directly to thehospital.

They used the doctor's exclusive passage so they wouldn't encounterany patients in the hospital.

The old Simpson's ward was in the VIP section of the hospital - quietfloors with specially assigned bodyguards stationed outside so therewould be no disturbances.

The ward was a one-bedroom suite with two living rooms that hadbetter facilities than some high-end apartments - so staying herewouldn't be too difficult for the old Simpson.

As soon as they arrived Dr. Ellis followed closely behind them into theroom after exchanging pleasantries with them both beforehand:

“The old Simpson," Dr. Ellis began reassuringly,"Don’“t worry about yourhealth report; I've looked over it thoroughly without replaceing anythingmajor wrong with your health condition yet . You can trust my medicalskills during your stay here since my students will take care ofeverything along with me- all nurses are under my supervision- if thereis anything that concerns or bothers you feel free to communicate itwith them."

“Thank you," The old Simpson nodded gratefully.

"You're welcome,” Dr. Ellis replied softly.

Dr. Ellis had been friends with Fletcher for many years now due Derek'srelationship Ayan , so naturally he would do everything in his power forThe Old Simpsons’ well-being .

It was only their first day of admission so there weren't many medicalexaminations planned other than allowing him time to adjust.

After chatting briefly about nothing significant at all , Dr. Ellis leftaccompanied by Ayan while Camille stayed behind keeping The OldSimpsons company inside.

Outside of their room , Dr. Ellis walked alongside Ayan towards hisoffice .

Ayan asked, "Is Grandpa really doing okay?"

"So far, he's doing alright. It's just that the old Simpson is getting upthere in age and can't do things as well as younger people. So we haveto take it slow and be extra careful with everything,” replied Dr. Ellis.Ayan nodded understandingly, but still had many worries in his heart.Dr. Ellis seemed to sense this and said, "Don't worry Ayan, I'll doeverything I can. And besides, the old Simpson is doing pretty well rightnow too."

“Thank you," Ayan said gratefully.

"Don't mention it. It's my duty,” Dr. Ellis replied.

Although Dr. Ellis tried to reassure Ayan, he also spoke some rationalwords because of the risks involved with treating an elderly patient likethe old Simpson.

Regardless of these risks though, Ayan knew he had to make all kindsof decisions for his grandfather no matter what pressures or risks wereinvolved.

His grandfather was very important to him and was his most importantperson; he hoped that the old Simpson would stay healthy and strongfor a long time yet.

After leaving Dr. Ellis’ room, Ayan immediately returned back into TheOld Simpsons’ room where Camille was keeping him company. Theychatted about weather which made The Old Simpsons laugh out loud.Aryan saw them both looking secretive when they noticed him comeback. The Old Simpsons quickly told Camille not tell anything funnythey talked about. Camille nodded her head in agreement. Aryan foundtheir behavior amusing but didn't ask what secret they were hiding. Hesat next to Camille while watching The Old Simpsons closely. Hesaid,"Grandpa, I've already discussed with Dr. Ellis. We'll startcooperating with his treatment once you're feeling better. You're thebiggest person in the Simpson family so you can't cry like Timmy. Let'sget through this together okay?"

As soon as Aryan finished speaking, the coldness appeared on The OldSimpsons face. He glared at Aryan asking"What are you talkingabout?"

“I'm saying exactly what I mean. I know you heard me. Just sohappens, Cami is here too. She can vouch for us. You're not allowed toback out or escape from your responsibilities. This time since we'vealready come, you must cooperate fully with Dr. Ellis’ treatment,right?"Aryan replied firmly

Ayan knows the old Simpson very well. Although he's in the hospitalnow, if he doesn't make up his mind, he'll change his mind at the lastminute. Not to mention cooperating with treatment is also impossible forhim.

Everyone has put in so much effort to persuade the old Simpson tocooperate with treatment while he's here at the hospital. Of course, nomatter what happens, he must stay here obediently.

The old Simpson had a calm face, probably because Ayan exposed hispersonality in front of Camille. His expression was not happy either.Camille immediately understood that everything Ayan said was true;otherwise, The Old Simpson would have directly refuted her.

Because it was all true, The Old Simpson remained silent andcompletely looked like someone who wouldn't respond no matter whatyou say.

Seeing The Old Simpson throwing a tantrum like a child, Camillequickly said: "Grandpa! Is Ayan accusing you wrongly?"

The Old Simpson looked at Camille as if she were grasping at strawsand subconsciously nodded: "Yes! He accused me wrongly."

Camille looked serious as she turned towards Ayan and said: "How canyou do this? Grandpa could never be that kind of person! He wouldn'tthrow tantrums like children! Grandpa has an open heart; He is anupright man who always keeps his word! You should apologize tograndpa right away!"

Invisible to The Old Simpsons eyesight but visible only by Camilles’,they were communicating through eye contact - husband and wife aretruly one entity - Ayan suddenly understood that this was their plan allalong - One sings white face while another sings red face- making itimpossible for The Old Simpsons’ escape route.

Following Camilles’ words, Ayans apologized sincerely with her headslightly lowered: "I'm sorry grandpa; It's my small-mindedness. Youcouldn't possibly be that kind of person. It's my fault for thinking too littleof you."

The old simpson saw this scene and hesitated slightly while camilecontinued speaking : “Grandfather , he already apologized . You don'tneed to hold grudges against him anymore. If he ever dares speak illabout you again, I'll take care of him alright?"

The old Simpson faced Camille with a pleasant expression, eventhough he realized belatedly that they might be acting. He could onlysmile at Camille with a full face. However, in his heart, he couldn't helpbut mutter to himself: Is Camille and Ayan trying to scheme againstme?

Camille and Ayan had no idea what the old Simpson was thinking. Theyonly saw the old Simpson nodding willingly, which put their minds atease.

Ayan didn't forget to say: "Grandpa, you mustn't forget what you justpromised? Cami and I both saw it. Of course, you can always stand usup, but surely you won't lie to Cami too?"

Upon hearing this, the old Simpson spoke righteously: "How could I lieto Cami? It's you who are the little rascal! Let me tell you something;don't think that just because I'm staying in the hospital means I don'tknow what's going on outside. If you dare treat Cami badly then tryme!"

Ayan quickly replied: "Don't worry; there is no possibility of thathappening.”

“It better be so; otherwise, I won't spare any mercy," said The OldSimpson as he snorted lightly while warning and threatening Ayan withhis eyes.

The two stayed with the Old Simpson for a whole morning at thehospital. Although there were still many things left for them to handleover at the Simpsons Group, but the Old Simpson's health matterswere naturally more important than anything else.
