My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) -
Chapter 253
Chapter 253 Stop Gloating
"Him..."
Marvin drawled his voice and subconsciously looked at Donahue, holding back his laughter,
Donahue did not make a sound, but his eyes were smiling as well,
"What's going on?" Janet was confused,
"About Beacher, I have no idea what he was doing a few days ago. But right
now, I think he is busy clearing his name," Marvin said slowly.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Janet asked, feeling more puzzled,
Before she could finish, the door of the ward was pushed open with a bang.
"Jill!"
Beacher rushed in with messy hair and almost pounced at Janet's bed. Fortunately, Marvin reacted in time and raised his leg to stop Beacher.
"You are so reckless. You may hurt Jill!"
Janet was not hurt, but she was a little confused by Beacher's sudden
appearance.
She thought, I very much suspect that the anesthetic I have just been given has affected my brilliant brain, or why can't I tell what they are doing? "Beacher, what's with you?"
Beacher was sweating profusely. The fury and worry on his handsome face had not dissipated, and he reached out to grab Janet's hand to check. “Jill, let me take a look. Where are you hurt?"

Janet hurriedly said, "I'm fine, Beacher. It's nothing serious."
"Liar! Then why do you look so pale? Damn it! If those people were in my
hands, they would suffer!"
Beacher was furious. After he finished speaking, he wanted to grab Janet
and check on her again.
Marvin grabbed Beacher's collar and threw Beacher to the back of the room
without hesitation.
"Fuck! Marvin!"
Beacher turned around, his eyes burning with rage.
Marvin clicked his tongue and said, "I've reminded you already. Don't be so reckless when you are with Jill. If you hurt her, you'll be in trouble!"
Beacher wanted to talk back, but when he thought that Donahue was aside, he held back his anger. His cheeks were puffed up, making him look like a frog.
Janet sensed something. Chances were, someone in the ward provoked
Beacher.
She was always interested in being an onlooker. Now that there was a
potential drama, she felt that the wound on her body healed much more quickly.
"Beacher, who messed with you?" she asked, intrigued.
Beacher glared at Marvin.
"Him! He turned a blind eye!" Beacher was pissed off. Yet he still knew the person he couldn't afford to offend, so when he looked at Donahue, his tone turned much weaker, though he still sounded full of resentment. He said,
Got Bo
"And Donahue, too."
Marvin burst out laughing.
He couldn't help but laugh out loud as he held the back of the chair with one
hand.
"You were the one who overtook was pulled over by a traffic policeman. And you yourself a professional racing driver? I won't pay for the ticket
for you! How embarrassing!"
"I'm not familiar with the road situation here! Stop gloating!" Beacher was like'
a hedgehog getting all defensive.
"Also, what kind of brother are you? I called out to you, OK? How could you
have the driver speed up and leave? I was all dusty, you know?"
Beacher's voice almost shook the room. It was obvious that he was
extremely angry.
Marvin sat down and snorted, "First of all, I am not gloating. Second,
Donahue didn't interfere. Why should I?"
Beacher gritted his teeth in anger. He grabbed a tissue beside him and threw
it at Marvin.
He thought, I wanted to question Donahue. I called him, and all he said was none of his assistants were available. And then he hung up on me! Yeah, right!
He is a CEO, and he couldn't even spare me an assistant?
But I don't dare to take it out on Donahue, which makes Marvin the only
outlet.
Yet Marvin was nimble and dodged it. Beacher was unwilling and wanted to
replace something else.
Janet couldn't help but laugh as she watched the two bicker like kids. When she laughed, she accidentally pulled the wound on her abdomen and let out a soft "Ouch".
Donahue coughed and stopped Beacher and Marvin with dissatisfaction, saying, "Stop messing around! If you two have nothing better to do, my mine
is short-staffed. I can send you there now!"
Hearing his words, Beacher and Marvin stopped unwillingly.
The two were terrified when thinking of Donahue's mine.
Three years ago, Janet and Beacher quarreled, and Donahue learned about
the matter. Although Beacher was looking out for Janet, he angered her anyway, so Donahue had Beacher sent to the mine to work. Marvin was mean and said a few sarcastic words to Beacher, and then
Donahue sent him to the mine as well.
Donahue claimed that the reason was that Marvin did not defend Janet.
Beacher and Marvin stayed in the mine for a long time. They were only allowed to leave after digging out the raw gem that Janet liked, and by the time they left, their skin was tanned. From then on, they had learned their
lesson and hated Donahue's mine.
Janet looked at the three with a smile, feeling warm.
She missed those days in the past.
Ever since what happened at home, they had been getting older, and it had
been a long time since they had been so intimate.

"Donahue, I'm fine." Janet had enough and wanted to offer Beacher and
Marvin a way out. She continued, "Donahue, Beacher, I want to talk to Marvin. Can we have the room for a while?"
