My Ex-husband Begs Me Back
Chapter 625 Guilty

Chapter 625 Guilty

Naturally, Camille said yes.

Ayan led her out of the office and instructed Kian before leaving, "Takecare of this and then go to the dinner party for me tonight."

Kian had no choice but to nod his head and see Ayan leave withCamille.

From the bottom of his heart, he silently paid salute to Mr. Simpson forhis cunniness.

Isn't that a classic show of getting his way through playing weak?Camille came out of the Simpson Group with Ayan and the two sat inthe car, Ayan driving and Camille sitting in the passenger seat, and sheasked, "What do you want to eat?"

It was after 2pm, an awkward time.

Ayan said, "What do you want to eat?"

“I'm not too hungry."

"Then let's go to Mrs. Barnes’ for a bowl of noodles, shall we?"Camille was stunned. Must he bother to ask her about this?

Shouldn't it be his choice?

But Camille didn't ask, just gave a slight nod as a yes.

It had been a while since the two had been here, and Mrs. Barnes wasespecially happy to see them. There was no one there at this point, soMrs. Barnes cooked for them herself.

Camille was not hungry, but Mrs. Barnes" noodles were so temptingthat she ate a small bowl.

After eating the noodles, the two of them accompanied Mrs. Barnes tochat for a while. Mrs. Barnes was also very worried about Old Simpson, and went over to visit him when she learned that he had woken up. Andnow speaking of his condition, she was still worried.

Mrs. Barnes asked, "Ayan, is there really nothing wrong withGrandpa?"

Ayan said without much expression, "It's okay, don't worry, all the bestmedical teams are here. It will be fine."

"My husband and I have been worried a lot these days. H cannot sleepat night and gets up every morning before dawn to prepare food andsend it to the hospital for your father and see your grandpa.”

Mr. Barnes had been working at the Simpson's mansion and with theold Simpson for many years, so naturally they had deep bonds.

After hearing Mrs. Barnes’ words, Ayan also said lightly, “Let Mr.Barnes relax, grandpa will be fine."

Mrs. Barnes then nodded, and she wanted to ask Timmy again, butbefore she could say anything, Camille's cell phone rang andinterrupted them.

It was an unfamiliar number that she hadn't seen before.

Camille walked to the door with the phone in her hand and then onlythen pressed the answer, "Who is it?"

Mrs. Simpson, I'm the bodyguard Mr. Simpson arranged to keep an eyeon Cora, and Cora wants to apologize to you."

Camille was not surprised that it was only two days. She hadoverestimated Cora and thought that she would at least hold off forthree or four days before being found.

She said emotionlessly, "Put it on the speakerphone!"

The bouncer didn't allow Cora to touch the phone, and when thespeakerphone was turned on, Camille didn't start, but stayed quiet andwaited for Cora to speak.

It was quiet. Camille was not in the least bit anxious. She was not theone who was hungry anyway, so she wouldn't be the one at adisadvantage.

It lasted for nearly half a minute before Cora's voice sounded overthere: "Camille..."

Her voice sounded quite weak, and it seemed that not eating for twodays was quite a torture for her.

Camille said without any emotion, “If you have something to say, sayit."

Cora pursed her lips lightly and said in a low voice, “I'm sorry!"

“I'm sorry? Sorry for what?"

“I should not have asked you to kneel down and apologize, and Ishould not have vented on the innocent child and Mr. Simpson. I amsorry to the old Simpson and Timmy and the Simpson family, Iapologize to all of you."

She said all the words in one breath.

But Camille didn't react much when she heard it, just asked unhurriedly,"Finished?"

Cora didn't understand what that meant, and she said, baffled, "Isn'tthat enough?"

Camille laughed, "Miss Hayes, you made the call. I didn't force you. Ifyou think that's enough, then that's it, so I'll hang up?"

After saying that, Camille made a move to hang up the phone.

Cora immediately became anxious and said, "Camille, what more doyou want from me? You asked me to apologize, then I did. You askedyour people to record the video and they recorded it. What more do youwant from me to give me food?"

"Miss Hayes is really funny. You were the one who wanted to make thecall, and now you're impatient after saying sorry just twice? If that's thecase, why did you call me?"

"What do you want?"

“It's not what I want, it's what you want, Miss Hayes. Do you think youare sincere enough? Do you think you've satisfied my requests? Whatdid I say then? And what do you do now?"

Camille had no intention of just letting her off the hook.

Cora slowly recalled Camille's words and soon remembered what shehad said.

She merely gritted her teeth, somewhat reluctant to speak, herdemeanor and reactions invisible to Camille, so she simply saidindifferently, "So do you have anything else to say? If not then so be it. Idon't have time to keep wasting on you."

Camille didn't bother to keep talking to her anymore.

Cora immediately said, "I am a sinner!"

Her voice was low, as if she was resigned.

Camille narrowed her eyes slightly and smiled faintly, "What did yousay? I didn't just hear you."

“I'm a sinner! I am a sinner, I am sorry to the old Simpson, sorry to theSimpson family and to your child, is that all right? Are you satisfied?"Camille raised the corners of her mouth slightly, and there was acoldness under her eyes as she said, "Put the bodyguard on thephone.”

The bodyguard immediately understood and raised the phone to hisear, "Mrs. Simpson, you go ahead.”

"Give her just one meal."

"Understood."

The phone call ended. Camille stood in place without rushing in. Shetilted her head and looked up at the sky and sighed deeply. For whatshe did now to Cora, she did not think she had gone too far, nor did shethink she was wrong to torture Cora in this way.

It was all because Cora hurt Timmy and Old Simpson in the first place.Compared to Cora, all she did was not worth mentioning.

After all, It was just a little bit of suffering and hunger for Cora, but theold Simpson? He almost couldn't wake up from the coma. The bruisesin the head still hadn't dissipated. Every day that followed was a risk atany moment, and while the joy of waking up to the old Simpson wasoverwhelming, the reality of it was also gnawing.

So what was wrong with Cora saying she was a sinner andapologizing?

But Camille wasn't going to let her off the hook like that.

"Why don't you go inside after the phone call?" Camille had not yetreturned to her senses when a low, muffled man's voice suddenly rangin her ears.

She looked back to see Ayan standing behind her at some point.

She didn't answer, just said, "Can we go back?"

"Well, let's go!"

“I'll say bye to Mrs. Barnes."

After parting, the two then headed out.

Ayan was supposed to take Camille back to the Simpson's mansion, but Camille said, “I'm going to meet Sienna for a while."

Ayan nodded and drove Camille straight to Sienna's restaurant.Originally she thought that after arriving he would leave, but she did notexpect him to get off and walk into the restaurant.

It ended up being Camille chatting with Sienna and Ayan and Rexhaving tea.

Because two men were there, it was not convenient to talk about manytopics, so Sienna mentioned, "How about going shopping?"

Camille thought it was OK, then got up with Sienna and went shopping.Without the men around, the two men are now relaxed and at ease.Sienna asked, "Have you two gotten along better lately?"

Camille didn't hold back: "He... mentioned to me that he wanted to getback together."

"What do you think?" Sienna wasn't surprised at all. By Ayan's nature, ifthere was no such intention, he would not be pestering Camille everyday.
