Chapter 15

*-One Month Later-* (Angel)

It's been a month since I have been learning to control my emotions and even though it has been difficult because of my hormones, I have been working hard and have been able to do just that. I also learn that even though I'm pregnant, I can shift to my Lycan, though the process takes longer because my Lycan is trying to shift around our pup. A few days after I started training on how to control my emotions, I lost my temper and found out that I have the ability to control the element of fire. My dad and brothers were as shocked as I was, maybe even more. "Princess, we have a surprise for you" dad says, walking inside the kitchen.

"What is it?" I asked, biting into my apple. My brothers and dad smile as they hand me an envelope. I took the envelope and opened it. Inside there was a roundtrip ticket for me and a one way ticket for Colin. My eyes widened. "Seriously?" I asked.

"Yes, but one of your brothers needs to go with you. With the Kerr brothers still out there, I don't want you going alone. I need to make sure that you and my grandchild are safe", dad said.

"Okay", I squealed and hugged them. My belly has grown a little during the past month. Dad did say that Lycan pregnancy goes fast. That mom was pregnant with me for about five months before she gave birth to me. It was the same thing with my little brother. "Now just pack a few things. The plane leaves in two hours", Elijah said. My eyes widened and I looked at the ticket. He was right. I quickly went to my room and packed a few things and grabbed my cloak. I met Elijah downstairs. I kissed dad and Asher on the cheek before I followed Elijah out.

"We need to shift, princess", Elijah said, and I nodded. All I cared about was that I was going to see my mate and Faith was over the moon about it.

"So, you're telling me that there's a rogue pack?" I growled.

"Yes, we have no idea where it is located, but we got confirmation that it exists and a new rogue King was named, not long after Rogue King Geraldo was killed" Alpha Farres says.

"Does anyone know who this new rogue king is?" I asked.

"No, not yet, but I have people looking into it" he replied. I grabbed my glass of Burbon and downed it.

"There's one more thing, there are rumors that this rogue king is working with a very powerful witch" Alpha Farres said, and I couldn't hold back my growl. Grandma said that there was a dark witch that was throwing off the balance between dark and light. I sighed, rubbing my hands on my face.

"Alpha Colin, are you okay? You look exhausted and a little bit distraught" Alpha Farres said. He has no idea. I miss my mate and I'm going insane without her.

"I'm fine Alpha Farres. Just tired". I half lied. We have been here since this afternoon talking about our new alliance and sharing whatever information we had on the latest attacks from rogues. At first, I thought it was the Kerr brothers looking for my mate and I even caught a few and tortured them to see if they talked, but they refused no matter what I did to them.

"I have a special room for you" he said.

"Thank you" I said, and looked at my watch. It was too late to drive home and I had drunk a lot.

"You're on the third floor. Room 309. You can order anything you like and it is on the house" Alpha Farres said, handing me the key. I nodded my thanks and left the office. I go to the elevator. Before the door closes, a woman puts a hand between the doors then walks in when the doors open back up. That's when I realized who the woman was.

"Co- Alpha Colin", Tara says, bowing her head.

"Tara, what are you doing here?" I growled.

"I live here on the fourth floor" she says, pressing the button for the fourth floor. She looked up at me, giving me what I assumed was a sweet, flirtatious smile. A familiar feeling came over me and I tried to fight it, but I felt myself being pushed back. I watched as my hands reached out to Tara, pulling her to me and ki!sed her. She moaned into my mouth. I felt something on my neck which made me growl, but I still kept k!ssing her. I found myself in my room and I walked into the bedroom. I pulled Tara's dress up, and ripped her p*nties.

'No, no, no' I yelled inside my head.

'Xan, help me fight this' I shouted at my wolf.

'I... can't... something... is wrong' he said weakly.

'What the hell is going on?' I screamed in my head trying to get my body to react, but to no avail, yet I didn't stop trying to fight to get control of my body. I felt like I was in a cage. I could see and feel everything, but no matter how much I tried to fight, my body didn't obey. Tara pulls me in for another kiss and my body reacts the way she wants. I feel myself enter her core and I hate myself for it even though I don't have control of my body. I hear Xan whimper. It felt like time slowed down for me. I shuddered in disgust as I felt my body betray me to the end.

"Alpha", Ray shouts, making Tara jump. Suddenly, I had control over my body. I turned and my world crashed. There in front of Ray was my mate, Angel, tears running down her face, a hand above her heart, and a look of pure betrayal. "Alpha", Ray shouts, making Tara jump. "I don't want to hear it. Don't look for me and don't follow me", she then looked behind me and shook her head in disgust.

"I hope it was worth it, Alpha Colin" she then turned around and ran out.

"Angel, wait!" I shouted and went to run after her, but Ray stopped me.

"Move, I can't lose her" I growled.

"You already did" he said, looking at Tara, then shook his head in disappointment. I looked at Tara and ran towards her and grabbed her by her throat.

"This is all your fault" I roared.

"My fault? It was you who k!ssed me and brought me back to your room and made love to me" she smiled.

"I never want to see you again and if I do..." I leaned in closer "... I will tear you apart limb by limb." I ran out the door and took off down the stairs. Once I got to the ground floor, I ran to the lobby. I looked around, but I didn't see her. I sniffed the air and ran outside but she wasn't anywhere in sight. I couldn't help the howl that left my lips. Did I just lose my mate? What do I do now? Should I go after her? I felt a hand on my shoulder. "She's gone. Come on, let's get you back to the pack", Ray said.

"Take me to my grandma. I need to speak with her" I said. I got in the passenger seat and Ray drove off. Something tells me I have lost the love of my life. What the hell was going on? This is the second time and I need to get help from grandma. I needed to know what was going on.
