Kelsey was trembling while keeping her hands close to her body. Seeing her, I asked, "Why didn't you wait inside since the weather's freezing?"

She smiled, and her eyes looked a little bleak. "I... was waiting for you." I didn't question it, seeing that she looked a little poor.

Bridge House was no high-end place. Previously, while Kelsey worked in the Roberts Group, she was paid quite handsomely that she would not need to care about splurging on luxuries once in a while.

I paused and took the initiative to speak. "Kelsey, you're looking for me because..."

"Director Reid, do you still remember the incident when you were kidnapped at the underground parking lot?" Kelsey spoke frankly.

I was surprised that she knew about it. There was only a handful of people who knew about it, and that excludes her.

I thought about it. Only Josiah, Richard, and I knew about this matter.

Seeing me frown, she asked, "Have you ever wondered why your kidnappers used your baby to threaten you to make a project bid at that time? Not many people knew about the plan."

"Isn't Calvin Richard's son? When I saw Michael Lewis together with Calvin, the thought flashed across my mind and I connected the dots, which is why..." I could reckon why or how they both knew about the pregnancy.

Kelsey shook her head. "Richard had never even told Evelyn about it, So, how would Calvin know? Calvin and his father's relationship was bad and tense, they don't even speak much."

There was only Josiah left if Richard was left out. I couldn't help but to frown. "Doctor Saunders is Hendrix's best friend. Are you saying that he was involved in this matter?"

She looked at me. Her lips trembled a little perhaps due to nervousness. "Do you believe it?"

I shook my head and sighed. "Josiah had no reason to do it." Josiah wouldn't gain anything from doing something like this even though he owned some shares. Although he fancied Andrea, I was pretty sure that he wouldn't do such a thing to me for her.

Kelsey got a little anxious seeing my reaction. "Then, you should ask what happened between Hendrix and Josiah a long time ago. Maybe then, you'll believe me."

There was a lot to take in that I couldn't help frowning. "Kelsey, I understand that you want to leave Calvin, but you don't have to do it in such a manner. I don't care about the past anymore." Compared to the pain of losing my child, the kidnapping was nothing compared to it.

"Do you believe that Josiah and the Moore Family are working together to set up a huge trap for Hendrix?
