I turned over and watched him sleeping soundly with his eyes closed. He looked so handsome even in his sleep. I noticed how haggard he looked these days, with dark circles under his eyes; perhaps he had been feeling tired recently.

He seemed to be in deep sleep. I reached my hand towards his nose, and started tracing the outline of his face.

When I caught a whiff of the faint scent of wine in his breath, I couldn't help but frown. I missed it earlier as he had just taken a bath. But now that I could take a closer whiff, I realized that he had been drinking. Though I was very tired, I failed to sleep well and would wake up once in a while.

I stayed up all the way till dawn before finally falling asleep.

However, I was woken up by Hendrix in a dze.

I raised my hand and tried to push him away, but he held me down almost immediately.

Perhaps he was having a hard time restraining himself this early in the morning.

I was so sleep drunk. When I opened my eyes, I noticed that his face was close to me and he was staring intensely at me with his black eyes.

I felt a little uncomfortable and tried to push him away, only to have my hands held above my head. He ordered in a low and hushed tone, "Don't move!"

I pursed my lips and dodged his lips. "Hendrix..."

"Don't make me mad. We're not getting a divorce, and you should carry out your wifely duties." Hendrix said.

I couldn't speak.

Suddenly, the phone rang; it was lan. He must be calling to ask me about my flight's boarding time.

Hendrix was the first to pick up the call. He muttered into the phone, "You're calling in early. Are you trying to hear us carrying out our couple's activity?" This person... was shameless!

I didn't know what lan replied on the other end of the phone. After ending the call, he seemed to be even more furious.

It was almost noon when he was done torturing me.

I was already tired to begin with from the lack of sleep. After going at it with him, my exhaustion grew tenfold.

"What are you going to do in Ucrebury?" He laid down beside me, eyes still lingering on me.

I closed my eyes, ignoring his question. Then, as I got up to head to the bathroom, he held me down and motioned me to answer his question.

I forcibly answered, "I want to take a shower!"

"I'll take you there!" He said as he embraced me.

"No need!"

"I'll take you!" There was anger in his tone.

As soon as he finished speaking, he carried me into the bathroom. He put me in the bathtub and turned on the water tap for me.

I thought that he would leave after this. I didn't expect him to stand under the shower to take a bath as well.

This man really knew how to make me speechless.

Compared to just now, this was even more... awkward!

After I exited the bathroom, I found that Hendrix was already dressed. When he saw that I was wrapped in a towel, his eyes darkened. "The company's annual holiday starts tomorrow. Let's go see the family before heading back to Ucrebury together."

"No!" I said with a calm face. "I've already booked today's ticket."

"Refund it!" He barked, his voice terrifyingly cold.

I puckered my lips and furrowed my brows. "You can go back tomorrow. It'll be troublesome for me to ask for a refund."

He glanced at me and stretched out his slender hands towards me. I knitted my brows. "What?"

"I'll refund it for you!"

I didn't know what to say to him.

"No need!" I had no interest in continuing this fight with him, so I turned my back to him and went to the closet. When I came out, Hendrix was no longer in the room.

After packing up, I looked at the time and saw that I had to leave soon. I then brought my suitcase downstairs.

Suddenly, I received a message from the airline company, informing me that my ticket had been refunded.

I was shocked for a moment before I realized that Hendrix was the one who did it.

I had tried so hard to hold back my anger for the entire morning and I was already at my limit. This was the last straw; I could no longer keep calm. I felt the anger rushing through my veins as I smashed my phone right onto the floor.

When I went downstairs, I found Hendrix sitting at the dining table, having breakfast. Minnie was not around, so he only baked himself a few slices of bread.

I then rushed over to him, picked up the bread on the table and threw it right at him as I yelled in anger, "Hendrix, is this funny to you?"
