I crossed my arms and rubbed them as I was feeling a little cold. I looked at him calmly and said, "You can't do what I want you to do, but you like to give me things that I don't want at all. You love and treat someone with yourself as the center. We are from two different worlds. I have nothing to teach you."

Jordan's expression changed again. His expression turned dark, and his breath became frighteningly cold.

Was he angry again?

Was it because he couldn't bear to hear those words?

Well, he should have seen this coming.

It would only be fair if this uncomfortable feeling affected his mind and made him unable to eat or sleep.

In this silence, Jordan said slowly, word by word, "Hendrix doesn't love you, yet you gave up your principles for him, again and again. I kept giving you chances, but you are still harsh to me. Arianna, don't you think that you're being unfair?"

What a joke! He was a devil, who trampled on people's lives and brought disaster to everyone, was actually hoping to be treated fairly.

If things were fair, how about those whose families were destroyed because of his drugs? What about Hendrix's life, my life, and the bullet Evan had to suffer from? Who could we turn to for justice? Moreover, he constantly mentioned Hendrix. It was obvious that he didn't love me at all. It was just a kind of desire for victory and possession that was more stubborn than Andrea's.

But I couldn't openly admit my prejudice against him, so I had to let it go and deal with him patiently, "Fine, I apologize. I should be responsible for what happened today as well. So we are even now."

"But I hope that things like secretly arranging for my family to come won't happen again. The Reid family has rules, and they can't accept you. You can't use tricks to force them into this. I owe them enough. I don't want to make trouble for them anymore."

"Okay, I promise you, I won't do anything to your family." Jordan's face relaxed a little, and he agreed without hesitation.

"Okay." I let go of my hands and rested them on the sides of my body, which meant that I was less defensive.

"But Arianna," Jordan suddenly spoke and pulled out his right hand from the pocket. Suddenly, there was a diamond ring in his hand.

It was a pink diamond, glittering and translucent. The diamond reflected the light of different colors. It was a dazzling sight.

"In exchange, put it on for me," Jordan said as he lifted the ring.

Rings were used in a marriage as a lifelong pledge. It represented all the romance of love.

I was stunned for a moment. I didn't know when he had the idea of being with me for the rest of his life. I stood still on the spot and didn't know what to say.

"Put it on. Whenever I see it, I will never give up," Jordan said.

"Even if I want you to die?" I asked coldly.

"Even if you want me to die." Jordan repeated with a determined look in his eyes.

"Okay." I took the ring, raised my left hand, and put it on my middle finger. "Satisfied?"

Jordan's eyes were full of smiles. He е pursed his lip but couldn't suppress his smile. Only then did I notice that he had a ring on his left hand as welt... on his ring finger.

I thought that he wouldn't know about the meaning of wearing a ring on the ring finger, so I deliberately avoided this topic. For a moment, felt guilty and was afraid that he would force me to give up the position that belonged to Hendrix, so 14ooked away and pretended not to know anything.

"Alright, let's go downstairs and eat. I'm taking you to a meeting tonight." I didn't know if Jordan was teasing me or not but he deliberately reached out the hand that had the ring and held my hand.

He looked so frank that I had nothing to worry about. I reached out to hold his hand and let him lead me downstairs.
