It was not hard for Andrea to understand what the director meant. She smirked, then turned to look at the director and asked confidently, "Are you talking about me?"

She did not even bother to address the director politely. It was evident how much respect she held for the production crew.

Upon hearing this, the director immediately took back his words and said with a smile, "Of course not. I'm talking about all the rookies. We can all see how talented you are, so why would I have anything to say about you? Enough. Let's all take a break. Well start back up in 30 minutes."

After that, the director turned around to head to the lounge. As soon as his back was facing her, his smile dropped as he mouthed several curse words.

We avoided Andrea as Mullen brought me over to Hendrix's room.

When we entered, Hendrix had his back to the door, standing silently. I had no idea what he was thinking. His tall figure blocked out the light behind him completely, making him appear even muscular.

"If you have something to say, just say it and then go." Hendrix probably thought it was some assistant entering his room, so his temper was not the best.

It had only been a week, but when I heard his hoarse voice, it felt like an eternity had passed.

Looking at his broad back, I really wanted to hug him.

And so I did.

However, Hendrix was too tense. He mistook me for some ill intentioned stranger. As soon as I touched him, he immediately stepped away and distanced himself from me.

When he turned around and realized it was me, he frowned tightly. "Why are you here?"

Without Jordan present, although he was still cold, his voice was much gentler than usual.

"I was hospitalized for so long, but you never came to see me, so I decided to come over myself."

Longing for someone was a strange feeling. When I could not see him, every second felt torturous. But now that we were face to face, I seemed to miss him even more.

If only I had moved faster earlier, then I would have been able to hug him. Hugging him gave me energy and reassured me that I was not alone in

this.

"Jordan cares a lot for you. Nothing would happen to you." Hendrix lowered his eyes and avoided my sight.

I

suppressed the tears welling up in

my eyes and laughed bitterly at

myself Yeah, he's about to fall in

love with me. A man as smart as you is slowly ingraining himself in my life. What do you think?"

"If I were you, I would be happy. At least this proves that you are very safe now." Hendrix's voice was still faint and emotionless.

Perhaps what he wanted to say was

that things were good as long as I was safe. But I wanted to hear something more. "But you are not me. Otherwise, you would know that these righteous words are not what I want to hear."

Hendrix glanced in the direction of the door out of the corner of his eye. Although he was careful, I still noticed it and reminded him, "Mullen is standing guard outside. No one will come in. We're the only ones here."

We were in a safe area. There was no need to worry about Jordan suddenly showing up.

However, Hendrix stubbornly insisted on being cautious. He replied coldly, "If I could bring myself to say what you wanted to hear, then we wouldn't be getting a divorce."

After that, he hurried to the door and opened it. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks.

"Sometimes, time is the greatest killer. It can change everything and destroy everything."

All I saw was his side profile before he left the room.

The room was warm, but I felt cold all over. I crossed my arms and hugged myself tightly.

Time could change everything. Was that what Hendrix meant? Or was there a deeper meaning to his words?

I stayed in the room alone for a long time and kept thinking about Hendrix's last sentence, but I ended up with nothing.

I heard the door open and thought it was Mullen, who had come in to urge me to leave. Subconsciously, I asked, "Mullen, what do you think the sentence time can change everything means?" However, when I raised my head, I was met with Jordan's face under the bright white light.

I immediately understood what Hendrix meant.

Jordan was always keeping an eye on us. Even if we did not flirt, being in the same room alone was enough to show what kind of relationship we were in.

After all, how could two people who hated each other bear to be in the same room for so long?

Jordan looked me up and down. After a while, he said playfully, "It seems like Hendrix is much more determined to hate you than love you."
