After a pause, he raised his voice, "Your interpretation of love might be different from ours. Whether Arianna and I have feelings for each other, as an outsider, how much do you think you can understand?" These words made Nerissa feel completely alienated as an outsider. Nerissa's expression didn't look too good.

She wanted to refute, but Hendrix continued, "Aunty, you'd better not interfere in my affairs in the future. You are already the daughter-in-law of the Granger Group. If you can't let the Roberts go, then I don't see how we need to keep in touch from here on out."

These words were harsh. After all, they were relatives. How could they cut ties with each other like this?

Hendrix then ended the call. Nerissa looked at me with a deathly pale and embarrassed expression, "Arianna, were you trying to trick me?"

I found this funny and shrugged, "Not really! I called him so that I could clarify who was the person calling the shots regarding our divorce."

After a pause, I smiled faintly at her, "Now it seems that you were the only one who made that decision. Therefore, I will avoid arguing with Hendrix to ensure that our relationship does not continue to deteriorate."

I said this, hinting to Nerissa that she was a good-for-nothing who tried to ruin someone else's marriage. Nerissa was a sensible person, so it was impossible that she couldn't put two and two together. "Arianna!" She raised her voice and said, "I may not be able to intervene in your marriage, but the baby in Andrea's belly belongs to the Roberts and I won't let him be born without a name!"

I nodded. I didn't think there was anything wrong with her words, so I agreed. "Mrs. Roberts, what you're saying does make sense. However, let me remind you that you should firstly determine whether Hendrix really is the father of Andreas's baby. Otherwise, Hendrix would be a substitute father for nothing."

It was getting late and I could feel the hunger rise within. When I picked up my bag, I said to her with a smile, "By the way, there's something else you might not be aware of. Do you know why my child died during child birth? Perhaps you could ask Valerie. You could even ask Andrea. To distinguish between right from wrong, you'd better not use your eyes; your mind and heart are much better at that." After that, I picked up my bag and left the cafe.

It was frustrating to be asked to have coffee instead of a meal during lunch hour.

On the first floor of the shopping center, there was a new restaurant called "Terrible Sushi". I wanted to laugh at the sight of the name.

The owner of the establishment must be a young man who was definitely not short of money. Otherwise, wouldn't he be worried that his business would flop by having this much fun with his reputation?

Out of curiosity, I couldn't help but buy a box from them. It was quite pretty, to be honest. The sushi looked good and appetizing.

I thought that Irvin probably hadn't had anything to eat. So, I went back to get another box. Unfortunately, I bumped into Andrea on my way back.

It seemed that they were out shopping. She and her mother were dressed in a refined and fashionable way, and even Andrea, in all her pregnant glory, was looking pretty great.

The rich really lived exquisitely.

I wanted to turn around immediately to leave so that they wouldn't see me.

After all, if we were to meet in a confined area, things were bound to get a little physical, and it was not appropriate to quarrel in such a public place.

However, before I could make my swift escape, Andrea and Valerie caught sight of me.
