My Ex’s Roommates: A Reverse Harem College Sports Romance (Ex Marks the Spot) -
My Ex’s Roommates: Chapter 44
For the first time in weeks I woke up with just one body next to mine in bed. I’d grown used to being smothered by muscles and hot skin and the fact that the one body in my bed wasn’t even cuddling me made the heavy metal band playing in my brain even crankier. I rolled over and wrapped myself around them, wondering which one of my guys it was and if they would be up for taking care of me because I felt like death.
“I don’t care what you say, buddy. Just because I fell asleep in your bed doesn’t mean you’re putting your dick in me.”
I gasped and sat up, scared shitless that the body I’d been holding wasn’t one I’d meant to hold. My head raged even harder and I had to hold it with both hands because it felt like it was going to tumble right off my neck.
“Oh, god. I’m going to be sick.” Casey sprang from my bed, sprinted across the room to my closet, and then violently threw up in what I was pretty sure was my clothes hamper.
At least the person I’d slept in bed with was Casey. I had no clue how we’d gotten in my bed or how we’d even left the bar the night before. Looking around my room, I saw signs of a struggle. Clothes thrown all around, hair extensions tossed here and there, a stray eyelash glued to the wall next to my headboard. There was also a ripped pizza box on the ground next to an empty two-liter of coke. I knew for a fact my room hadn’t looked like that the day before.
“Jesus, I think I’m dying.” Casey stumbled out of the closet and seemed surprised to see me. “Hey. You were the one cuddling me?”
I groaned. “What the hell did you do to us?”
She started replaceing her things and pulling her clothes on. After she spotted the first hair extension, she reached up and rubbed a sore spot on her head. “Those weren’t supposed to come out.”
“Do you do that a lot? How are you not dead?” I tried to roll over and fell out of the bed, right on a slice of old pizza. Gagging, I rolled away from it and ended up getting tangled in another one of Casey’s extensions. “Oh, god. I’m under attack.”
“I think I threw up in your closet. Oh, god. I didn’t care as much when I thought you were a handsy asshole. I’ll pay for a cleaning service.” She’d pulled her dress on backwards and the open back was then an open front. She looked at it and whined. “I never get that drunk. You’re a bad influence on me.”
I pointed to my dresser. “Just put one of my t-shirts on over it. And I’m not a bad influence. You’re the bad influence. How did we even get home? Where are my guys?”
My bedroom door opened and Carter took one step in before freezing and pinching his nose. “What the fuck?”
Casey had already turned away, hiding her bare chest, and she quickly pulled on one of my t-shirt. “Did you show up last night? I have the foggiest memory of thinking you were a pain in the ass but that could’ve just been a random thought I had.”
Dylan moved around Carter and I saw his nose wrinkle. “Who threw up? Are you okay?”
I pouted when he came over and squatted in front of me. My head was still rioting but that bad feeling made way for shame as Dylan pulled the old pizza slice from my bare chest. “I’m gross!”
“I threw up. I might’ve done it in Harper’s closet. Call a cleaning service, Carter? Please. I would do it but I don’t know where my phone is and I think I’m dying.”
“Come on, baby. Let’s get you in the shower.” Dylan picked me up and grunted. “I never thought there’d come a time when I had your naked body in my arms and I didn’t nearly break my neck trying to get inside you.”
“Dylan!” My pout grew deeper and my eyes watered. “That’s so mean. Put me down if you think I’m so gross.”
“Yes, I was there last night. Silas and I showed up to replace you both after searching for Harper all damn day. If either of you ever get that drunk in public around a bunch of strangers again, I’m going to lose my shit. I had to hunt you down behind the DJ booth, Casey. And you, Harper, you tried giving Silas a damn handjob on the dancefloor.”
I stiffened. “No, I didn’t.”
“Yeah, you did. He’s still taking a cold shower somewhere, I’m sure. Apparently, you also informed him of a secret fantasy of yours. Do you remember that?” Carter saw my face flame and pointed his finger at me. “You’re lucky it was Silas you told and not me. I don’t think I would’ve had the self-control he did. You would’ve found herself fucked in the middle of that bar last night.”
Casey gagged. “Disgusting. But way to go, Harper. Own your sexuality, girlfriend.”
“Dylan? Can you take me to the bathroom, fill the tub up with water, and hold me under?” I remembered what he’d said and then tried to pry myself away from him. “No, wait. You don’t replace me attractive anymore. I’ll just do it myself.”
“I never said that.”
“You don’t think she’s attractive?! Why? Because she’s a strong, sexy woman who knows what she wants? What? It’s not sexy to you for a woman to have public sex fantasies? It’s a hot fantasy! Get over it, choir boy!” Casey approached and for a second it looked like she was going to try to take me from Dylan’s arms to her own, like she thought she could hold me.
Dylan growled and stepped back. “It was more of a comment on the smell of vomit filling this room and the old pizza stuck to her chest than anything. And maybe a little bit about your breath, baby, but that’s not your fault. It’s Casey’s. Casey’s and all the alcohol she poured down your throat.”
“Just drown me already!” I flopped my limbs out, making it even harder for him to hold me. “I’m never going to recover.”
“And for the record, I think Harper’s public sex fantasy is hot as fuck in theory. It’s the idea of anyone else getting a chance at seeing what doesn’t belong to them that I’m not a fan of. Not that it’s your business.” Dylan grumbled. “I’m not a fucking choir boy.”
“Oh, okay, that’s hot then.” Casey shrugged. “I need to go. I have to meet Mom and Dad for lunch.”
“It’s two o’clock and they started calling my phone an hour ago, wondering if you were dead.” Carter rolled his eyes. “I told them you probably weren’t or I would’ve gotten a feeling from the twin telepathy line.”
“You’re awful.” Casey growled and shoved him as she rushed to the door. “I’ll message you later, Harper!”
“Now we can focus all our energy on you.” Carter came closer and took me from Dylan. “We’re going to have a long talk once Silas gets home later.”
I swallowed a nervous lump. “Maybe I should go with Casey to make sure she gets home okay.”
Dylan snorted. “Nice try.”
