Sheldon was a little sober.

He looked at Preslie, only to see that her face was red.

There was something he couldn't say to her.

He wanted to say that she had the wrong idea.

After all, if the woman's husband didn't know about it, how could Preslie know?

Sheldon was worried that she would bring trouble to herself by interfering.
