My Ex-husband Begs Me Back -
Chapter 665 Dispatches
Chapter 665 Dispatches
Ayan refused. He said, "No, Preston will not arrange Eileen to doanything so fast. You really think Austin is an idiot and will sleep withanyone? It's only because Cora disgranced him. He felt that Eileen issomeone related to me because of our history. He accepted Eileen soquickly because he wanted to use Eileen to discredit me.”
But the fact was that he had nothing to do with Eileen, and Austin'splans were probably wrong.
Now he thought that Eileen was of some use to him, but when Prestonarranged for Eileen to make a move, it would be hard for him to get outof it.
Ayan slightly narrowed his eyes, the bottom of which was overflowedwith deep coldness. What would happen in the future was stillunknown, but now he was very satisfied to see these people bundledtogether. The more chaos the better, so that it would be good for him atany time.
After reporting the work, Kian handed the documents he brought toAyan for his signature, and then used the computer to take notes onsome important work while Ayan was having breakfast. It took morethan an hour, during which the whole ward was in silence.
The only sounds were the tapping of the keyboard and the pen slidingacross the paper.
After finishing his work, Kian had no intention to leave, but just sat therequietly and waited for his orders.
At this moment, the ward door was pushed open from the outside. Ayaninstantly looked over, with a trace of gentleness in his eyes, but whenhe saw that the person who came in was not the one he had in mind, the expression on his face immediately went cold.
He didn't even mean to pay any attention. His eyes dropped to stare atthe papers in front of him again, and Kian on the sofa immediately gotup and bowed his head slightly to the person who entered: "Mr. Ward."Rex also nodded, then walked to the chair by the bed and sat down. Helooked at Ayan with a smile on his face: "What's going on? You didn'teven say hello when you saw me?"
Ayan said without much emotion, "Something wrong?"
Rex: "Why can't I come and see you if there's nothing wrong? My bestfriend is injured and in the hospital, so shouldn't I come and take careof him more?"
"And you can go after you've seen it."
"Ayan, what's wrong with you today? Are you on fire? I didn't provokeyou, did 1?" Rex tilted his head and stared at Ayan with a gossipy face.Ayan just slightly narrowed his eyes, which were cold as ice. “Then Istill have to smile at you?"
“There is no need to be so polite. After all, we do not need thisnonsense.”
“You really dare to answer." Ayan gave him a look with little patienceand asked, "Something to say?"
Rex: "Nothing. I came to visit a friend with my mom, so I stopped by tosee you."
Ayan didn't say anything, just stared at him with indifferent eyes. Sucha look of him made Rex frown slightly, and with a soft voice, he asked,"Why are you looking at me like this?"
Ayan said unhurriedly, "You have nothing to do these days?"
Last time when they enjoyed the spa, Ayan talked to him too, but Rex'sreaction wasn't too obvious, so he wasn't sure if Rex picked up on hishints or not.
Rex met his gaze and said, "Luckily, Sienna is busy these days, so Ihave nothing to do but work."
"What is she busy with?"
Ayan asked naturally.
Rex narrowed his eyes and snorted lightly, "Ayan, Sienna is mywoman, and your wife's best friend. It's not good for you to pay toomuch attention to her."
Ayan looked at him like a fool and said with little emotion in his voice:“You have to know yourself, and don't make a fool of yourself."
Rex hooked his lips and smiled as he said, "Fine, fine, I am a fool.”Ayan looked at him deeply. It became more meaningful in his eyes, andhis voice was low: "You don't understand what I mean, do you?"
The smile on Rex's handsome face disappeared instantly, leaving onlyindifference, and he no longer looked at Ayan, but shifted to look outthrough the window. The blue sky had nothing like his mood at themoment, total emptiness and loneliness.
His voice was nonchalant: "How can I not understand?"
“Now that you can understand it, you're not going to do anything aboutit?"
"Do what?"
"Just let her go?"
Rex smiled coldly, and his indifferent gaze turned to Ayan as he said,"Then we'll have to see if he has the ability to take her from under mynose."
"Whether he has the ability or not, he has pulled her from under yournose to his side, so you want to continue to put up with this?" Ayan didnot have any euphemism. All his words were blunt and struck him intosilence for a long time.
It was a few minutes before he spoke again, and Rex said in a lowvoice, “The process doesn't matter, I want a result.”
"Oh, yes, but if the result is not what you want, then do not complain tome, and do not let me do justice for you, but I won't interfere in youraffairs. It's better not to drink to Kill the sorrow. We do not want tocomfort you, and do not want to appear. the next day on the trendingwith you. If the whole Hance City knows, you will really be a laughingstick. I hope that by then you will automatically withdraw from my team.I do not want to be friends with the kind of people who disgrace me."Ayan's bitter tongue wouldn't stop.
The reason he said so, naturally, was also that he hoped Rex wouldn'tbe shilly-shally but make a good decision to act quickly. His wordsabout process and result were just excuses.
Since the enemy's purpose had been revealed, then there was no needto continue wasting time. It should be quick and accurate for him toshow their purpose directly, and keep the woman he was in love with byhis side.
On hearing Ayan's words, Rex did not say anything more, but onlysighed helplessly, and only then did he rise and say, "Well, since youhave finishedyour lecturing, I should go now.”
Ayan didn't respond to him, just gave him a nonchalant look. Rexturned around and walked to the door.
As Rex was about to leave, Ayan frowned and said in a low voice, "Ifyou need anything, just ask me."
Hearing this, Rex stopped in his tracks and looked back at Ayan toreveal a smile: "Look, you still can't bear to be cruel to me. Don't worry.I should ask you for help if I really need it. You can't escape from me.""Heh." Ayan just hummed lightly and didn't say anything.
Rex smiled, "I really have to go now."
Rex went out from the ward, and the ward fell into silence.
Kian, who had been quiet since Rex's arrival, sat on the sofa tominimize his presence, but even though he said nothing, Ayan's eyeswere still on him.
Ayan stared at him with a cold face, "You stand up."
Kian immediately stiffened his back and stood up from the sofa. Hefaced Ayan like a child who had made a mistake facing his parents. Helooked a little confused. "Mr. Simpson."
Ayan wrinkled his brow, seeming not that happy. And he spokeindifferently, "She sleeps on the sofa at night, so how can she sleepagain if you sit there?"
