I was going to throw up. More than that, I was going to throw up, pass out, land in my own vomit, and suffocate to death. I couldn’t leave the restaurant bathroom. No matter how many times I told myself that I was making everything worse by not going back to our table, I still couldn’t force my legs to function. A knock at the door made me yelp, showing just how frayed my nerves were.

“Harper? Let me in.” Casey slid through the small crack I gave her and leaned heavily against the door after locking it again. “You okay?”

“Am I okay? I don’t even know what okay is right now, that’s how far from okay I am.” I paced back and forth in the high-end bathroom. “The game is tomorrow. Somehow, someone who hates me decided that tonight would be the perfect night for all of the families to get together for dinner at this restaurant that I can’t pronounce the name of. Only Silas’ family knows we’re all together so I keep having to listen to everyone else asking Dylan and your brother about their potential girlfriends because they all think I’m just Silas’ girlfriend. I didn’t know I was a jealous partner before them and now I’m losing it.” I took a deep breath. “My period was late and I nearly had a heart attack but then it came today of all days! Today! And to top off everything, my ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend and their families just walked in and sat down. Because, you know, apparently this fancy ass place is where everyone goes?!”

“Yeah… Things aren’t perfect… They could be worse, though! You could be pregnant! But you aren’t!” She winced at my death glare. “Sorry! Sorry, I’m just panicking, too. It’s the fucking Cold War out there. They sat Jake’s group at the table right next to ours. It’s not great.”

“I can’t go back out there. Tell them I got locked in but not to worry about it. No! That’s dumb. Tell them I forgot a paper for class and snuck out to finish it. Yeah, that’s better. That makes me sound like a serious student.”

“You are a serious student! Stop panicking, woman. You’re giving me hives! You cannot hide in here. You’re going to sit in here and let Jake think you’re hiding because you’re still heartbroken over him. Do you want that?”

I all but bared my teeth in a snarl at her. “Fuck no.”

“Then I suggest you wipe that crazed look off your face, fix your lipstick, and get back out there.” With a sigh that made me think she wanted to hide in the bathroom, too, she turned to go. “And do it quick or everyone’s going to think you’re pooping.”

I went to shut the door behind her because I definitely wasn’t finished with hiding, but a big hand caught the door and pushed it open. I was about to shout, thinking a stranger was coming in with me, when I saw it was Dylan.

He slipped into the women’s bathroom with me and locked the door behind him. Without a word, he came at me and gripped the back of my neck before yanking me close to kiss me. His mouth was firm against mine but when he slipped his tongue past my lips, everything went hot and soft. He tasted like the beer he’d ordered.

I gasped and pulled away as I remembered where we were. “Dylan! You can’t be in here! Your parents are out there, trying to set you up with a woman named Melanie! You are definitely not supposed to be in the bathroom with me!”

He tugged me close again. “Shut up and listen to me. Fuck Melanie or whoever else they bring up. Fuck not being able to claim you in front of them. Fuck Jake showing up. It’s killing me to sit there and know that you’re suffering. I can’t do it. So, you either let me go out there and announce to my parents that you’re mine, too, or you let me take your mind off of it in another way so you can sit there with a smile on your face.”

“You told me to shut up.” I should’ve been annoyed but there was a new kind of heat in his eyes that made me want to do just that, shut up.

“Take your panties off, Harper.” His voice was barely more than a growl as he stared down at me. “Take them off, pull that cute little dress over your ass, and bend over the sink.”

My hands were moving before my brain caught up. “Dylan! You can’t- We can’t- We’re in the- I have my period…”

Normally so fucking patient and in control Dylan was gone. In his place was a man who knew what he wanted and needed and planned on taking it. It was typical of Silas to get dominate while we had sex but seeing the new side to Dylan made my body throb with need.

He spun me around until I was facing the sink and the mirror over it. I could see his face as he reached under my dress and yanked my panties down to my knees and it was the hottest thing I’d ever seen. His eyes flicked up to meet mine through the mirror as his fingers cupped me from behind, testing to see if I was wet enough. “I’m going to fuck you, Harper. I don’t care if you have your period. I can’t send you back out there without showing you that you’re mine and that you don’t have anything to worry about. Do you want to take your tampon out, or should I?”

My face grew even brighter. “Oh, my god. I… I don’t have one in. I have a disc- It’s not the- It doesn’t-”

“Can I fuck you while it’s in or do I need to take it out? Is that a better question?” The tell-tale sound of his zipper filled my ears.

“You can. It sits-” Why the hell was I trying to explain how a period disc worked? “You can fuck me.”

He didn’t wait. Putting his hand over my mouth, he thrust deep, filling me in one stroke that knocked the breath out of my lungs and had me dancing on my tiptoes to make room inside me for what felt like too much dick. He pulled out and snapped his hips into mine to sink deep again. Never taking his eyes from my face, he watched me as he took me hard and fast. “You’re mine, Harper. You’re going to go back out there with my come deep, deep inside your cunt and you’re going to sit there and smile because you’re a goddamn queen. Do you understand me?”

He could’ve asked me if I understood quantum physics and I would’ve nodded. I would’ve followed him to the depths of the earth if he kept taking me like he was. My hips were pinned to the cold marble sink and all I could do was watch his face twist in pleasure as he took me to the edge and shoved me over.

“You’re a fucking goddess, baby. So fucking beautiful when you come for me.” Dylan only lasted a few more strokes before he came with my name on his lips. Knowing that we couldn’t stay in the bathroom for much longer, he quickly cleaned us both up and helped me adjust my clothing and hair before taking my mouth in another fierce kiss. “You’re ours, Harper. When you sit back down, I want you to remember that and remember that you own the three of us in ways that you don’t even understand yet. I want to see your pretty smile when I look down the table at you. I need it.”

It was on the tip of my tongue to blurt out what I was feeling in that moment. Not just jealousy but something bigger and stronger that made my heart race. I cared about them so much. “I can do that.”

He smiled and kissed me again before backing away. “When we get home tonight, I’m doing that again and making Silas watch since that’s all I can do out there.”

My stomach fluttered at the dark promise and the wink he gave me before leaving. I glanced back at myself in the mirror and almost laughed. He’d fucked my brain quiet. I felt like I was floating on a cloud instead of being drowned in its rain. Dinner and a smile suddenly felt a lot more doable.
