My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 2356
Hendrix could have pointed out the relationship between me and Aaron. However, it was probably for my safety that he chose to avoid that and connected Aaron to Charles, whose names were well-known in Zuckerburg, instead.
Everyone understood that the closer one was to a person, the more influenced one would get. In the end, one might not be able to differentiate between what was right and wrong.
At that moment, it was obvious that there was no way Jordan could explain himself, and even if he tried, no one might believe him.
However, Jordan continued to act like he wasn't worried and hurried. Instead, he tidied up his clothes, looking as if he had some other thoughts in his mind when he replied, "I don't need to explain to you about what I do."
Grayson instantly bared his teeth in hatred. He squinted his eyes and revealed a sly and fierce look. "In that case, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
After that, he raised his right hand and gestured to his subordinate behind him. The man immediately took out a gun from his pocket and aimed it at
Jordan.
Jordan raised his head calmly, revealing an elegant and slightly strange smile. He asked, "Grayson, you've been waiting for this day to come, haven't you?"
Grayson snorted sarcastically and did not take him seriously anymore. "So what? You betrayed the group and everyone. No one can save you this time! You could only blame yourself for what you did. You shouldn't have been so stupid, right?"
Without any hesitation, Grayson shouted, "Kill him!"
However, as soon as he finished speaking, there was no gun sound as he had imagined. The whole room was dead silent instead.
Grayson's smile froze. He hurriedly stood up and scolded his men for not making the move, "B*stard, I asked you to pull the trigger. Are you deaf?"
While he was shouting, the subordinate's gun gradually moved, slowly turning its direction and aiming at Grayson's head.
Then, without any explanation, the bullet was fired and hit Grayson's forehead.
As the sound of the gun echoed throughout the room, Grayson fell to the ground. His body trembled for a while before he became completely
motionless.
Jordan stood up calmly. He picked up the napkin on the table, wiped his hands, and uttered coldly to Grayson's body, "You said it yourself, Grayson. You betrayed the group and everyone. Therefore, this is what you get."
After that, he picked up the napkin that he had used to wipe his hands and threw it on Grayson's face. The napkin fluttered down then covered the man's face.
Looking at the body of their close
friend, who they had known for many years, Kingsley and Francis were about to lose their temper at the sight of his tragic death.
However, before they could even net
react, Jordan went behind them first, patting them heavily on the shoulder as he remarked sincerely, "Both of you should think this through. Do you really want to fall out with me for a person who betrayed you?"
Kingsley came to his senses instantly. "Do you mean that Grayson was the one who leaked out our information? That's impossible!"
Jordan was not in the mood to explain. "Whether it's true or not, you both should consider it yourself. If you want to take revenge, there's plenty of time in the future. But now..."
He suddenly stopped talking after saying these words. He turned around and took the gun away. From across the table, he aimed the gun at Rosalie, who had not spoken the whole time.
Francis was so frightened that he
panicked again. He looked at the gun and then at Rosalie, for fear that it would be his turn next. "What... Are you going to end all our lives here today?"
Jordan ignored his words and stared straight at Rosalie. His eyes were filled with indignation and dissatisfaction. He gritted his teeth and asked, "Why are you doing this?"
