My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) -
Chapter 249
Chapter 249 Keep An Eye On Them
"Nothing for the time being."
Marco knew that something had happened to Janet, but he didn't know the specific situation. She sounded a little weak, and hearing that, he couldn't. help but ask anxiously, "Ms. Longfellow, are you OK?"
Janet pinched the space between her eyebrows and said, "I'm fine. Don't worry. I'll leave things at home with you. Remember to keep an eye on
Conrad. And Anastasia as well."
"Yes, I understand. Ms. Longfellow, be careful."
After Janet hung up the phone, Lily came back and brought fresh fruits for
Janet.
Meanwhile, Nigel came out of the inpatient building and stopped at the door.
After a while, he looked back in the direction of the top floor of the inpatient building. His eyes were filled with sadness, and he smiled bitterly. He thought, how torturing.
I have no place or right to ask Janet to stay away from Nathaniel
Out of sight, out of mind. Unfortunately, I can't even do that.
Collecting himself, Nigel turned around and continued walking toward the parking lot outside the hospital.
He found it strange. Janet's injuries this time were fishy, and she was saved by Nathaniel...
Nigel furrowed his brows. He had to replace a way to replace out the one behind the scenes who hurt Janet. He wouldn't let her be in danger again, and he wouldn't give Nathaniel a chance to get close to her.
00000
Nigel thought seriously, and he didn't notice that several leaders of the
hospital were standing at the entrance of the hospital, waiting for something. He looked casually towards the door.
There were a few black cars parked in front of the door, led by a rather low-key black Bentley with a Canadian license plate. The cars were being parked, and several bodyguards came from the cars behind and surrounded
the cars.
The leaders of the hospital immediately smiled and respectfully took a few steps forward. However, the bodyguards stopped them 10 feet in front of the
cars.
Nigel became more and more curious about the person in the car. He put his hands in his pockets leisurely and raised his eyebrows, looking. Soon, he saw
a tall man coming out of the car.
To his surprise, he saw a handsome face that looked like he was from
America. The man had a high nose and thin lips and was very handsome, but his expression was cold. A cold light flashed across his eyes, making him. intimidating even though he was not angry. No one dared to look at him.
Nigel felt that the plate was not simple. The owner might have something to do with the Canadian military.
But he could not remember for a moment when there was such a figure in
the Canadian military. After frowning and thinking for a moment, he figured that maybe he was wrong.
The high-level leaders of the hospital politely welcomed the man into the hall. There were a lot of people, and Nigel stopped paying attention to them. He turned and quietly left through the side door.
Get Bo
He figured that since it was a private hospital, perhaps the man was some
kind of sponsor.
Donahue, who stepped into the front door of the hospital, noticed the slender
back of the man who left through the side door.
Donahue thought, he looks a bit familiar. Was he by Janet's side before?
He turned vigilant because of his protectiveness of Janet, and he subconsciously wanted to send someone to take a look, but he held back
when he thought of Janet.
He quietly winked at his assistant. The latter understood and disappeared
into the crowd in silence.
On his side, the hospital leader gushed about the medical quality of the hospital. However, Donahue didn't bother at all. His lips parted slightly, and his voice was as cold as ice, deep, magnetic, powerful, and elegant. He said,
"Where is my sister Janet Longfellow's ward?"
The head of the hospital reacted and hurriedly said, "Mr. Smedley, please come with me."
The director of the hospital did not expect Donahue to come in person, nor did he expect that the patient surnamed Longfellow was Donahue's sister.
The director thought, if I had known, I would have put her in a better ward.
It was too late to regret it now. The director humbly took Donahue to the ward on the top floor of the inpatient building and quickly called for Janet's attending physician.
Donahue walked in front, his pace getting faster and faster, and he was
almost a little uneasy.
He wondered how Janet was doing.
Get Bo
When they arrived at the room at the end of the corridor, the director next to him was still talking.
"Mr. Smedley, this is Ms. Longfellow's attending physician. He is very good.
But if we had known that Ms. Longfellow is your family, we would have
definitely arranged for better doctors to treat Ms. Longfellow..." Donahue frowned slightly, and a hint of impatience flashed through his dark
eyes.
On the side, Donahue's assistant, Bryan Saul, had been observing Donahue's expression. Noticing the slight change in Donahue's expression, Bryan
quickly brought the person who kept talking away.
Donahue stopped frowning that much. He pushed the door open and
entered.
In the ward, Janet was leaning against the bed, holding a fruit tray in her hand, trying to put it on the cabinet beside the bed.
She looked at the door in a daze.
"Donahue? How did you get here so quickly?" Janet was shocked.
Janet was pale. Donahue stared at her for a while, and the emotions in his eyes became more and more terrifying. He quickly stepped forward, took the fruit plate in Janet's hand, and put it aside.
"Sit tight," Donahue reprimanded Janet in a low voice and glared at her.
Janet was no longer surprised, and she looked at Donahue with a smile. She said, "Donahue, I'm fine..."
Donahue turned a deaf ear to her, who was playing tough, and said coldly to
the door, "Get inside."
