My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey) -
Chapter 2693
The way they argued earlier made Yesseca reminisce about the past.
She always argued with Tremaine in the past.
Tremaine was a man with a very sharp tongue after all.
She always lost every argument she had with him. Tremaine would always render her speechless. This conversation reminded her of those times.
She then felt something she hadn't felt in a long time!
That long-lost sense of familiarity she once had with Tremaine.
After Tremaine apologized, she said, "Actually, you were right earlier."
Tremaine was shocked.
His deep dark eyes shimmered in surprise.
He thought he had angered her with what he said earlier.
The last thing he expected was for Yesseca to say that he was right.
"How come?" Tremaine asked, exasperated, "I said something that you clearly disagreed with."
Yesseca sighed, "Even though I disagree with it, you were still being honest. You were being yourself. Just like how you used to be, you were much better then." She wasn't used to the new, polite Tremaine.
It didn't feel real. He wasn't like the Tremaine she'd known.
The Tremaine she knew had a very sharp tongue, was very competitive, and often spoke outlandishly.
Tremaine was speechless at what Yesseca said to him.
Yesseca also realized that she had overstepped.
She then grabbed Dory's hand, "I should take Dory home now. Goodbye"
Yesseca quickly left the store with Dory in tow.
Tremaine quietly watched Yesseca leave. He watched her for a long time without saying a word.
"Mr. Tremaine?" Sheldon noticed that Tremaine was in a daze and went to snap him out of it.
Tremaine blinked, then looked at him.
As he stared at Sheldon, he asked, "Did Yesseca say that she liked the old me better?"
Sheldon had heard that too.
He was just as confused as Tremaine was.
He was one of his closest subordinates. He had seen their relationship from the moment it began till today.
They were always at each other's throats.
Yesseca would get so upset, her face turned red.
But now, Tremaine was very polite towards her.
He made sure to watch what he said to her.
How was it that she preferred the Tremaine from the past?
As Sheldon looked at him in
dusion, Tremaine added, "I've et
done so many horrible things t in the past."
He sounded very remorseful and guilty.

Sheldon quickly pointed out, "Mr. Tremaine, Miss Cowell said she preferred the old you. This means that you should just be yourself with her."
She wasn't referring to the mistakes they made in the past.
Sheldon had realized what Yesseca meant!
BUMS
Yesseca meant to say that she liked the old Tremaine because he was honest with her!
Back then, they may have argued a lot, but those arguments were what kept their spark alive!
The two of them often fought, but they were always lovers' quarrels.
But now, he was so polite and distant towards her.
He seemed more like a stranger to her.
Sheldon had cracked the code and understood how Yesseca felt.
Tremaine was shocked at Sheldon's revelation.
After some time, he asked, "But Sheldon, it's not like we can just turn back time, can we?"
Tremaine sounded very bitter.
Sheldon could tell.
He could feel Tremaine's bitterness seeping into him.
Sheldon then suggested, "Mr. Tremaine. Since Miss Cowell says she prefers the old you, perhaps you can be more yourself the next time you see her. Things won't be so awkward and distant between you two that way."
