I slowly lowered my head and looked at Hendrix's pale face due to the sudden pain. I smiled lightly as though I hadn't just stepped on his hand, and I said, "Oh, sorry. I didn't see you." "It's fine," His voice was so faint that I couldn't figure out any emotion in it.

Walking past him, I went to pour myself a glass of water. Then, I proceeded to sit down on a chair in the ward and began to sip on it.

Hendrix was still crouching. With a straight face, he pulled out the shards of glass that had pierced into his palm.

Blood dripped from his hand and fell on the ground, accumulating into a pool of horrifying liquid.

It seemed like it hurt. But I couldn't feel it.

All I felt was extreme frustration.

When Andrea came into the wardroom and saw Hendrix's badly hurt wound, she almost wanted to tear me up. "Arianna, what did you do?" she barked.

I turned to look out of the window. Judging by the looks of it, it was already quite late into the night. Andrea was more in love with Hendrix than I imagined.

I raised my eyebrows at her while catching sight of Josiah and Austin, who had followed her into the ward.

I smiled softly, "Thank you for coming to see me at this hour. I appreciate it."

Andrea glared at me and crouched down to take a look at Hendrix's injury. At this time, the television in the ward suddenly turned on by itself.

As expected, the video showed Andrea everything she needed to know.

Since I had watched it once before, I was already immune to it. I used the spare time to observe the looks of the other people in the room.

They were scared. They felt pity. They were shocked.

It was indeed so smart of Aaron to come up with this way to make everyone see the video at the same time.

After a long time, the video was over. Not speaking a word, Andrea looked at me, and then at Hendrix's hands.

Her face was ashen. I really liked to see her break her high and mighty personality. I put down the water glass in my hand, and I slowly walked towards her. I also lowered myself to maintain eye level with her, and I smiled softly, "Miss Burton, have you enjoyed yourself just now? Do you want to know what a baby suffocated to death looks like after being taken out of the womb?"

Andrea was terrified, and her face was deathly pale. "Arianna, you're crazy!"

I smiled, enjoying her panicked look, and I put my hand on her pregnant bump. My smile slowly turned distorted with hatred, I whispered, "Do you want to experience the pain I suffered at that time? Valerie must also like to handle babies in this way, right? Or else she won't use it on me. So, what do you think?"

"Arianna, you're talking nonsense!" Andrea slumped to the ground from the shock, and slowly inched away from me.

Austin recovered from the shock and quickly went to help the terrified Andrea up. While he was doing so, he glared at me, "Arianna, how can you be sure that Madam Lawson was behind this?"

I cocked my eyebrows, "Oh, you still need the evidence?" At this point, I was already fed up with their blind trust in Valerie. I said in displeasure, "It's not fun to spoil the story so early into the game. Well, I'll show you what a suffocated child looks like some other day."

My eyes fell onto Andrea's belly, and I laughed like there was nothing to hold me back anymore, "You can also have a good look at how your baby will look like after they suffocated to death. What do you think?"

"Help me! She's crazy! Take me away!" Andrea grabbed onto Austin's arm tightly, begging him to take her away from me. She was so frightened that she couldn't even speak coherently. Austin looked at me with a complicated look on his face.

I felt like the play had come to an intermission as soon as Andrea left. I glanced at Hendrix - still crouching on the ground and in an emotional turmoil — and then looked at Josiah, who was still standing by the door throughout the whole scene earlier.

I noticed the sympathy in his eyes. It stung me, and it made me more agitated.

Not wanting to be bothered any further, I decided to call Irvin. Once he picked up the call, I asked, "Are you trying to get rid of me? Don't leave me in the hospital. I'm scared!"

Hendrix glanced at me. His dark eyes were so deep like a void of darkness.

I knew that he was in agony. But that changed nothing.
