My Mate Is A Witch
Chapter 96

“Yes! Yes! Queen.” Santino said and looked at Oliver. “I apologize for my behavior, King.”

“I will have my eyes on you, Santino. And now that you’re going to become the Alpha, then… six months!! In six months, if I will replace anything from your end, then you can give a goodbye k**s to your Alpha Title.”

“Everything went well,” Artemis said, placing Artin on the bed.

“What if dad would have seen my mail?”

“Can we just avoid that topic for tonight? I really want to sleep without any stress.” Artemis requested unbuttoning Artin’s suit and changing his clothes. If they had decided to become parents, then he must know the basic things of handling a baby.

“Okay!!” Caroline agreed, and after freshening up, she went into the kitchen to get milk for Artin. He had barely eaten anything at the party, so he must be hungry; with this thought, Caroline returned to the room. When she entered the room, she saw Artemis struggling to change Artin’s clothes. Signaling him to leave, she took charge.

After half an hour!! The doorbell rang.

Artemis caught Colton’s scent and left the room to open the door for him, wondering why he was here tonight. He always used to leave for the hotel at night.

“Sorry!! I hope I didn’t disturb your sleep.” Colton mumbled, walking in, and his clothes were covered with b***d. “I couldn’t go like this to the hotel, so I came here!”

“It’s fine,” Artemis said. “Dad said those vampires weren’t there to attack the pack,” he added before asking, “Then why did you kill them? They might be good vampires.”

“I didn’t kill them just because I enjoyed hunting them down. I killed them; they weren’t good.” Colton responded with a frown and drank water as he was feeling thirsty and looked for food. “While I don’t understand you werewolves, you didn’t care to look into the matter as long as it didn’t concern your pack. Not even for humans or not even one of your kind.”

“What happened there exactly?”

“Seven male vampires were chasing a female werewolf. If I wouldn’t have intervened in between then, that poor werewolf would have died for sure.”

“Did I hear a FEMALE word from my brother?” Caroline came into the kitchen and saw Colton heating the remaining food at lunchtime. He might be feeling hungry. Colton rolled his eyes at her words.

“Relax, sweetheart!! He is not saying anything about his girlfriend. Just the fact that he saves a female werewolf.” Artemis laughed at the excitement of his mate.

“Oh! By the way, how was she? Was she beautiful? I mean, her coat? Her eyes?” Caroline asked with the hope that her brother might have fallen in love with that female werewolf at love at first sight. He sneered at her question and looked at his BIL in irritation.

In the next moment, Artemis dragged his mate from there, leaving Colton at peace.

Brandon was having a hard time believing what his wife had told him a few hours ago. He hadn’t been talking to Sophia from the moment she told him everything that Caroline had told her. Instead, he sat alone and thought over this whole scenario again and again. He was pinching himself from time to time with the hope that whatever he had heard and seen could be a dream.

He didn’t know what was making him more upset; Caroline got marked by her mate, OR she didn’t inform them about it until yesterday OR the fact that she would be staying in another country now, OR she was coming here with her mate for the approval of final official wedding.

A part of him wanted them to kick out of the house when they would be here by saying, ‘why were they even here for taking his approval when they didn’t take permission before?’

But in the next moment, he used to get scared by his own thoughts, ‘How could he think something like that? He didn’t have adopted her years back to leave her in the future just because she did something that he wasn’t very happy with.

But he was neither ready to let her go. When she was dating Mark, he never liked him much, but as long as her daughter was happy but kept his mouth shut. He knew that he caught buy this Mark guy with his money if Caroline would decide to settle down with him.

But Artemis didn’t look like a man who could be bought. It didn’t mean that he wouldn’t try, but at the moment, he wasn’t ready to let her go. Not now. Not yet. Not this sooner. Just the thought of handing over her daughter’s hands in Artemis’s hand after walking down the aisle.

He hated to admit it, but just the mere thought was bringing tears to his eyes.

“Hunter,” Sophia touched Brandon’s shoulder and sat on the chair beside him in the study room. She saw Brandon wiping the tears from the corner of his eyes. “Were you crying?”

“No! Something went in my eyes.”

“Oh, okay,” Sophia muttered, clearly knowing that he was lying.

“Why, Mon Amour [My Love]?” He asked. “She just walked out of one relationship and jumped into another.” He added another question.

“She wasn’t planning to do anything like that. You know that our daughter is not like that.” Sophia told him so that he would stop thinking otherwise. “It’s just that she fell in love at the most unexpected place and at the most unexpected time.”

“Remember I did the same twenty-five years back? I meant, my so-called boyfriend had left me in the morning, and within two days, I got married to you.” Sophia pointed out. Brandon hissed, recalling those memories.
