My Ex-husband Begs Me Back
Chapter 786 Frequent

Chapter 786 Frequent

Camille had these two questions in her mind, but she didn't participatein the discussion with others. After all, no matter what the truth was, ithad nothing to do with her. Although she didn't like Louise, she wouldn'tpush someone to their limits.

So not caring about it was the best response from her.

Camille continued with her work as everyone discussed for a few moremoments before it ended. After all, the people involved were notpresent and no one could give a correct answer. So continuing to talkabout it would be a waste of time.

Just then, someone holding their phone and browsing through HanceCity's local forum suddenly exclaimed: "Louise is dead.”

Upon hearing this, everyone was stunned.

All eyes unconsciously turned towards the person who spoke thosewords. She also had a pale and stiff face while holding up her phone: "Isaw it on a forum, and even the police have released an officialstatement.”

Everyone subsequently picked up their phones to open up the localforum thread - Camille included - after all such big news was quiteshocking.

The thread had exploded with comments from netizens.

The security guard at the apartment building where Louise lived foundher body in the treelawn of her apartment. She was stiff, lying in thegrass without any breath of life.

The security guard immediately called the police, who took her away, and after an investigation, they concluded that her death was causedby asphyxiation.

Why did she suffocate to death?

That's something to think about.

“Is this the person who apologized to Mrs. Simpson of the SimpsonGroup last time?" a number of people commented on the post.

“It's that person who apologized last time to Mrs. Simpson fromSimpson Group right?"

"Yes! It's definitely her!"

“Last time when she apologized, there wasn't any response from Mrs.Simpson, right?"

"I feel like I've discovered some huge secret today... I'm starting to getscared...”

"Me too!"

“This is so scary... What if they silence me too?"

"Don't just speculate randomly; if they really didn?? t accept anapology, then they would choose another way of dealing with thingsinstead of resorting to something like this because after all this is takingsomeone?? s life! There must be other reasons behind this.”

There were many comments expressing different opinions whichcaused chaos in that thread.

Compared to those people in that conference room though; naturallyeverything seemed peaceful here despite Camille seeing what waswritten on that post along with its replies - others saw them too - soeveryone looked at each other subconsciously including Camille as wellwho felt their gaze upon herself.

Someone quickly said, "Ms. Armstrong, don't take it to heart. Peopleonline are just talking nonsense..."

Camille smiled and said, "I'm not taking it to heart. I believe the policewill investigate thoroughly.”

She didn't do anything wrong, so she had nothing to feel guilty about.Only those who have done something wrong would feel guilty.

So Camille's gaze turned towards Amber, who felt her stare and lookedback at her. The two of them locked eyes for a moment before Amberseemed to flinch away.

At that moment, an architect asked in a low voice, "Miss Torres, Louiseworked for the same company as you. Did she commit suicide becauseshe couldn't handle the pressure from work?"

Amber's face changed even more drastically now with a hint of panicflashing in her eyes as she replied coolly,"l don't know. I wasn't closewith her so don't ask me about it. Didn't Ms. Armstrong already sayeverything there is to say about her? The police will naturallyinvestigate thoroughly.”

With that said Amber stood up and left for the restroom.

As soon as Amber left the conference room exploded into discussion."Amber's reaction was strange just now, wasn?? t it? Could it be relatedto Louise?? s death?" someone asked.

“I noticed too because usually she likes bossing Louise around like shedoesn?? t see Louise as a human at all, and coupled with how theircompany treats Louise like an afterthought, I wouldn?? t blame anyoneif they couldn?? t take it anymore." another chimed in

"If Amber really is responsible for Louise?? s death, then that?? sterrifying! Did you guys see how calm and collected she was cominginto work like nothing happened? Isn?? t that scary?"

Everyone started discussing one after another. Although their voiceswere low, Camille could hear everything clearly without missing anydetails.

She also couldn?? t help but wonder if there was some truth behindwhat they were saying or if this was all just speculation?

Could it really be Amber?

But these were all outsiders?? guesses; only thorough investigationcould reveal what truly happened, so she would not jump toconclusions based on superficial information alone.

Camille didn't participate in their discussion but instead continuedworking at her desk.

Although Louise wasn?? t famous nor held any significant position ofpower or influence, she was once a living person- since news broke outregarding where they found her body (in an apartment complex lawn),many people took notice demanding justice from the police while urgingthem towards conducting fair investigations promptly.

This morning was anything but calm, and Jenson arrived at themuseum in no time.

Jenson addressed everyone, “I'm sure you all know about Louise'sincident. None of us wanted this to happen. If the police need yourcooperation with their investigation, I hope you can fully cooperate.Until we figure out what happened, our project will be put on hold for afew days."

Everyone nodded and began packing up to leave.

However, before anyone could exit the conference room, securityguards from the museum arrived with police officers.

The police stated their intention: "We're here to investigate Louise'scase. According to her personal social media accounts during her timeon this project at the museum, she had many unpleasant encounterswith Camille and Amber. We would like both of them to come down tothe station for questioning.”

Jenson was present and immediately spoke up: “As head of thisproject, if there is anything that needs clarification or explanation fromus regarding Louise's case, please ask me directly.”

The police replied: "Both Camille and Amber have had conflicts withLouise, so we need both of them for detailed questioning at the policestation. If necessary, later on we'll contact you."

Although Jenson was in charge of the project he wasn't needed rightnow so he didn't accompany them.

Finally Camille and Amber were taken away by authorities.

Because none of them had ever experienced such a thing before theywere all frightened beyond belief.

Sophie whispered anxiously,"What should we do? Will we also beimplicated?"

"Will this affect our work?" another asked worriedly.

"Will this project be affected?" someone else chimed in fearfully

“Is it possible that Camille or Amber are involved in Louise's death?"yet another questioned nervously.

Jenson overheard their discussions and his expression turned cold ashe sternly commanded, "Don't talk too much about this matter! We areall part of one team; any negative or unfavorable incidents will affecteveryone! The best way is to keep silent; don't discuss it too much withanyone else, because doing so may implicate yourself!"

Everyone nodded obediently as Jenson instructed them all go homerest while waiting for further instructions from him. After they left, hepicked up his phone and dialed some numbers.

"His tone was urgent,” Kian said. "Ms. Armstrong has been taken awayby the police. They want him to come in for questioning, so what shouldwe do?"

Kian immediately relayed the news to Ayan. Although this matter hadnothing to do with Simpson Group directly, it was related to themuseum project and involved Camille, so Ayan couldn't just ignore it.Seeing that Ayan was in silence, Kian asked, "Mr. Simpson, should Icontact Logan?"

"No need," Ayan replied calmly. “Let's wait and see after he finishesgiving his statement. If it's just a simple questioning session, therewon't be any problems.”

If he were to step forward now when only a statement needed to begiven, it would surely attract unwanted attention and causeunnecessary trouble.

Kian nodded in agreement before voicing his doubts: "Mr. Simpson, why did Louise have an accident at this time? Did her companyintentionally create this situation for publicity?"

Ayan shook his head coldly: "Impossible; not every company can affordsuch publicity.”

He fell silent again before suddenly remembering something andasking indifferently: "Find out who Louise frequently interacts with."
