My Ex-husband Begs Me Back
Chapter 807: Escaping

Chapter 807: Escaping

Ayan's face turned icy, but the coldness quickly dissipated in a matterof seconds.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, not intending to speak, but his mind wasalready searching for answers.

Austin, unable to get a response from him and seeing him standing stillthrough the surveillance, asked, "Mr. Simpson, don't want to comply?Well, of course, you wouldn't compromise for a woman. Since Mr.Simpson is unwilling to do what I asked, then please leave."

Ayan stood there, unmoving. Naturally, he was aware that Austin wascurrently watching him from a room. With narrowed eyes, a cold glintflickered in his gaze as he spoke in a calm voice, "If you want me toplay hide and seek with you, why create so much fuss? If you wantCora, you could simply come replace me directly. By doing what you'redoing now, do you think we can have a civilized conversation?"

Austin smirked provocatively, "Mr. Simpson, I also want to have aproper conversation, but Mr. Simpson is not willing to give me thatchance. I have no other option. Since this method can make Mr.Simpson come to me willingly, I think it's not a bad idea. At least youcan give me that opportunity, right? Mr. Simpson, you have nineminutes and twenty seconds left. Do you want to continue wasting it?"Austin taunted, "For the sake of fairness, let's stop the conversation fornow. I'll be waiting to talk to Mr. Simpson face-to-face. Hurry up!"

With that, Austin hung up the phone.

Ayan tightly gripped his phone, his handsome face wrapped incoldness, concealing the restrained emotions he had been struggling tocontrol.

He stood still for a moment, briefly lost in thought, before finally taking astep towards the direction on his left.

Watching Ayan's chosen path, Austin in front of the surveillance screencurled his lips into a smile. The people around him also noticed hisexpression and joined in the laughter. "Mr. Norman, Ayan won't be ableto replace us in ten minutes. He's definitely going to lose. Have youdecided on how to punish him?"

Austin chuckled lightly and casually replied, "No rush, I'll decide whenthe time comes. With such a large area here, I don't believe Ayan canreplace us in a second. It's a sizable place, even if he drives around incircles, it would take at least half an hour. Besides, he's on foot. I wantto see how capable he really is. He's good at hiding people, right? Nowlet him experience the challenge of replaceing someone."

Austin's dissatisfaction towards Ayan was brimming, and his hatred forAyan ran deep. Ayan had made him lose face in both the Cora and Mr.and Mrs. Bell projects. Even after returning to Campole, he couldn't getrid of Ayan. Now that Ayan had come to Hance City, he was still usingthose matters to threaten and remind him. So, he decided to strike first. For him, completely alienating Ayan was no different from the currentsituation.

After all, they could never be friends. Their relationship was destined tobe one of confrontation.

With a cold snort, Austin lay back down. Ayan had already left thesurveillance screen, and this place was too large. It was a temporarychoice for Austin, so it wasn't feasible to install cameras in every singlevilla.

Therefore, no one knew that once Ayan had evaded the cameras, heimmediately messaged his bodyguard, asking him to send the detailedlayout of this place. It was found on the internal network of this hotspring villa, containing records of every building and the more discreetareas. It was easy to understand the layout and locate hidden places.Ayan instructed his bodyguard to discreetly use a drone to scoutCamille's hidden location. Meanwhile, he personally narrowed downAustin's whereabouts little by little.

At the same time, he ordered the surveillance to be blacked out, although the screen remained visible, showing Austin a static scene. After completing this series of actions, Ayan received news from Kian. The person had been controlled, and he was on his way with them tomeet Ayan.

As Ayan continued to pinpoint Austin's location, he finally identified twopossible places.

Both locations weren't far from his current position because Austin, despite having kidnapped Camille, would undoubtedly choose a placein the middle of them that allowed for quick escape in case of anyunforeseen circumstances.

Therefore, this place had to be close to the main entrance. There wasonly one main gate, the same one Ayan had entered through, and apartfrom that, there were two side entrances.

One on the left and one on the right.

Ayan chose the left path. It was surrounded with greenery andrecreational facilities, providing no hiding spots.

The right-side entrance wasn't too far from the main gate. The areaaround it consisted of villas, and conveniently, the model house wasalso on the right side. Based on his knowledge of Austin, he wouldn'twillingly subject himself to discomfort or hardship. The model housewould be his best choice.

Although it hadn't been occupied for a while, it still offered more comfortthan empty houses without any furnishings.

Once Ayan confirmed Austin's location, he turned around along theedge of the villas and headed towards the spot he had determinedAustin to be.

His steps were swift, yet he made little noise.

As he neared the model house, he suddenly heard voices conversing,"How long does Mr. Norman want us to stay here? The place providesshelter, but we can't even get delivery food. We're stuck with dryrations, and we're not allowed to leave. It's almost dark, are wesupposed to spend the night here?"

The voices were neither too loud nor too soft, and they reached Ayan'sears clearly.

He halted his steps, his expression turning instantly cold. Retrieving hisphone in the vibrating mode from his pocket, he slowly approached inthe direction from which the voices came. The two individualscontinued their conversation, complaining discontentedly whilesmoking.

Ayan paid little attention to their dialogue until one of them spoke withmalicious intent, “This woman is Ayan's wife. Who is Ayan? He's theCEO of Simpson Group. His wife must be exceptional. Despite wearingcasual attire, her figure must be impressive. We're so bored here. If wecould have some fun with her, it wouldn't be so dull, right?"

The other man immediately rejected the idea, "No way, Mr. Normansaid we shouldn't do that. If Ayan replaces out, he'll kill us."

"This is what Mr. Norman asked us to do. Once it's dark, who willknow? Besides, do you think this woman would dare say anything? Shewouldn't dare tell Ayan. After all, she wants to keep her position as themistress of a wealthy family. She probably won't even have time to hideit, let alone tell anyone. If Ayan replaces out, do you think he'll still wanther? So, buddy, do you want to join me or not?"

The man's words resounded clearly in Ayan's ears, and each wordfueled his growing anger.

His hands, hanging by his sides, clenched into tight fists. Fury andcoldness flashed in his eyes, enough to make anyone tremble. If lookscould kill, those two men would already be dead.

He stood motionless, his handsome face devoid of any expression, asif nothing had happened at all.

The two men continued to laugh in a sickening manner. His heart feltlike ants gnawing at him, and the sky gradually darkened. She must besuffering more than him right now.

Ayan picked up his phone and sent a message, then casually picked upa stone from the ground and drew an arrow on a pillar.

After the two men finished speaking and left, he slowly followed suit, closing in on Austin's location. When Austin's men saw him, they froze. One of them exclaimed, "Mr. Norman!!!"

Austin, who had his eyes closed, immediately opened them uponhearing the voice. A touch of stiffness crossed his face, and heresponded coldly, "What the hell is all this noise about?"
