Chapter 264 What Are You Going To Do?

Janet and Nathaniel stared at each other in the ward. It seemed that they would be at loggerheads immediately.

Just then, there came a knock on the door.

A nurse entered with a cart full of medicine. She checked Janet's injury while blocking Nathaniel's gaze and saying to him, "I need to change the dressing

for the patient. Please leave."

Since Nathaniel remained silent, Janet suppressed the urge to roll her eyes

and sneered, "Mr. Webster, what are you going to do? Didn't you hear that? I

need to change my dressing."

"The servants are not here. I have to stay here to take care of you, okay?"

Nathaniel replied in anger.

Janet thought that he just said so to make things difficult for her, so she raised her eyebrows and sneered, "What do you mean? Are you afraid that I'll

die? Don't worry. I won't forget to repay you."

Nathaniel frowned deeply in an instant. He glared at Janet coldly, working

hard to stop himself from losing his temper.

Janet felt much better after seeing his sullen look. She turned her head and

said in a flat voice, "Hurry up and leave."

Janet frowned slightly as she waited for a long time but failed to hear

Nathaniel leave and close the door.

Just then, Nathaniel said to the nurse, "You can go out. Leave it to me."

The blond nurse said with a serious face, "You are not a medical worker. I

can't let you change the dressing for the patient."

"Then, you can stand beside," Nathaniel said impatiently and glanced at the

nurse.

Since the nurse was frightened by him, she didn't stop him timely. Nathaniel took the gauze and medicine and then walked closer to Janet. "Nathaniel, what are you going to do?" Janet asked through her gritted teeth. Nathaniel overlooked Janet's words. Clearly, he was not good at dressing change, but he looked extremely cautious. He stepped forward and opened Janet's clothes.

Apart from applying medicine for Janet, he seemed not to think of anything else. He probably was afraid of annoying Janet or making her feel pain. He did every step slowly.

Janet looked at Nathaniel, who lowered his head and applied medicine for her carefully, and couldn't help being in a trance.

She had taken care of Nathaniel in such a gentle way before. Unfortunately,

the latter let her down.

Thinking of this, Janet was no longer hesitant and lay on the bed.

Since Nathaniel wanted to serve her, she didn't need to refuse.

As she lay on the bed with her back against him. Nathaniel couldn't see her expression. He could only see a few strands of her hair scattering on her thin back. He felt as if he had been touched by a hair, and had an itching heart.

The nurse at the side pursed her lips and left the word silently.

Ernest and Orville wandered around the hospital in boredom. Not long after,

they decided to go to Beacher.

Beacher stood by the railing alone and looked into the distance on the top floor. Ernest patted him on the shoulder. "What are you doing here alone?" Beacher cast a casual glance at Ernest and did not say anything.

Ernest knew he was like this and did not feel uneasy.

Orville was outgoing and talkative. He said with a smile, "Beacher, you must

be tired. Thank you for taking care of Janet these days."

Beacher was impatient when facing Orville. He sneered, "She is my younger sister. I'm responsible for taking care of her. You don't need to say thank you

to me."

Orville didn't take his ironic words to the heart. He continued, "You're right.

You and Janet indeed get on well. It is her fortune to have a good brother like

you."

Ernest could not help but look at Orville with admiration.

Beacher felt even more unpleasant.

He could tell that Orville admired Janet and tried to soften him up. Otherwise, with Orville's status, he didn't need to talk with Beacher like this.

Although Orville seemed to be a good match with Janet and was concerned about her, Beacher didn't want him to be Janet's boyfriend.

Orville was so young that he was not mature and stable enough. Even if he loved Janet sincerely, he probably would turn to love others in the future.

Beacher didn't allow Janet to be hurt once more.

Orville did not mind Beacher's attitude. He pretended to be casual and said to Beacher, "I haven't congratulated you yet." Chanter 261 What Are You Going To De

Beacher looked at him suspiciously. Ernest realized what he was going to do and quickly pulled Orville by his sleeve. However, it was too late.

"Mr. Webster went to visit Janet just now. Congratulations! It seems that Mr. Webster and Janet will get back together soon."

As soon as Beacher heard this, he opened his eyes wide and stood up.

"Why didn't you tell me about it earlier?"

He roared in exasperation and hurriedly went downstairs.

Ernest, who was at the side, looked at Orville and said with a meaningful smile, "It turns out that I underestimated you. Are you planning to curry favor with Beacher because of Janet?"
